We hit this place on a weeknight for take out. The order on the phone was quick and accurate. We got coconut shrimp, stir fried chicken and eggplant and fresh rolls. 2 out of 3 ain't bad! The stirfry was totally overcooked. Soggy eggplant and veggies and some grisly chicken bites. The quantity was good but the flavor was bland. No spice at all and it was black bean sauce. They didn't ask me about heat either. It was edible but just average. Now I will take a little blame, ordering Chinese food at a clearly Vietnamese restaurant. But hey, if it is on your menu, you should do it better. I'm giving three stars because the other items were delish and at 7pm on a weekday, THE PLACE WAS PACKED. My boyfriend and I tried Souper Pho for the first time and it was great! I'm sick right now so a bowl of pho is exactly what I needed. The food tasted good. I got brisket pho and my boyfriend got chicken pho. He is a picky eater, so when he likes something you know we will return. This place has good savory broth, whereas the previous restaurant that was here had strangely sweet broth. The man who took our order and waited on us throughout dinner was very friendly and attentive. I think he was the owner. He refilled my boyfriend's soda right away (other places you have to ask) and told us it was free. This is easily my favorite restaurant. Been eating here every once in a while since 2019. I absolutely love the fried rice (best I've ever had), pho, gluten free general tso's chicken, and chow foon. The fried rice is not too salty like most other places make it, but it is packed with flavor! It is all delicious, and the owners and employees are really nice. The Pho was delicious and piping hot when I came to pick it up. I appreciate that the broth isn't too sweet, but there was hoisin on the side for this who like it sweeter. All the fixings were packed neatly inside and I like that they asked if I wanted utensils instead of just packing them with the takeout. read more

Unfortunately I was hoping to have a good experience. But I have to say that the food was very poor quality. The meat looked like something you would feed a dog and the broth in my Pho was almost clear and had very little flavor. Not the mention the quality of the styrofoam to go containers were very cheap and started to leak due to their poor quality. I can only imagine what kind of chemicals leaked into my food, I tossed the rest away. Got takeout souper pho. Definitely one of the best broths I've ever had. I could take or leave the tripe and brisket, but the meatball and steak were awesome. Plenty of basil to add to it, loved that. Salad rolls are large and fresh. Only gripe is they add all the meats to the broth for take out. I like my rare beef fairly rare--I prefer to add it to the broth. I'll request it separate next time...at least they don't put it on the side mixed with the veggies like some other places do! The restaurant took our phone order and told us two family order that the wait would be 45 minutes. We waited 45 before going in for order. At 59 minutes past order time the staff at counter told us they did not know about our order. We asked again is our order put in or not after ordering our order details the staff told us to wait, After sitting for a few moments, we tried to go up and pay for our order to finish it and cater to leave. A customer in the restaurant starting mocking us that they are busy just b patient. Another joined in " yeah jeez give them some time , so dumb "or something like that in front of their many children 3 or more children present. My company paid for our order I refused to take Order. Leaving the bag of boxes on a table . The Owner came out to Apologize in parking lot after I left my paid order inside. As I still refuse the food order, even though we did pay. I said maybe the rude customer inside the restaurant standing watching holding the door open as we exit in the parking lot. Needs the food more as they seem very involved in mocking us for asking about our order , they seem more concern about our food. We just recently moved to University Place and were looking for the best Pho in the area. We found it at Souper Pho! It is so good we've eaten there twice in 10 days and we've never eaten at the same place that often, ever. My husband is a seafood Pho expert and he thinks this is the best. I'm not a fan of Pho so I've had two Thai chicken dishes. Both were excellent. Service is friendly and quick and everything was hot. The owners, Jade and Tony, do the cooking and serving. This is going to be our go-to place for Pho and Thai/Vietnamese food. I almost forgot to mention that the place is very clean, also. Jade showed us the really cute, efficient Vietnamese broom she uses and recommeded that we get one for our new place! read more

I love this place! We have only had take-out (Covid) but it is consistently fresh and so delicious! My husband loves their General Tso's chicken. I was dropped off some food from souper pho that I didn't order on accident. I called them, I called grub hub, and I asked all my neighbors. No one could tell me who's food it was- so the guy that worked here told me to keep it and enjoy it. I had the general tao chicken, it was delicious. This place is close to me, and because this little food gift ended up at my house today I can gladly say that while I'm not much of a pho fan- I'll definitely be coming back soon to try some more of this great food. read more

My favorite restaurant in Westgate/North Tacoma for pho, some Thai dishes and Vietnamese dishes. The owners are very friendly and always remember my name when I order. The biggest bonus is that most menu items are gluten free (refer to the menu or ask for specifics), which is unheard of! I am able to order dishes that I would never be able to order anywhere else becuase they are GF here and I never get sick from it. Fantastic. I had heard great things from some neighbors that also live in the North End. This place definitely didn't disappoint me. I took my Mom for dinner and everything was fantastic. We had just gone shopping at Safeway across the parking lot and were a bit concerned about how long it would take to get home. A few tables were already dining when we walked in. There was a warm welcome and we decided dine in. I assume it was the owners that were cooking and serving. They were awesome! The answered our questions about the menu and from the time we ordered to the time we were on our way home was less than 45 minutes. The food was amazing. We had the shrimp chow mein and sweet-and-sour chicken after starting with chicken eggrolls as an appetizer. I've been waiting for a place as friendly, fast, and delicious as they are. Give them a shot and I promise you won't be disappointed. I have no complaints with his place. I've had the Mongolian beef as my go-to but recently I've switched over to the red curry. They are kind and the customer service was good. They are located kitty corner from pet pros next door to Subway. I feel like they've been here maybe a year? I definitely like their Thai better than their Chinese. My husband went there once with me and he doesn't like them but he doesn't have a wonderful palette like I do so what does he know anyway about delicious food? Here's the good news; they have ALL Asian cuisine. They have Thai food, Japanese food, Vietnamese, Chinese food, and Indian food.
