    Benny Breakfast

We were greeted by a host and seated this place is very southern style hospitality where you would spend time with family and friends. I ordered the Benny with eggs and southern gravy and my husband ordered biscuits and gravy .. I didn't really like the breakfast I took one bite , my husband loved the extra gravy the waitress was very attentive and courteous asked and I told I was trying something new and I didn't like it she asked if I wanted anything else I said no I'm ok .. Another very nice lady came over and said we took it off your bill . She didn't have to do that . I was hit with southern hospitality again and you don't get that much anymore .. yes I would come back and try more items on the menu . Great service doesn't come from the head .It comes from the heart

An "old time diner" feel. First, the staff was wonderful. From the owner, Kimberly (who was expediting and directing the servers) to our outstanding waitress, Sheri, everyone was friendly and helpful. The whole staff kicked in for a really cute Happy Birthday celebration at a nearby table. Again, we were really impressed. The food was terrific and the portions are large. Sheryl's Veggie Omelette was really stuffed with vegetables and her portion of hash browns was quite large as well. I ordered the "Country Biscuit" specialty. It included three large scrambled eggs, two strips of bacon, one sausage patty and a large, fluffy biscuit covered with a rich, savory sausage gravy. (That was my favorite - the gravy was intense and delicious. Overall a great breakfast and we'll be back.

I'm not local and that's a good thing because I'd be 800lbs eating here daily! We stopped in with a group of 6 after an early morning dive at Blue Heron Bridge. Up since 4:30a and finally eating around 10:20a, I was hangry to say the least. We all were. The moment we stepped in, the welcoming warmth was felt and my hangriness devolved slightly to hungry. We were seated shortly after arriving and our server was just as pleasant as could be. Back to the 800lb comment, I wanted to eat everything on the menu though I decided on a southern Benny. Now I'm an eggs Benedict-aholic. I like to try them at any new place I visit for breakfast but this was their take on it and you HAVE to try it. This is THE place when you're hangry after a dive or just want good ol southern hospitality.

Southern Kitchen is a breakfast staple in Lake Park. Food and services are consistently outstanding.

Went here for a quick breakfast meeting. The vibe is definitely mom and pop shop - there's regulars and everyone knows each other. The menu is super affordable and the staff are all welcoming. Real southern hospitality lives here. Our breakfast came out super fast, hot and fresh. If you're looking for a quick & good breakfast option - come here! This place sits in a small business plaza so there is typically enough parking and also additional spots on the side of the restaurant near the grass area.

This was our first time at Southern Kitchen. Our waitress, Sheryl, was so friendly and helpful in reviewing the menu. The food was on par for a standard breakfast, but nothing crazy. Good prices and portion sizes.

All good! Service is above board, food is off chart, and ambiance really nails it. Go early, everyone loves it here.

Nothing special for breakfast. I had high expectations, based on their rating. The coffee & OJ were bad.

When we entered the non-descript building in what appeared to be in an industrial area, we were greeted warmly. Most patrons were seated at the counter but we chose a table. First off, the decaf coffee was delicious and served in a nice big mug. I loved that! Second, I ordered biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and hash browns. The sausage gravy was creamy, flavorful, and plentiful. The eggs were nice and tender and went really well with the biscuits, which were not too heavy and delicious. Out of this world good is the only way to describe the potatoes! I usually don't get potatoes with my breakfast or only eat a few bites but I ate every morsel of these. Tender, well-seasoned, absolutely perfect. The Hideout is a real gem and worth a visit when in WPB!

Even tho she was taking care of what looked like 'regulars', she immediately brought out our coffees and juice and took our orders. Got the Two Meat Breakfast with Sausage and the Country Breakfast, porch and eggs. The coffee was hot and fresh. And she even refilled the sugar dish after we used it the first time. The building reminds you of a warehouse. Kinda scary when u pull up, but believe me, it's worth opening the door and walking in. The restroom was decent, nothing fancy. But it had tissue, soap, paper towels and running water so we good. Would definitely return and send others.

The restaurant is small and parking is limited. Staff was very friendly, They serve breakfast here all day. My husband had one of their breakfast specials, while I had something from the lunch side of their menu. He got their "Georgia Breakfast". It had two biscuits with sausage and cheese topped with sausage gravy along with two over easy eggs and grits. He said the biscuits were wonderful -- nice and soft inside. We were surprised to learn they were not house made, but from a food service company, Cheney Brothers. I got their crispy chicken club sandwich. The all white meat chicken was breaded and fried. It was very good. Came with a few strips of bacon, a large slice of red tomato, and a lettuce leaf. The bacon could have been a tad more well done. And the bun -- called a Kaiser roll on the menu -- was more like a hamburger bun. I didn't eat the bread. Got potato salad as my side. It was eggy and slightly sweet from the pickle relish. Good, but not my favorite. I had to get a biscuit to go -- just to try one -- and ate it in the car with the provided butter as my "dessert". Glad we got to try this place. Definitely a good option for breakfast. Although their pot roast special of the day looked appealing, too .
