First of all they arrived almost 2 hours late, was quoted 99 a hour for 7 hours work truck fee was 50 so 750 100 deposit was made, so it should have been 650, oh no it was 780 and the movers tried to tack on 200 more for a tip turns out, the quote was for a cash price which wasn't mentioned owner said it was in the contract , all we signed was a page stating what happens if they break something. The guys from Space Movers were great. Got my 16 ft container unloaded in 2 hours, taking special care with the many, many paintings I had stored. They also moved the two very heavy flat file wood cabinet & map case with no damage and a lot of effort. They were very efficient, courteous and I felt I received excellent treatment and good value. All my furniture arrived in good condition with the exception of one broken table leg. That was due to the company that did the initial loading, NOT these guys. Kudos to Space Moving!! Definitely not a company I would recommend to anyone. Their pricing is low balled upfront with a $100 deposit, then upon delivery they add hidden fees. Their "contract" is done on the drivers cell phone, so you can't see it or read it. They used my boxes and furniture to prop open doors and the elevator, it looked like a trail from Hansel and Gretel. I received comments/complaints from my neighbors and previous apartment complex. They had never seen such sloppy moving tactics. They took breaks and then charged me for extra time. One bedroom apartment with one queen bed, small dresser, night stand, large ottoman, a bicycle and 31 boxes. It took them over four hours! The language barrier added to the confusion at the end when asking about the price going from $400 to $800! Very convenient. read more

Quote was WAY off. Went through all the details: size of apartment, what kind of furniture, stairs, garage, etc and was quoted 8 hours and a certain amount of dollars. It ended up taking DOUBLE that and consequently doubled the price. Actual movers were ok, but did not seem to be working as quickly or efficiently as they could've. My second move with Space Moving, and my last. I had some problems with the process this time, and things that made me very unhappy. I think that they should have worked a LOT faster. I was really upset with that. They left a lot of trash behind and I didn't like that either. Taking the LONG, back way, to drive to storage, while charging me DOUBLE DRIVE TIME! Took four and a half hours to move PART of a one bedroom on the first floor, to DRIVE UP STORAGE, seven miles away. They had every excuse in the book too. "Oh, it was raining, oh it's a box truck, oh these aren't OUR boxes..." Give me a fckn break! You are movers. I talked to Andrew and expressed my disappointment about everything. I was charged a 100 dollar "deposit" on my card, for which I was promised a refund, and never received. THEN, I paid them 500 in cash, plus 100 tip (600), which they didn't deserve, but I believe in tipping. So, my three hundred dollar quote was complete BS and a lie. I have paid these guys 700 dollars at this point. What a fckn rip off! Now I need to dispute the 100 dollar charge on my card because they never refunded me. Total scam. I can't believe it, because I've used this place before, and it was actually great. Buyer beware, this company WILL scam you. I see in these reviews someone already took them to court and they didn't even bother to show up. So, you decide if that's what you want to deal with. Didn't speak English or Spanish, mixed my stuff with other peoples stuff and aren't claiming any liability for losing my stuff or withholding my stuff from me when im willing to return the moving blankets that they used to move my stuff from their facility to public storage. So i would not recommend going to this place to hold your things. Poor service and customer service. Said i lied about my stuff missing after not going to my public storage for like a year and a half so i had no clue my valuables were missing till i went back to my storage about a week to a week and a half ago to move everything to my new place. read more

I have used them in the past, and referred many clients to them. On my last move in August 2024, they showed up more than 5 hours late which I was willing to overlook. At the end of the move, they included a 20% tip onto my bill without my permission. Since I paid by Zelle, I was not able to dispute. This is a bad and dishonest business practice. I worked with Space Moving on a two part move and they were great to work with on both! The first move was from our house to storage in San Diego, then from storage to Sacramento two weeks later. The process was easy and the movers were very friendly, communicative and FAST. I've moved quite a few times in my life, and these guys were not messing around trying to increase their hours. Special shout out to Yarsolav who helped to manage our move on both the front and back end. We did most of the communication through him, and he was the one to drive our stuff 500 miles north and unpack! *special note* if you are traveling a distance, highly recommend bubble wrapping cement bases of lamps, etc. We had once incident with one of my decorative floor lamps where it cracked/crumbled (we believe) due to the bouncing of the truck. I would not recommend this company for moving. We used them to move from our apartment to a storage unit. They said they would be there by 9am and arrived one hour late at 10am. We had to change our moving date a few times, but always gave them more than 72 hour notice as requested. On the day of the move, they tried to charge us $100 for a change fee. We fought it cus we always gave proper notice. Their company people don't know anything about their own policies and don't write stuff down. We told them on two different instances we wanted our 65inch TV properly wrapped. When the movers grabbed the tv they were just going to place it without protection I the truck. We paid an additional $75 for them to "pack" our TV. All they did was wrap it in one moving blanket and places pieces, yes pieces of cardboard on it. I could have done that. I wanted a proper TV box with padding, that's the whole point to pay for it! The movers that came were overall fine. They were mostly efficient. My experience is mainly about the company as a whole. Also, at the end of the move they charged us $115 PER PERSON (3 person crew) for TIP! They said this was a "built in tip." They never said it was negotiable and just said "that's how the company is." Tip is up to their person receiving the service and based on service. They also charge for using their tape and Saran Wrap extra for $75. I would never use this company again. I would highly recommend HOUSE TO HOME movers. Those are the second moving company we used and they were amazing, on time, reasonably priced and do not charge extra for packaging supplies. read more

