This was a great stop for our day trip to Solvang! Such an easy dining experience too if you are not too picky about an "elevated" dining experience, in which our case, we were just hungry and wanted something quick and easy to eat! You basically can just pick any open table they have (indoor and outdoor seating options, dog friendly!), order at the bar, and then your food is delivered to your table. Such an easy dining experience! They have a great selection of beers and bar food, we enjoyed the carnitas nachos and the burger and both were delicious and satiating! Right in the middle of this cute little town so plenty of shops and picture opportunities for before or after your meal!

I dislike the walk up window. It's a brewery. Let us sit and serve us at the table. I was irritated that she did not have recommendations when I asked nor got my correct order for onion rings. The meal however was delicious despite being out of pulled pork and I enjoyed my beer. It was lively altho challenging to see the soccer game. My kids were happy playing checkers and they made friends playing tether ball! I'll try another place in solvang when we come back to visit.

Large, spacious, and dog friendly brewery with plenty of seating. We ordered the wings, elote, onion rings, and the sampler platter, and everything was delicious. The wings had a nice kick to them, and all of the sides were great for sharing. There were three of us, and it ended up being more than enough food. My only minor complaint was the service. Nothing was wrong or unpleasant, but we weren't checked on throughout our meal. Overall, I'd still come back for the food and relaxed atmosphere.

It was a long day and things were starting to close. Looked for places to eat and saw that this place was open until 1am and got decent reviews on the food. So we figured why not. I'm sure glad we did. The food for "bar food" was easily above average. We ordered the sausage sampler and shared a BLT. I washed it down with a blood orange beer they had on tap. Everything the delicious. The area was nice and clean, service was friendly and attentive and food was good. Couldn't ask for much more. Especially considering it was late at night. I'm glad they were open and would definitely like to come back! Highly recommended!

Great spot. Delicious food and beer. We stopped by during the week wasn't busy at all. The service was great, we got a food right away. Highly recommend the wings 10/10 and the nachos are huge (great for groups). It's a big space and are able to accommodate large groups.

((Friday night)) Try their buffalo wings! They have a great flavor. They had a bit of a crunch and the ranch was amazing. Now that that's out of the way. The place seemed very clean atmosphere was lively. They had indoor and outdoor seating. This is a place. I would definitely visit often if I was a local. One thing I will say we did have to order at the bar, there wasn't someone who would go to the table to take your order. They did, however, take the food out to your table.

We tried this out for dinner one night when we were staying in town. It was a short walk from our hotel. There is an inside dining area or a robust outside seating area. They have a fireplace outside that you can pull up a chair. This was a cute find in town and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. The food was good and the service was very friendly. You ordered out a window and they brought it out to your table.

Went bar Hopping to watch Monday night football, Texans vs Steelers. Found this location for some drinks and snacks. Solvang brewery speaks for itself with assorted IPAs, Seltzers and beer. Kept ordering drinks all night. Ambiance was great. Reminded me of being in Europe, Denmark and Germany along with Mexican flavor added to it. This place had a good vibe. The workers were friendly and prompt with drinks. No issues just had a good time. Parking was available up front. It was slow since it was a Monday. Restrooms were clean. I would comeback anytime if I am in the area. Kudos to Andrea, she was professional. Cool peeps

Sausage Platter, Tomato Soup, Loaded baked potatoes w Tri Tip

You need to get the tri-tip add-on on the large baked potato. The value here is insane -- the portion is huge, hearty, cheesy, and exactly as satisfying as it sounds. It was so good we came back the next day just to order it again. The tri-tip was flavorful and generous, making this one of the most filling items in town. The tomato soup was another standout: creamy, well-seasoned, and comforting without being heavy. We also tried the sausage platter. I enjoyed it overall (especially if you're a sausage fan), though the sausages themselves didn't particularly stand out. That said, the sides really carried it -- pretzels, sauerkraut, pickled onions, and dips were all solid and thoughtfully paired. Only critique: the baked potato was cooked on parchment paper, which absorbed moisture and mixed slightly into the food. Didn't ruin the dish, but worth noting. Still highly recommend for value and comfort food.

Located in the heart of Solvang, if you enjoy good food and beer this is the place for you. Also, there's a full bar, but we stuck with beers. Plenty of seating inside and outside. You order food and drinks from the bar and your food is delivered to your table. Our Sando and soup was delicious. The entire staff is welcoming and help create a fun vibe. If you give SBC a try, you won't be disappointed. Cheers!

