Yaroslav, Valera and Murat moved my 1,700 sq ft townhouse. I have large and heavy furniture. They wrapped all items with blankets and were very careful with my furniture and did not damage anything. They navigated multiple floors in both my old and new locations. Truly experienced movers and very hard workers that treated my belongings and space carefully. Space Moving was Great! They arrived on time and was very professional. Demetri and his team was very nice. They wrap all your furniture and load their trucks so that everything will fit. Any furniture that needs to be broken down they will do it and put everything together at your next destination. There trucks are very clean! This is a two part review. First, I would like to express my gratitude to Yaroslav and Valera, our two movers. They arrived promptly, moved out furniture and belongings with care, efficiently, and quickly. They were very friendly she got the job done. They also assembled our bed frames. 5 stars for them, I would hire them independently to move us again. The second part of this review is based on the company Space Movers itself, hence the 2 star overall review. We rescheduled our move 7 days in advance. Per the contract, any more than 7 days required a $100 change fee. No problem, I didn't r this change after the 7 day mark. I sent the owner, Andrey, a message early afternoon. He did not reply until the next day. Because he didn't reply until the next day, he used that as the window of the late reschedule. Shady, If you asked me. We called Andrey the morning of the move when we were informed about this fee, no answer. This left us with no choice but to pay the $100 so our movers could get on their way- I figured I would reach out to Andrey again later on. After two attempts in contacting him, he went silent. I even told him I was giving him the opportunity to respond before I take this to my credit card company. Still, no response. The company "Space Movers" is not run professionally and I will not use that company again. Just a forewarning to all who book, check the reviews. read more

Hired space movers for my move, they were a bit pricey especially since their rate was$175 per hour and wasted they first half hour then on the way out they wasted another 10 minutes and charged me for 15 min extra on top of all the time they decided to waste. I most definitely won't go with them again since they decided to charge me that extra 15 minutes. I'm going the 2nd half of my move in 2 to 3 months and will shop around for better rates as well! I was moving from San Diego to San Francisco, and needed help packing up my Uhaul. I'm pretty good at packing, but I knew that with the heavy furniture it would be better to hire a mover. When I called Space Moving, they were kind enough to provide me a quote for a full service move and for just the loading labor. I chose loading labor only, and wow the team they sent was great! The guys were prompt and courteous as well as ridiculously efficient. They loaded my 2 bedroom apartment (furniture, boxes, and all) into my 26' Uhaul with a little room to spare. It was the most masterful game of real life Tetris I've ever seen. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to move! read more

My experience with Space movers has been absolutely horrendous. The lack of professionalism and customer service is astounding. Movers arrived 2 and a half hours late, couldn't even tell they were part of the company as no identifying shirt, hat, nothing with company information. They broke the leg on the very first piece of furniture moved. They proceeded to break several blinds and a side table before leaving my apartment. Upon arrival at the new condo the movers scratched newly installed floors in several places in several rooms as well as punching a hole in the wall of my staircase hallway. One of the movers was talking on his phone several times throughout. Both movers would talk to each other in another language right in front of me and I could not understand them when they did. I spoke with the owner (Andrew) and his disregard and dismissal of my concerns was just astonishing. He completely ignored all the broken items I mentioned and kept repeating "its just a scratch" on floors that had been newly installed literally days prior to the workers moving my furniture. I have been calling several times and spoken with him to try and get my wall repaired and he keeps telling me he will call me back and then doesn't. Finally sent a handyman who did horrible repair work. I would say keep looking unless you want broken furniture or damaged property. read more

Space Moving, and most importantly, Emil (our head mover) met our expectations. Communication was fast and easy, our quoted price and final invoice price were the same (and a good deal), the movers showed up right on time and were able to move everything into the truck quickly. We had a long distance move, so we met Emil at our new townhome the next day. He showed up right on time. Unfortunately, and this is the reason for the 4 stars, Emil informed me that his "partners" weren't answering their phone and, thus, Emil was forced to move everything by himself. I ended up helping him a little because I felt bad, no one should move things alone. Any way, Emil kept apologizing, didn't complain once, and did an amazing job moving everything into our new house on his own. Nothing was damaged. Finally - when we informed Space Movers and asked for some credit, since we did not get all three movers we paid for, they were resistant at first and claimed that we were quoted only for the loading and transport, not the unloading. Looking through our contract, that was not the case (it just quotes us for "Moving.") After some back and forth they did end up giving us a credit. All in all, if I weren't young and relatively in shape enough to help move, I probably would've rated with fewer stars. But, they were easy to communicate with, our quote was fair/accurate, we were given a credit, everything arrived on time and undamaged, and Emil saved the day at the end of it all. read more

Not the best experience. Arrived an hour late...The guy was cool...but the admin promised they could get all of our stuff out of storage (we explained the size) with a large enough truck. The truck they brought was NOT large enough... So they offered to go back to storage and get the remaining items - for $95/hr... Definitely could've been better. It's just that they worked hard to get the job (calling back a couple of times)...You would think the service would've been as good as their persistence. read more

