This was our only real disappointment in MB during our week there this spring. While Yelp reviews make it look like a real prize, the reality is less than that. The servers are rather poorly managed, ignoring anyone other than those in their section and you will learn what it is like to wait ten to fifteen minutes to be checked up on. The baked potato was fine, encrusted, but the whole experience of driving from MB to hunt for a parking place in a crowded strip mall made this the low point of an otherwise wonderful week. read more

This is one of our favorite places to eat in Myrtle Beach. The burgers are fresh and big and the quesadillas are loaded. The desserts are homemade and just the best! If it's crouded I order my dessert first to be sure my selection isn't sold out while I finish my meal. The mussels appetizer was very good. The Black and Bleu Salad was delicious as were the daily special Pork Chops. Dining room is small so we ate at the bar as all the tables were full. We stopped in during our weekly vacation to surfside based on previous yelp reviews. The restaurant is nondescript from the outside but don't let that fool you. I ordered the salad with grilled fish as a light alternative to the constant eating out on vacation. I was expecting a few small pieces of fish but was amazed by a huge piece of freshly grilled grouper on the salad and for only $10. Fish was honestly one of the best I've ever had, and can't be matched by the frozen deep fried varieties at what seems like every seafood restaurant in surfside. My wife ordered the coconut fish which was also delicious and came with a baked potatoe I couldnt stop reaching over to sample. Not sure what they put on it but try it! We went back a few days later for another meal. Owners are great and you you can tell they take pride in what they serve. The place is also full of locals which says a lot. Yum! My family and I just finished a meal, and boy, what a happy bunch we are. My mom and I had the seafood platter - crab cakes, shrimp, fish of the day (grouper), side of your choice (we had fries), and slaw or salad, and fresh green beans. Ok - that is a lot of good, and the portion for this dish was ample. And, other than a piece of fish I my husband got by using his best puppy dog eyes, I ate every last bite, it was delicious! My husband had a bacon cheese burger that was cooked perfectly to his request, and he insists the patty was made fresh. A very satisfied hubby who was craving a burger and happily rewarded. The other notable highlight, a special of the night, the beef brisket sliders (our table got the last one as it sold out). It looked so tasty, and was reportedly amazing, but no bite for me, my father-in-law wouldn't share. :) And I have to agree with another reviewer, possibly the best crab cakes I've had, real crab, not too much heavy fillers. I have been vacationing in MB for the last 5 years, and I can safely say this is my new favorite restaurant, with fresh seafood cooked perfectly to order. You must try this local place, they truly care and the food speaks for itself. The owners are very friendly and checked in with our table to make sure we were satisfied and happy. One last suggestion, get the homemade dessert. We all decided to order one dessert a piece to take home (everyone was too full to eat one more bite right after dinner), and boy, that was our best decision of the night. Several hours later, all six of us were savoring bites of cheesecake and carrot cake. Pure heaven! You must check out this place, the prices are right for the budget conscious, notice how packed it is with locals, your tastebuds will thank you. This "mom and pop" restaurant is a treasure amidst the resort/chain restaurants. Family owned and loved-because they love providing excellent service and delicious foods-especially the homemade/from scratch desserts-it's a must when visiting the island. The crab cakes were honestly the freshest I eaten-all crab, no fillers. Prices are great for the food quality. I had a "just right" portion. No waste of excess food. A winner on my book! Nothing compares. We eat here 3 to 4 meals per week while vacationing in Surfside. I have yet to eat anywhere that has such great food and large portions. This place is my favorite restaurant anywhere. And if you have room for dessert, these are the finest you will find. I skip breakfast and lunch on the days we get to go there. Solid 4.5 stars. Locally owned and family run. Intimate seating with a warm ambiance. Very friendly service. If you have a big group this is probably not the place for you. If you are in a big hurry this is also not the restaurant for you. BUT if you like great tasting food at a good price served with a side of humor then you are in the right place. Like the Steelers? They do too! the fried mushrooms were great - I didn't care for the ranch but thats the ONLY thing I did not like. They have one of the best crab cakes I've ever eaten -mostly crab barely held together -just delicious. The fried grouper was tasty - a light but crunchy batter over flaky fishy. Huge fried shrimp- not my favorite but was well made. Slaw was fresh,crisp and not too sweet. The baked potato was yummy. Others at my table enjoyed the fresh juicy grilled chicken sandwich, the chicken quesadilla (which was more like a wrap) was plentiful and tasty. It was a saturday so we even got free chocolate chip and walnut cookies! I left overly full but content. I also enjoyed the friendly banter with the staff. We ordered our food to go and everything was still great and fresh. I ordered the bacon & bleu burger and it was very juicy and flavorful. My wife loved her crab cake sandwich. Small restaurant in Surfside beach. Our first time being here and had several customers in the restaurant coming and going saying we wouldn't be disappointed. We was not. Everyone's meal was excellent. I ordered the ribeye and wow. Usually use Heinz 57 sauce on my steak but didn't here. Steak was on point as was everything else. We just found our new place to eat when we come to the beach. Very friendly staff, fast service and all the food gets 5 stars. Wish we would have known about this place in the past. My husband & I ate dinner here tonight. He had the catch of the day platter & I had the fried jumbo shrimp platter. Both were very good! We both had the baked potato which has a light breading on it & it was very yummy! My husband said his fish breading stayed crunchy to the last bite, even after squeezing the lemon over it. We both had salads. I give it 4 stars because we'd return again.. however, they use iceberg lettuce & we prefer the healthier romaine lettuce. Also all of their salad dressings are bottled & I think they'd be better (& healthier) if they were made fresh, plus it would be a cost saver. I had water to drink but my husband had sweet tea, which he said could stand to be a little sweeter. I do like that they allow you to bring in your own wine or beer, if you want. It's a very good place to eat & we'd really like it if they were open for lunch, even if they just served the sandwiches! People are super friendly here! read more

I had a fantastic crab cake sandwich, my parents had the special of grilled pork chops which were juicy with great flavor - no small task for pork chops, and my husband had the quesadilla. Wow, can't say enough. I had the prime rib sandwich.. This is a real slice off the rib cooked to roger. Melt in your mouth tender. Ordered medium rare and it was perfect.