Had one beer here. Didn't try their food. But great experience, everywhere you turn is a picture. Lots of outdoor seating.

Arrived in Solvang during lunch time. Wanted to celebrate getting a parking spot during Julefest :D Saw that the brewing company had some tables available. Quickly grabbed a table and ordered a few things. I was lucky because as soon as I got back to the table, the line to order extended onto the sidewalk. Food was delivered fairly quickly. Kids enjoyed their fish and chips. The chicken sandwich was decent. Also got the black and bleu bacon burger with the veggie patty instead. It was good. The solvang lager also hit the spot. Overall this is a solid option for lunch if you are in Solvang.

(Dined 07/23/25 WE @ 11:30am): It's been a long time since I last had some brew at this Solvang company! I was on an overnight business/staycation getaway when I excitedly made it back to Solvang Brewing Co. after over ten years. I loved the Danish town of Solvang and all of its eateries, shops, tasting rooms, and general laid-back vibe. Opened in 2010, Solvang Brewing Co. was the first brewery to open in Solvang proper, but you never found their beer outside the immediate region. So, it was a return treat to imbibe for a while as I took it all in. Would my reacquaintance with this brewing company bring me back to Solvang more often!? PURCHASE Solvang Brewing Co. Shortly, the male manager warmly greeted me, I grabbed menus, and picked a tall barrel table on their front outdoor patio. My female server immediately took my order, and everything came out quickly enough. The rest of my time was spent leisurely soaking in the beautiful day as I was checked on from time-to-time. There was one snafu where my dining spot was incorrectly cleared away and taken over by new patrons. I found another spot inside and was given a new basket of onion rings. Everything was chill! PARKING (FREE) I found a spot on a nearby side street. Otherwise, there were plenty of parking lots and street parking in the surrounding area - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A large place with two sizable sections each with a long bar plus an inviting front outdoor umbrellaed patio perfect for people-watching, and a ton of seating everywhere. Inside, they also had a merchandise corner, a cooler for takeaway drinks, and it definitely was perfect for watching games with your friends. Plenty of natural lighting entered through the many large windows while electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were several TVs inside at both bars while music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=hCQ97Oh2gZBTSJzVRcfWbg ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL It was an awesome return to Solvang Brewing Co., and I was glad to see they have expanded and are doing well! They had a really good selection of their own beers and guest beers on tap, local wines (non-alcoholic drinks also were available), the food selection was varied enough, and the outdoor patio allowed for pets. From brisk brews, yummy food, and easy service, it was a wonderful time. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $105.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... In fact, I professionally moonlight as Historian specializing in medieval English history! This means that I am a sucker for anything reminding of the time period; making the Santa Barbara-adjacent Danish city of Solvang right up my alley with its medieval storybook streets/architecture. Among the many spots in Solvang that make my heart go pitter-patter is The Good Life: a cellar wine/ale/tavern- bar. Grab your favorite wench and come along to grab a pint... Stroll down Mission Drive in the famous Danish city of Solvang and you will be delighted to venture upon The Good Life that appears to pop out of a medieval history book with exposed wooden beans, plaster exterior walls and an entrance that resides at basement level (they don't call it a cellar bar for nothing!). Owned by a husband-wife team with extensive hospitality and restaurant experience under their belts in 2012; the charm of The Good Life is instantaneous and perfect for a gal like me obsessed with this sort of thing. Prepare to be instantly transported into the 15th century! Once you cross the threshold of The Good Life, the Shakesperean feel continues but is also modernized with a glowing fireplace, plush arm chairs and high bar tables (plus bar seating) and floor to ceiling wine racks. The Good Life is a perfect ratio of Solvang tradition with hints of romance making it ideal for a casual beverage, tourist pop-in or memorable date night drink. The latter is exactly how my boyfriend and I happened to come across The Good Life as we were visiting Solvang from Los Angeles for the city's Christmas-time Julefest. We had just spent the evening making holiday memories among the city's Christmas trees, twinkling lights and sugary delights. Post Danish-dinner, we decided to wrap up our forever-Solvang memory with a drink at The Good Life. We were immediately greeted by the male manning The Good Life without any attitude or distaste towards us for coming in as he was preparing to close for the evening. If he was upset with us in any way - he certainly didn't show it! The Good Life features an amazing menu of local and international wines, beers, ales, meads, ciders, and ports that make The Good Life feel fancy-schmancy and artisan; but also, neighborhood friendly for your favorite hipster or friend next door. My boyfriend and I shared a cider (I wish I remembered the specific one but alas my memory evades me) while enjoying the atmosphere of warmth at The Good Life. Other customers sat in the plush chairs with notepads and tarot cards, an older couple arrived to cap off the evening and I enjoyed the view of my boyfriend in a medieval-Danish inspired cellar bar. The Good Life is standout at accommodating to all customers and making sure no one feels out of place. A bountiful tip as important as the bosom of a medieval bar wench: the bathroom at The Good Life is labeled as 'Office'. Don't worry, you won't walk in on someone preparing accounting books and the only business happening behind this door involves you and your private matters. The Good Life is delightful and unique but doesn't just stop there: it also differentiates itself with a truly impressive alcohol selection that allows you to be introduced to local, national, Danish and international bevies you have surely not tried prior. The Good Life is recommended for a drink on your next trip to the tourist-friendly city of Solvang. Even if you aren't pretending to be in medieval times...