I requested a quote and Andrew responded within 2 hours of my request for a move from SD to LA. Fortunately, they were available the date I wanted. There was a 2hr time frame 8-10am of when they arrive and after talking to Andrew, he told me 9am, and plus a text of when they're 20 minutes away! I had two movers both who worked very hard and nonstop and professional. They used moving blankets and shrink wrap for my big furniture items and even provided wardrobe boxes for my clothes on hangers--all included! You have to give them back the wardrobe boxes afterwards. They disassembled my bed frame and put it back together in no time! To note, bubble wrap and boxes cost extra, but didn't have to use them. Nothing was missing or broken after the move. They even let me double check the truck afterwards! The estimate includes double time drive which is a law passed by CA public utilities commission which requires all CA moving companies to follow. I ended up paying a little more than the estimate, but granted LA traffic is crazy and inevitably long, the truck had to stop at the San Clemente weigh station, and the double time drive contributed to this. However, paying with cash is $10 less per hour than using card. Truck is $100. Regardless, still a very reasonable price for my move. Only thing was there were different numbers that got back to me after the estimate that were not the company's actual number, which was confusing. But at least they are communicative and it was those automated texts about the receipt. Overall, great experience and helped moving be less stressful. After my last review which is below.... One of the representatives from the company called me back to discuss.. He offered to refund me the money they over charged me and replace the leg on my couch that was broke from the movers not wrapping it correctly.. And in return I would remove my bad review! Still to date I haven't received the credit and they haven't even tried to replace the leg on my broken couch.. So not only are they crooks but they are liars too! I still stand strong with the worst moving company out there! Arrived late! Took them an hour to start the move, kept taking cigarette breaks to run the clock out! We helped them the whole time! Broke down our beds and moved all stuff to front door for them! They broke multiple things they didn't replace or credit me for. I have pictures of it all. We bought them lunch and they still over charged me and charged my card without my approval because I didn't agree with paying for their cigarette breaks also! Took them allllll day to move a 2 bedroom apartment with our help and they had to call a 3rd person! Worst moving company I've ever used! Do not use them! read more

I used Andrew and his crew for my long distance move. They gave me a flat rate and stuck too it. No extra costs or hidden fees. He and his guys showed up on time, we're very friendly, polite, and efficient. They packed up everything in our two bedroom townhouse. Andrew worked with us on our time table for delivery in Colorado two days after the pickup and set everything up in our new house. I just used the Space Moving company today and it was a great experience. They gave me a arrive time between 1 and 3. Prior, to the movers arriving I received a text message that they were arriving in 18 minutes. Which was great, cause I had to leave the house and buy more packages tape. When they arrived at 1pm, they were very courteous, professional and worked very efficiently. They texted me all the way thru the process and we communicated great. I will use this company again when I get back from deployment. They were also a great price for me, I put a $100 deposit & at the end of the move payed $320. I moved 650 miles away and the whole thought of moving was giving me nightmares. I was very happy with the Space Moving crew. They were diligently working the whole time....loading up boxes and effectively putting everything I own into a truck. A lot of trust goes into a long distance move....or any move with your property. I was delighted that nothing was damaged or lost during the move. The guys that unloaded had it extra hard since they arrived later than I suggested....early morning would've been better in 108 degree weather. Instead showed up during middle of the day heat. Minus 5 Stars If you want a company to show up with fewer movers than promised, none of whom speak fluent English, show up late, damage all your important furniture, try to change the terms of their contract while your entire home is in boxes, have them steal from you and threaten you for a payment above what was promised, then THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR YOU. I wont go into all the details but suffice to say, moving with SPACE MOVERS was a total nightmare, from a fly by night company run out of an apartment. Avoid at all cost. And when they claim I am a competitor making up this story and they have no record of our move it will be just another lie. DO NOT book with this company. If I could give them less than one star I would. Working with them was a complete nightmare. Booked with them for July 8th at 8am. Greg ensured their arrival at 8am because we live downtown San Diego and had a reservation booked for 8am to 10am. We kept calling and texting Greg from 8:15 to 8:30. With no response in text or even a call back. We had to call the office and we finally got in contact with Andrey. Andrey continued to say the movers will not be arriving until after 9am. By that time my apartment canceled our reservation because the movers were not there yet. We requested our deposit back multiple times but Andrey insisted we stick with them and they will come back at 1pm. We booked the elevator for 1-3pm. Andrey insisted the movers would be there by 12pm to start breaking down furniture and again we were stuck waiting til they arrived at 12:30pm. They took FOUR hours to pack up a ONE BEDROOM apartment. By then it's 4:30pm and there is traffic to the inland empire. It took them two hours to get to my home. It's now 6:30pm. While unloading furniture and boxes they didn't unwrap any furniture and while they were assembling the bed and dining table I kept walking past and seeing them with their hands on their hips laughing and talking. It took them an hour and a half to assemble a simple bed. By 9:00pm of completion they show me the receipt for 11 hours and 30mins. Tell me if that makes sense?! They kept saying you are aware of double drive time. How are we aware of double drive time if there's nothing that tells me what double drive time is? The contract never specified what it is. Our receipt only showed the hourly rate and fuel. They will tack on fees and extra hours by the end of it all. The movers did they thing and worked hard. Slow, very slow but hard. It's management that's the issue. Greg and andrey are not on the same page at all. Stay far away from this company. read more
