We have been coming here for a few years now and have always thought it was one of the best gyro places in the area. HOWEVER, they have changed their menu and the meat they use for gyros. I usually love this place! I couldn't find any contact info on their website, so I am leaving this here so they hopefully see it. I have ordered food from here many times and have always been happy. Went for dinner this evening and they said we would have to wait 10 minutes for gyro's which I didn't mind since I had been wanting one this week. When we got them, they were not at all the way they should have been. The meat was minced and burnt like they took the leftovers and put them on the gyro just to make them. I should have been suspicious since they put a note on the door while we were waiting that they were out of lamb. They could have just told us that instead of passing off the leftovers as a gyro. It was my friend's first time and he didn't even eat the sandwich. He left it there. On a side note, their air conditioning is broke as well, so maybe consider take out if you go. First, the woman standing behind the cash register taking our order got huffy when she didn't get a tip- for standing behind the register. Second, I ask if there's anything spicy in what I ordered. I found out about this location by scrolling through Yelp while visiting family in Lake St. Louis and am so glad I did! We were very excited to go try this location and have something similar to what we had while traveling in Europe. We visited in a large group about an hour to closing, and hardly had to wait. We are huge gyro fans but struggle to find that perfect one. This was pretty good. We got the classic with sauce and tomatoes on mine. There were about 3 tiny tomatoes therefore they didn't add or take away from the taste. The sauce was Perfect. We did purchase extra sauce cause you can never have too much. The xtra sauce cost .50.