Some of my items were missing. One item a 6 feet plant was missing. There is no way they didn't see it in the truck. When I reported it, they said they will call me back and they never did. The moving team, Dimitri and Russ, arrived on time and did not waste any time in getting to work. They demonstrated professionalism and commitment in wanting to excel at their job. I have an antique curio (mostly glass and also wood) which I had been worried as to how movers would handle it. These guys were awesome! We needed our appliances and furniture from our 4 bedroom 2 story home moved into a storage unit. They quickly disassembled all beds, TVs, dressers, appliances and more with ease and efficiency. Everything was padded with moving blankets and wrapped with cellophane to ensure protection. This is my second time using this company and they work well. The first time I moved my stuff from storage to a one bedroom and the crew was fast and efficient and it only took them 4 hours. They even set up my bed frame and place all the furniture where it needed to be. I recently used their service this past weekend and it was good. Moved into a two bedroom so they made a stop at my girlfriend's house first and only took an hour to get her stuff then travel to me. The crew moved everything and didn't break any furniture. I moved just a block away the crew took longer then I expected but the company worked with me and offered a discount which I gladly appreciate. Overall the Company and crew work well and I would looking at hiring their service again in the future if needed. read more

I tried to give them a chance to fix it but they left no choice but to say I have never known a company to do all that I have experienced, my husband was my witness. I looked them up needing to just unload a truck. I booked them. They asked for a $100 deposit up front. I paid it. The first mistake was that they showed up close to 9 PM at night, in a huge moving truck. I was like ok.... Second, as they were unloading our truck, I noticed that they left a trail of our items to prop open doors. There were chairs propping the gate open, chairs propping the door open to the elevator, items like my televisions and glass tables sitting in the corridors, alarming! Raman brought my dresser in and placed it up against our patio blinds. I had to ask him to move it so that the blinds would not break. Of course they did not finish until 1:30 AM. That was not the problem. When it came time to pay he wanted cash. Plus he wanted a $101 tip, which I paid. And when I asked about the deposit he claimed that I would get it back. I never got it back. I called and they never called back. They never seem to be there, just crazy. I paid over $700 and no call back, no response, no nothing. This time, they moved my elderly mother-in-law from her crowded one-bedroom unit in Los Angeles, to a more spacious apartment in San Diego. Once again, they did a great job, putting in a long day, driving to/from LA, and unloading under demanding conditions. (The new place is in a retirement high-rise, with a long, winding path from the truck to the new apartment.) Dmitri and his partner worked hard, stayed pleasant even late into the day, and got the job done. During the day, I talked with Andrew and Greg, who were great at giving me updates and explanations regarding the final bill. DO NOT USE Space Moving at any cost!!! I got a quote from Space Moving for a 10x10 storage unit (it was actually 2 maybe half full storage units about five feet from each other). The over the phone quote from Andrew was $365 "out the door" because they were running a special. I put down a deposit of $100 and on moving day I expected to pay the remaining $265. The movers were exceptionally SLOW and after 4 hours in to the move they had not made much headway and I could sense this was not going to go as planned. I called Andrew and he said the price was just an estimate and not the total price. At the end of the day, my move totaled $990 and I was given a credit for my deposit of $100 so had to pay $890. There was not one appliance, heavy item, most was boxes, 2 dressers, loveseat, 2 recliners. I was also RETALIATED ON. They left my place a complete disaster. I had serious back issues and it was piled and has taken 18 months to sort it out. Please check out the video. This is only the living room and doesn't include other rooms. Greg, who pretended to be the Quality Control guy (who is actually the owner) called to see how everything went and I let him know exactly how awful this whole process was.
