    Walleye (5 stars!)
    Megan S.

This was our first time here - went for my husband's birthday. I read some reviews trying to decide what to order and honestly was a little nervous seeing what other yelpers had to say. We both ordered wine and had complimentary bread brought to our table. It was good! (who doesn't love bread?) Italian herby bread served warm with butter. We ordered the meatball appetizer which was VERY good, I could have eaten the sauce with a spoon. Husband was a big fan! For dinner, my husband got the Spasso pizza, which he said was good, but floppy. The toppings were too heavy for the thin crust so it was hard to eat a bite without the tomatoes falling off. It was large, definitely enough to split for 2. He said he would try something other than pizza next time, not that it was bad, but just that it was hard to eat. I had the walleye which was PHENOMENAL! The lemon sauce was perfect, the walleye and potatoes were crispy, absolute perfection. I'm sad I couldn't finish it (I blame the bread and meatball for taking up space). Would 100% go back just for that plate alone. Compliments to the chef, it was amazing. Our service was great - the place was pretty full for a Wednesday but we didn't have trouble getting a table. I expected it to be upscale, but it was casual, nothing on the food menu exceeded $30. Lots of kids, I think there was a child under 5 at every table (all well behaved, so no complains there). Overall, would go back to try more on the menu. Great experience and pretty great food.

The food was disappointing. The brussel sprouts were overly sweet and and the lasagna was very greasy. The gluten free pizza crust was soggy and oily with little taste. My husband did enjoy the bread and the caprese salad was tasty but nothing extraordinary. The ambience was romantic which was nice for date night. Service was slow despite the restaurant being nearly empty.

Aaron was a wonderful server. I really liked my cheese ravioli but I had a bite of my husband's lasagna and I wish i ordered it instead. The space has a large free parking lot that is easily accessible. It took a while to get our entrees but the appetizers and salads came out fast. I would recommend if you're looking for great food and great service!

    Calamari

Second time here. Drinks are always good. We had the calamari app. I loved the red bell peppers on it, but the calamari itself were a little tough, not sure if they set under a heat lamp. The bread is always warm and good. I had the ribeye with mash potatoes and asparagus. Very good. My fiance had the chicken mushroom risotto, it was good, not great. Overall, I like the restaurant. The staff is very pleasant.

This long-standing Minnetonka restaurant features a large parking lot, ensuring plenty of parking. Inside, the place is spacious and adorned with charming mosaic decor. There's also a delightful outdoor seating area that becomes very popular in good weather. It is good for either a family dinner or a gathering party! The menu focuses on traditional Italian cuisine. Complimentary bread is provided before the meal. We ordered the spaghetti, which was amazing, with a robust tomato sauce featuring flavorful chunks. The shrimp scampi was tasty, though a bit soupy. The kids' meals are standard but come with a favorite: ice cream! The walleye was very fresh, though the accompanying vegetables could be improved with different options. The service is excellent and efficient. Overall, this is a charming local Italian restaurant.

    Chicken Alfredo to go

My dad and I ordered take out last night. We've come here many times before, but it's either a hit or a miss for me. Luckily this time it was a hit! I thought I had for sure had this dish before from here and being soso with it, but this was very flavorful and the chicken was a good portion and not dry! I'll for sure get that again. It was a quick and easy pick up as well. No issues.

Service is incredible, everyone is so kind and welcoming. The resteraunt decor is very elegant but overall nothing special, but I don't know a single person who goes to a resteraunt to look at decor. What matters to me is that it's clean and well kept! The food is, of course, incredible. The spaghetti and meatball is always my go-to, but just about everything on the menu is great. The desserts are even better too! Crème brulée is fantastic here.

I would not have thought to go here had friends not made the reservation (it is near their home) and I guess I would not go out of the way to go here again. Don't let that stop you. Very close to the lake(walking distance) There is a free parking ramp right behind the building. The decor of this place is cute! The details seem like they were well thought out! It feels upscale and cozy! I saw a video of this place and that was what originally drew me in! The seating here is also comfortable and not over crowded. Our server was ok. I saw so many raves about the "amazing service." She did refill our water glasses, which was good because I needed it with the salty steak! Obviously the most important piece is the food. We started with the popovers. The taste was fine but the texture was almost over done. The honey butter was lacking honey flavor. Cinnamon would have really elevated the butter! I got the steak frites and my sister got the spaghetti. My fries were average. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium all the way through! I was impressed. However, it was drowning in a VERY salty sauce! I had push a lot of it off. This should be served on the side, not covering the whole steak. My sister got the spaghetti, which our waitress explained was not a regular spaghetti. I feel she has probably had to do that multiple times and honestly, it should just be renamed. It's confusing for the customer. My sister did say she enjoyed the dish and that the shrimp was ere done well. For dessert I got "Aunties iced latte" which is their version of like an espresso martini. It was just ok. Would not get again. We got the carrot cake which was good!! But then they ruined it by putting fake whipped cream.... This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and that made the dessert feel so cheap. We also got the creme brûlée. DO NOT ORDER THAT! It is an absolute waste of money! The sugar top was so thick we couldn't eat it! The dessert had the consistency of scrambled eggs, not a smooth custard. The taste seemed ok, but whoever made this does not know what they are doing! Overall, the food was not memorable and a lot of it was done poorly. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.

The flavor was good but the beef was cooked way too much. The best part about Wagyu is its melt in your mouth tender and this been was cooked so much it almost seemed like ground beef. The tacos were also TINY. The fried potatoes were well cooked and crispy but they just needed more sauce. It was a LOT of potato.
