Food arrived less than 10 minutes after ordering. It was beautifully presented. What I didn't enjoy was the dousing of black pepper on the pad see ew and heavenly beef, the unnecessary sweetness added to each dish, and the overly fried toughness of the heavenly beef. Delicious & very fresh. A wide range of items on the menu, from Thai to American fare. I particularly enjoyed the portobello mushroom fries, Pad Thai, the 'steak' quesadilla and the pumpkin & eggplant delight. Presentation oF the food was nice too. Service was friendly & attentive. They have many gluten free (GF) options on the menu. We've all heard the phrase, "Don't knock it till you try it" and this has never applied to me more than when I tried out Something Vegan. I was invited to lunch by two of the other local Leaders and wasn't too thrilled when I heard we were trying a vegan restaurant. Yes, that was extremely closed minded of myself at first, but let me tell you I did a complete 180 when I tried out the food. We started off by trying the vegan drumsticks. These faux chicken legs were DELICIOUS! Served with a spicy sweet and sour. These little guys were flavorful and had the consistency of real meat. On to our main courses of chicken drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, and Beijing beef. All were great, but the beef did have a bit of a dry chew. Honestly though I take this as a lesson learned to not judge a book by its cover or in this restaurants case by its name. Am I going to become a regular?? But Something Vegan has the most delicious Beyond Burger I have ever had, served on a gluten-free bun and so YUMMY. Plus, they make fantastic French fries. They have lots of other wonderful items (soups, noodles, rice dishes) and I have tried some of them, but I always return to that burger. Hands down this is one of the most delicious vegan places in the area. However, although is vegan is not as healthy as they claim to be. Any restaurant that cooks their dishes with vegetable oil (Rice Bran Oil/soybean oil) doesn't really care about their client's health and the side effects these toxic and unnatural oils do to the body.
