First, staff is always pleasant and attentive. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. It was good, BUT: The chicken was not grilled! It was precooked chicken chunks. This may not be a big thing for some, but I believe in truth in advertising. I stopped by here after a long day of work to pick up a couple of sandwiches for dinner. I was pretty exhausted and a little slow to order, but Baljit K., who assisted me, was incredibly patient and very kind. The service was excellent, including from the other lady who made our sandwiches. We ordered the BLT and the #14 turkey pesto, and both were really good. The portions were definitely filling, and we were very satisfied with our meal. I was also offered chili, which was very sweet of them. I placed my order online and when I arrived it was all ready to go. I ordered the 8" All American Crunch sandwich, it was absolutely delicious. However before digging in to it I thought it looked a bit short so I pulled out a ruler at my desk when I got back to the office. The sandwich itself measured about 6 1/2" (with wrapper 7") a bit short of the 8" sandwich that I paid for. I really don't like feeling slighted, especially when upsizing and paying more. The order totalled just over $20 with a tip. I don't mind paying as long as I am getting what I pay for. I will more than likely return but am hoping that it will be a better visit. read more

My husband and I lead very hectic lives. So on Fridays we take time to have lunch together. Our order is usually the same: 2 All American crunch sandwiches. One with turkey and the other as is. And we typically see the same employee when we order. All of the employees are very kind and respectful. Sergey is amazing! He always remembers our order and makes polite conversation. Good fresh tasting sourdough bread This is a casual sandwich spot offering fresh tasting bread... I love their sandwiches. They have two locations in Roseville in which this newer store is also located at a Nugget Shopping Center, this one on Blue Oaks. The inside is smaller than the original store on Pleasant Grove since the location isn't in a commercial area rather close to a residential community. This was my first visit at this location. I had a coupon for a BOGO deal and ordered my favorite, the Garlic Pesto Turkey (#14) and got the largest 8" size. The hubby and I split the sammie. The ingredients were fresh and the thinly sliced turkey breast are of good quality with flavorful pesto garlic aioli spread. The second sandwich was the Chicken Salad (#12). My daughter loves this and she will have no other. LoL! I don't blame her... can't go wrong with quality chicken breast, celery, cranberries, & pecans... oh, and she wanted a slice of cheese with it too. What makes this sandwich spot stand out is the bread. The bread has flavor, crunch, and inner softness. Their sandwiches are decent and service has gotten better over time. The inside seating is well spaced but everything is on the rigid side. Not very comfortable. It's also very dark inside with contrasting lighting. The main reason for three stars is the hired staff. They are mostly teenagers who have little regard for what they do. I've gone in there about an hour or more before closing and all I could smell was cleaning product. I could also tell that everything was put away and they were only taking things out as they need them. The owner should do something about that. Two very good sandwiches from start to finish. The sourdough baguettes were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We tried the #4 Turkey & Dry Salami and the #6 Pastrami & Turkey - both 8-inch sandwiches were $12.49 (but we luckily had a BOGO coupon). Really good flavor on both with crisp lettuce, pretty decent tomatoes and a wide range of cheese selections. I like they have Dijon mustard in addition to regular yellow. The pastrami was lean also. There could have been at least one more slice of meat for the price. 4-inch sandwiches clock in at $8.99 and the 6-inchers are $10.99. I like that you get a crisp, dill pickle spear on the side. On this Tuesday morning, I had the pleasure to visit the newest member of the "Sourdough" chain, "Roseville #2," located in the Campus Oaks shopping center, in Roseville, CA. Sourdough Bread Company - a.k.a. "Roseville #2" - is located in the fairly new Campus Oaks shopping center in west Roseville, CA. There are a total of four restaurants in the small chain, all located in the greater Sacramento area, and there are two stores that will soon be opening in Redding, 160 miles to the north. As you enter the restaurant, you'll notice the order counter and the overhead menu, along with the "Disneyland style" markers that channel you into where you place and pick up your order. At the counter there is case with large, freshly baked cookies, along with bags of snacks, and a basked of freshly-baked sourdough loaves for sale. Today is five days before Christmas, and the restaurant is decorated for the holiday, including a Christmas tree. The dining room is open and quite spacious, with the furniture being tables for four. The word SOURDOUGH is on the faux brick wall and lighted up to set the mood. At the rear of the restaurant, there are black and white photos of bakers and chefs from "back in the day," with the emphasis on baking sourdough bread. The menu is placed at the "head or the line," which is where you place your order. The complete menu is listed at the counter, and is also posted on the restaurant's website, and there are small paper versions that you can take home with you, when you decide to do takeout on a future date. From the "top" of the menu, I went with a "Roast Beef" sandwich, along with a cup of "New England Clam Chowder," and a couple slices of sourdough bread, freshly baked in the restaurant's kitchen. The sandwich began with a small roll of some of the best sourdough bread on the planet, freshly baked in the restaurant's kitchen. The crust was golden brown and crunchy, and the inside was perfectly baked, moist, tender, and offered the perfect mix of sweet and sour that premium sourdough bread is noted for. My sandwich included an ample portion - probably around three ounces - of juicy, tender, thinly-sliced roast beef, cooked to perfection. You "bite" into this amazing sandwich begins with the "crunch" from the crust of the freshly baked sourdough bread, and the taste of the meat and "everything" kicks in to make for a truly amazing sandwich. Nothing stood out except for the meat and the bread, but it all blended together to form a taste sensation. The meat-to-bread ratio was spot-on, and the "everything" enhanced the sandwich. This was a truly delicious sandwich! As a side, I went with a cup of clam chowder. A "cup" of soup is only eight ounces, but it made a perfect side to my "Roast Beef Sandwich." The soup was rich, creamy and was just the right consistency. There were lots of pieces of diced clam and potato in the soup, which made for a delicious, hearty side dish. Great clam chowder! Come for the delicious sandwiches, but stay for the fresh, crunchy, sourdough bread, which is baked daily in their kitchen. The sandwiches are delicious, but the bread is simply "to die for." I enjoyed "5-star" dining, delicious soup and sandwich, and the staff was super friendly. I highly recommend Sourdough Bread Company, located in west Roseville. read more

