They have different bento boxes to choose from as well as bibimbap. It is worth to note they have limited supply of certain types of meat/vegetarian options so the earlier you come the better! Chicken pho is made to order and wow it reminded me of my best friend's mom making me her homemade pho. Broth was so flavorful, came out piping hot, and tastes homemade in the best way! Hands down one of my favorite places. I love their xiu mai and kimbap. Not many places serve xiu mai in the sauce or sauce on the side. The banh mi all together is so delicious. The xiu mai is savory, tasty, and juicy. Having the sauce on the side to dip the banh mi in is my absolute fave! Having the sauce on the toasted baguette is so good. First time trying south side super and we will be back. The staff are extremely warm and welcoming. Not to mention they make some really good food. The best thing about this place is the hot foods that are ready to go. It's a life saver when one is short on time and just needs a quick meal to go. BUT those run out quick. Maybe they need to get a larger food storage. The food was good, but average. Doesn't really ring any special bells that other places don't have. If you want to eat limited Korean cuisine in conjunction with limited Vietnamese cuisine in one setting, this is the spot. Maybe they will expand their menu in the future. When I arrived, they have 1 vegetarian japchae plate. And when I talked to the girl at the register, she asked if I would like one beef Kim bop roll to be made. This little surprise spot serves up some great Korean kimbap! I was craving the delightful rolls of my people and stumbled upon Southside Super and their menu. I stopped by a couple of weeks ago and tried the tuna and the bulgogi kimbap to go. Both were really flavorful and brought nostalgia to mind; especially the tuna as they reminded me of the kimbap my mom used to make me for lunch when I was a kid. Except kimbap was not cool and I was embarrassed back then, so I am thrilled that they are no longer cause for embarrassment for this new generation of global eaters! I came back a couple of days later and ordered a bunch of rolls for my daughter's Friendsgiving feast at school. The space is small, but they do have a few seats for dine in. The chefs and servers are super friendly and next time I'll sit at the counter and try their noodle soups. Bite they sell out quickly so pick up early or call to place larger orders on hold. Bought 2 items from the prepared section. The vietnamese pork with quail eggs and japchae. I usually make the traditional vietnamese stewed pork and make it with regular chicken eggs. This dish uses quail egg, which I will cop from now on. LOL. The dish was great! Tasted as authentic as it can be. Nothing wrong with it, so yummy. The japchae was good too. It's just authentic stuff. Glad there are stuff we can just pickup and go. We need more places like this like everywhere.
