It was first time here and didn't expect a smaller shop to have so many people on a weekday but seems like there's a lot of regulars! I found Sophie's Donuts and did a preorder for Saturday 8/22, when i arrived she did not show me the letters, but when i saw her get the small box to place them inside my heart SANK! She taped them and handed them to me. I arrived at the party and i could not be more embarrassed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You be the judge on the video. THIS IS NOT WORTH $25!!!!!! Hands down the best donuts ever. I've tried so many different spots but honestly these are the best. Always warm and fresh and soft. The taste of the glazed ones are possibly what sets them apart from everyone else. You also have to try the half croissant breakfast sandwich, I prefer sausage over bacon, but both are so good to go along with your morning coffee. Ok so this was my first time and wow I usually am not a fan of donuts but these are AMAZING!! I purchased on Postmates and they threw in an extra donut plus donut holes Obviously within seconds I sampled every donut in the box and not one disappointed me. Most notable were the crumb cinnamon roll which blew my mind with its flavor and crunchy texture which I LOVE. The red velvet and blueberry cake donut, suuuuper dense which I love and expect from a cake donut. The basic cake donut with white glaze and rainbow sprinkles, which is popular anywhere is amazing here. Also got some chocolate donuts for the bf who loved them and is usually not a fan of sweets. Absolutely love this little spot. Been coming here with my siblings & friends for years and it has never disappointed. Sophe herself is wonderful and I love showing up and supporting this business. Yes, the donuts are top notch, but what I usually get here is their breakfast croissant. They offer a few options: ham and cheese, ham egg and cheese, & ham jalapeño and cheese. (there may or may not be a fourth one i'm forgetting). All of them are SO good. I opt for the ham, jalapeño & cheese every time because I like the kick and briny flavor of the pickled jalapeños. They cut through the cheesiness & richness of the croissant fabulously. According to my sister, they also have a pretty tasty bagel sandwich. We both love bagels and are always on the hunt for good ones in the area, so I trust her judgment. Aside from that, the food is affordable, FRESH and very filling. The ham & cheese croissants are big, and make for a great on the go meal (along with all the other items they offer). I was in the neighborhood where I spent my adolescent days, and noticed there was still a donut shop here and decided to stop by. There was a sweet lady behind the counter who helped us pick out the donuts for our dozen, and the pricing was really good. We had an assortment of maple bars, chocolate frosted donuts, glazed twists, and some apple cinnamon choices. They were all delicious and fluffy. I was afraid they were going to taste like they've been sitting out all day since it was around 3PM, but I'm glad that wasn't the case. In a time where everyone goes to Krispy Kreme or the other larger chains, I'm glad there are still some mom and pop shops that deliver tasty donuts at an excellent price. I've had my fair share of donuts growing up and let me tell you, NOTHING compares to Sophe's Donuts!!! The dough is so soft and moist it's almost like you're biting into a cloud of flavor. Not to mention the glazes on each donut. My all time favorite is the maple bar. The glaze is thick, flavorful, and literally melts into your mouth as you're chewing it. TLDR: Something is going on here, Sophie might need to make a choice. Ageing shop with sub par selection... not at all like the Yelp rating. The lady who greeted me was very nice but also talking to someone on her ear piece the entire time she helped me. She won points because she let me bring my bicycle inside when I asked if she knew where I could park it [(no bike parking near the shop) Not even a good pole]. Once inside it was hot. I mean like turn a fan on, it's cooler outside hot. I got a large caramel frap and a plain donut for $5.50 (oddly she charged me for $3.50 then just manually input $5.50). The wifi if free and considered very fast (M-lab). There is no public restroom. The dining area in general is clean but you can see how time is catching up to it. Dust in places, spatter stains, grease stains, etc. The donut was okay but nothing to write home about and the frap was not very good. They had 7 empty trays out of 18 total, so selection was less than optimal. The frap was not very good. It had a strong artificial sweetener taste, and was too sweet for my liking. IMO: It seems like they have landed on hard times. The recent price increases, odd difference of price claimed/charged, and lack of air conditioning are taddle-tails to me. read more

Nice place, typical donut and coffee place but they do offer boba tea as well. They accept debit cards but there is a $.50 charge which is not bad considering other places have a dollar limit in order to use your card. Donuts are good, not a huge selection but overall decent. I don't drink coffee much so I got a honey jasmine green tea which was absolutely delicious in my opinion. I got two donuts and the tea so with the extra 50 cent charge my total was $6. Unlike some donuts that have gobs and gobs of sugary stuff, theirs is light, if there is such a thing about donuts. My usual is the chocolate bar. Two of those, split it down the middle, apply some Redi-whip, a hot cup of coffee, and I'm good for awhile. Family-owned businesses are the way to go. The people at Sophe's work so hard, but they are so kind and always pleasant every time, no matter what time of day you get there.