First visit, on a Sunday around noon. Pros: - Wife liked her breakfast sandwich. Cons: - My chicken Caesar salad was mediocre. It had just a few measly bits of cubed/diced chicken, hardly any Parmesan cheese, and the croutons were stale and chewy, not crunchy. Also could have used more dressing (the dressing was not bad). - Wife did not like her mac and cheese side. It looked gloppy and firm, not creamy at all. She said boxed Kraft mac and cheese is better. - Service was borderline creepy. Young kid at the counter who took our order never smiled once, and mumbled. He seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but at work. Not a good impression to customers. Verdict: - Two stars for the breakfast sandwich. However, I do not plan on returning. I recently visited this place twice. First time, we dined in. We had to wait over 30 minutes for our sandwiches to be ready, but it was worth it. Sandwich was very good. So we decided to give another try. The waiting time was very long again (over 30 minutes), although there were not so many customers there. This time we did take out and found hair in one of the sandwiches! I didn't feel like driving back and having them make another one, so I just tossed the sandwich. Sourdough Bread Company #2 in the new Blue Oaks Nugget Shopping Center is a go-to for my wife and I when I need a break from kitchen duty. I take advantage of the 2-for-1 coupon that regularly comes in the mail with the coupon book mailers that we receive via USPS. FYI, Using my 2-for-1 coupon, I just bought two 8" sandwiches and paid $19.00 which included a 20% tip. You can't beat that. Go to Taco Bell and try to get two meals for two adults under $20 bucks. Good luck. Their sandwiches are much better than Subway on Blue Oaks and also superior/tastier than Jersey Mike's off of Washington. Their sourdough bread is super tasty (think Bay Area Sourdough) and they also sell the bread either baked or take home and bake, #BONUS. As opposed to other comments on this link, I've never been skimped on when it comes to the meat and cheese on the sandwiches. My Go-to is the Reuben and my wife's is the Cracked Pepper Turkey. The Staff are always courteous and they work hard to get your food delivered. They also have an app to order ahead if you so choose. Further, the shop is spotless, which I cannot say about Subway and Jersey Mikes. By the way, Subway refuses to honor discount coupons that are sent in the mail just like Sourdough. And I have never received a coupon from JM's. This is a can't miss and I hope others will take advantage of the 2 for 1 and try this sandwich shop. Sourdough Bread Company is a warm, busy experience. They cook their bread constantly so you always get very fresh sourdough bread for your sandwich. Their posted menu is a little on the short side but they may be able to make "secret" combinations of sandwiches. I would especially like to see a Roast Beef, Turkey with Avocado on their menu. I have had their Italian, Roast Beef and Turkey sandwiches which are all great. Their soups are excellent too. I especially liked the Broccoli and Cheese soup. read more

We asked for lite lettuce, pickles and pepperoncini's on the chicken sandwich and the basic French dip. The chicken sandwich literally had three small pieces of chicken, A LOT of lettuce, two pepperoncini's and NO pickles. This is in my opinion one of the best Sandwich locations in Roseville and top two in West Roseville! The Staff is all super kind and helpful and still learning so some of the people on here need to give them a break! The food is outstanding and I have been eating French Dips for 25+ years and they have one of the best ones I have ever had! The sauce that they put on it is phenomenal! The service is not super fast but people need to realize that this is a fairly new location and has new learning employees that are trying their best! Kudos to them and for dealing with all the people that expect to get these high quality sandwiches in less than 5 mins this isn't McDonald's people!
