I've always walked past the Souper but never got an actual chance to check it out. As someone who lives downtown, I unfortunately can't experience most restaurants because a lot of them are only M-F and close at 5... which means that by the time I get off of work, they're closed. Lucky for me, Monday and Friday are my WFH days so I finally made it my business to get to the Souper Market. I was VERY IMPRESSED. I had the Creamy Mushrooms (I think) soup and a Grilled Cheese and was blown away. It was hearty, delicious, and perfect for the cold weather. The staff was very kind and actually helped me decide on what I wanted. They run a promo that after a certain about of visits (tracked through a punch card), you'll get a free bowl of soup.. which I think is pretty cool. I hope that one day the hours and days of operation are expanded, so that downtown residences can visit more often but I'm a fan and will likely be back.

Salad was delicious. The apples were my favorite. I was hungry about 2 hours later. Grilled salmon or chicken would be lovely on here.

Excellent salads for lunch across from the Justice Center. I have enjoyed the big salads and the soups are nice.

I can see why no one else was in the restaurant when we were even though it was dinner time on a Friday. The lady taking our order answered her freaking phone in the middle of my order so I just had to stand there and wait. Wtf? The kitchen and prep area was messy and food scraps were everywhere. The soups all had a film on them too. I got the half turkey bacon club and a tiny cup of chili in the you pick two "deal." (LOL this ain't no deal!). The soup was way too hot. They need to turn down the burners. The sandwich was okay - probably one of the best options on their menu. The bread was quite good. However, they also didn't add mustard to my sandwich like I had asked for. There definitely was a language barrier, but I mean, come on. At least try to be nice to me! The price for what we got was outstandingly bad. It was even worse than Panera! I guess I would rate this Zeats location a 3.5 for food and 1.5 for service. On the bright side, I still had room in my stomach to get popcorn at the theater afterwards...

I've had the rice noodles, the paper wrapped fish, and the drinks. The rice noodles have been decent both times--soup is flavorful and there is a good portion of noodles. The shrimp soup dumplings were good--would order again. What stood out more was the paper wrapped fish--I never had anything like it before and was surprised by the chosen combination of ingredients--french fries, potato noodles, chiba tofu (stringy noodle shaped), but it was good. I chose the tomato flavor, which was good--I would definitely be interested in trying the other flavors as well. Also chose add-on sides with lotus root and cauliflower (both were good but highly recommend the cauliflower since it had a roasted taste to it that added more to the dish). It was such a large portion and came with rice, that we definitely had to bring back leftovers. The drinks are consistently good. So far, I've had the tofu pudding milk tea (G28) and the oatmeal taro milk tea (G40, oatmeal similar to overnight oats texture, and taro tastes fresh), and I would definitely get both again. The environment/seating area is spacious and comfortable--perfect for socializing with friends and/or bringing your family Staff checked in frequently (made sure we were attended to and confirmed after we placed the orders via phone) Parking available as free parking on both sides (few spots for cars on E 30th ST side, more on side closer to E 31st street). Overall consistently good food with a good ambience---I'll definitely be back.

Everytime I visit my mom, we have to get pho, take out or eat in, doesn't matter. The menu is consistently delicious, curated with family recipes that make Superior Pho stand out amongst the other places in town. Sure it's small, literally off the parking lot (Danford Court) to be exact, but it's well loved and it shows in the eclectic mix of diners and well loved staff. The menu is also simple, but why add too many things that take away from the basics, big bowls of rare meats that cook in broth crafted for hours, you literally just need fresh basil lime and shoots with extra hot sauce to make one's mouth happy. I'm always a sucker for a V1 too, fresh ingredients make all the difference, the vermicelli is delicious as our their tofu rice rolls. On the way out, order a tea, no need to go somewhere else, it's hot and full bodied. Great bang for your buck, centrally located right off the freeway if you panic about coming into the neighborhood and the staff/owners are the best.

There was an abundant amount of toppings including perfectly crispy and spiced tofu, bok choy, broccoli, and corn! The service was amazing. I sat outside as they close the inside to diners about an hour before close and the patio is gorgeous and very clean. The staff brought my bowl out very quickly and were very kind when I asked for a lid after (even though this feels like an annoying ask after you order). I payed $18 for this bowl and got two meals out of it as someone that typically gets 2 meals out of most entrees. It felt like a lot of food for me and was extremely yummy! Only downside is the entrees are typically between $17-20 which is a lot of money for ramen, especially take out without tip. This is the primary reason for me giving it 4 stars, if it was priced around 14/15 I would be here all the time! Milk and non vegan items are very clearly labeled in the drinks and the food. Really good vegan options for ramen and bowls. I tried a bowl my friend got here who is vegetarian and has many allergies and she really enjoys this place as well. Very customizable with entrees. I would highly recommend this to vegans and vegetarians!

For food, the beef pho was exactly what you want--rich, hearty, and super comforting. It came with a generous side of fresh condiments so you can customize each bite. We also tried the vermicelli with shrimp and pork, which was just as impressive. It was loaded with fresh veggies like cucumber, carrots, lettuce, and bean sprouts, plus crunchy peanuts and an incredibly flavorful fish sauce that tied everything together. Service was pretty fast even on a busy night, which we really appreciated. They also offer to-go cups for drinks--a small but thoughtful touch. Not only do you get soup, but you get the most delicious fresh bread and oyster, crackers, and butter if you want.