The menu is varied, and I had planned for what I wanted, but when the server/bartender/boss offered the daily special as an option, I quickly jumped at the chance. The special was a queso dip with house-made chips, and I had to try it! Sadly, I also ordered my usual, the Cobb salad. Sadly, because after the "appetizer" arrived, I quickly realized the full consequences of the saying "your eyes are bigger than your stomach!" The dip and chips were plentiful in both, and for me would have made a great meal on their own. But I was committed and managed to finish the salad. On my previous visit, I had the mac 'n cheese and the Cobb salad, along with a Guinness dark! That was sooo tasty as well! The food at this visit was great, and the service was as well. Sam, who is the owner, bartender, server, and jack-of-all-trades, is always friendly, professional, and efficient, no matter how busy it is, and this visit was the only one outside the kitchen. If you're in the area, give them a try! And leave room for dessert - I have yet to do that, but you can learn from my mistakes!

Celebrating our nation's 250th birthday in beautiful Solvang!…read more We ate at Craft House four times during our visit--and for good reason! It is, in our opinion, the best restaurant in Solvang. Every meal was exceptional, and the service was consistently outstanding. From the moment we walked in, Daniel welcomed us with a warm smile that made us feel right at home. At our first breakfast, Taylor provided friendly, attentive service that set the tone for the rest of our visits. That evening, we enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer, beet & burrata salad, short rib grilled cheese and black tie burger. Every dish was absolutely delicious. On our second breakfast visit, Sandra took wonderful care of us. She is such an asset to Craft House--knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely welcoming. Sophia, who brought out our food several times, always greeted us with the biggest smile. You can tell she truly loves what she does. Lorenzo and Nora were also fantastic servers who helped make every visit memorable. Over four visits, we sampled several different entrées and breakfasts. The avocado toast and chorizo quesadilla were definite standouts, and every meal exceeded our expectations. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Craft House team for your incredible hospitality, exceptional service, and outstanding food. We can't wait to return!

The novelty of spinning records wore off fast, and what could've been a cool, defining feature for…read morethe place ended up feeling more like a missed opportunity. Kelly seemed more focused on catering to a small group of guys in cowboy hats than maintaining the vibe that actually makes this spot stand out. Instead of reading the room, she and her May 1st bartender colleague locked into a single stream of country music that clearly wasn't resonating with most of the crowd. That's really the frustrating part, it wasn't just a music choice, it was the complete lack of awareness or willingness to adjust. People weren't being heard, requests were ignored, and the whole "records" concept felt pointless when it was treated so rigidly. If you're going to lean into vinyl as part of the experience, it should feel curated, responsive, and a little bit special, not like someone just putting on their personal playlist and tuning everyone else out. The drinks were genuinely great, which makes the situation even more disappointing. The potential is clearly there, but the execution on the atmosphere just didn't match. If the records are going to stay, they should actually be used to enhance the environment, not limit it. Otherwise, it might be better to ditch the gimmick entirely rather than let it drag down what could be an otherwise standout spot.
