Sonny's is a normal stop for me when in Florida. What I have discovered is that the quality and service varies greatly at each one. This one is in Palm Coast, FL. Worst one so far that I have been to. At 1:15 PM I attempted to order a Whole Hog sandwich. 5 minutes later my waiter informed me that they were out of all the ingredients to make the sandwich except for the bread. They were out of pulled pork, sliced pork, and brisket. LOL, a BBQ restaurant out of BBQ. It's like going to McDonalds and them being out of hamburgers. read more

Decided to grab a quick lunch while out and was VERY disappointed with their service. You cannot tell if they're even open from outside as 3 other cars pulled up slowly to try and read their tiny signs and pull the door open to see. Was not greeted upon entering and there must have been 5 employees just standing there. I ordered a simple pulled pork tater tots and and iced tea. The food came out rather quickly and was dropped at my table as the waitress left. After she walked away I realized that there was no pulled pork. I literally waited more than 6 minutes to flag someone down to ask about it. They did bring it out, and then I had to ask for BBQ sauce and extra napkins .... should be an easy question for a BBQ restaurant you would think. I understand that things are getting back to a new normal, but you would think any place would be bending over backwards to provide even a decent service, but this was terrible. It's awesome how much food and drink they give you. The all-you-can-eat ribs and chicken is totally affordable and you can keep getting different sides each round. I love the sweet bbq sauce. It does make me feel a little crappy afterwards though. After speaking to the manger and learning that the ear pod was found, I asked if the manager would mail it to our home address and he was happy to do so. The pulled pork was mouthwatering! My wife's mouth was watering just before she spewed all over the ground just off of 95. Cutting our trip short we stopped at the Wyndham in jupiter, fl which is very lovely! Its now 6:50 am and i have woken up every hour to the sound of her horking. Our waitress, while nice, obviously hated her job and the guy "cleaning" the bathroom seemed very pissed that he had to do it. Serve people good food and they wont shit everywhere. I joked during dinner that all of the gas stations within a 30 mile radius of the restaurant hated Sonny's because all of the people with explosive diarrhea after eating there. I would not eat there. If you want good BBQ. I went there because their website said tender fall off the bone Baby Back Ribs.... Well I have have jerky that was more tender.. Fall off the bone...NO WAY. I even sent a kind email telling Corp about my experience. Was very polite about it and even gave them the check # and it showed a 20% tip to the waitress. Afterall, she cannot help what comes out of the kitchen. Corporate sent me a $5.00 off coupon IF i spend $25.00 NO WAY will i even go in for a free glass of water at this point. Same night my daughter and her boyfriend went to the other place in town off of 100 and they had fall off the bone tender ribs... Did I ever make a mistake. read more

Stale,soggy french fries,cold garlic bread and meat sliced so thin you can read a book through it. My waitress left and almost never came back to take our order. I won't be back. We ordered the rib sampler platter so we could try a variety of ribs and were overall disappointed. The dry rub ribs were just that -- very dry and tough. The standard style tasted great, but were extremely sparse. The cornbread was dry and stale and the slaw was overly drenched in dressing. Two thumbs down. read more

Ever leave a BBQ joint hungry? Me either...until tonight. Ordered the pulled chicken and held off on the paltry looking salad bar add-on. Maybe that's where I went wrong. If I'd preloaded on Bibb lettuce and ranch dressing maybe I'd have been alright. That said my chicken arrived and while tasty and moist enough, I'd estimate there was about 4 oz of meat or about 1 cup of shredded cooked. I knew I was in trouble when one of the sides was taking up about 60% of the plate in its own side dish container. It's almost as if they were trying to hide how little was there by stacking plates. I'm not Egyptian but I know a plate pyramid when I see it. Sauces were pretty good but overall the experience was "Meh". read more

The waitress wasn't very attentive, I had to wait and ask for more salad plates and drinks. Their was also a coupon for $3 off with min of $15. Anyhow, our bill was $26. When I showed my waitress my coupon she said I couldn't use it because my wife ordered the wings and ribs. I found it odd that they would suck you in with these combos and when you order the entree they use it as an excuse to not honor the coupon that was underneath the ad. read more
