I don't normally write reviews but I have to give major props to the magicians at Speedy Glass. Five months ago, I was driving my husband up to Seattle from L.A. and we stopped off in Eugene to go to on of my favorite hiking trails from college (I went to the UofO). When we returned from our hike, someone had shattered the front passenger window and the rear driver's side window. They stole my $30 dash cam and all of his military dress uniforms. That was all we had inside the vehicle. To this day, I have no idea why they broke two windows since they were already in the car, but I digress. We had to get to Seattle in two days so he could get to Sea-Tac and fly to his new duty station overseas. Our insurance works with Safelite, who couldn't see us for another week. Needless to say, the prospect of driving 3-5 hours with no windows wasn't going to work. We happened to briefly stay with my family in Tualatin and my uncle mentioned Speedy Glass in Tigard. I called and spoke to the most wonderful, sympathetic human being on the planet. She assured us that they could see us the following morning, and that our insurance would cover the repair. She estimated the job would take two hours. They were wonderful enough to call in a second technician and the job only took ONE HOUR. They vacuumed the glass and made it look like our car had never been broken into. My anxiety vanished and I had no trouble getting my husband to the airport. Thank you, Speedy Glass! These guys scratched the hell out of my car and deny deny deny. When I brought my car in they got the glass and installed the window like anyone would expect, in fact they got the glass with very little notice. I will commend them on that. However the first thing I told them was to be very careful because the rear end had just been painted a few months ago. When I brought the car in it was the day in between two snowstorms in February the car was dirty from de icer and highway spray. Can't exactly wash it with the window shattered. When the car come out of their shop I said " I hope that didn't scratch the paint where the dirt is all rubbed off" the gal said " don't wash the car for 4-5 days because the soap and pressure washers can damage the seal" makes sense to me so I say ok. Due to freezing temps and snow and rain 12 days go by before the sun gives me 1 day to wash my car. Holy cow was I upset when I saw all of the scratches. I immediately call the shop and the manager tells me " no our hoses don't scratch paint and we wouldn't have been working near your rear fenders to replace your back window". Really lady? You did it from the front end did you? I tell her I am bringing the car in at noon the next day and she says no don't I'll be on vacation until next week and my regional manager will have to see this first. I bring it in anyways and video the entire encounter. The tech who scratched my car grabbed some blue shop towels and frantically scrubbed my fender hoping to buff out the damage but it didn't work. A week or so later I was finally able to meet up with the two managers and in 5 seconds I was being told no it wasn't them and how do I wash my car because there are swirls in the paint on the hood. Which by the way does not make putting scratches through the clear coat ok. They tell me hoses don't scratch paint and come inside and we will show you what hose damage looks like..... ??? Really? I didn't take the bait. I said we're talking about these scratches in my car not whatever you have inside. The regional manager then says get out of here and have a nice day. So they won't take responsibility for their actions they lie and deny and they are dishonest crooks so I wouldn't take any car of value to them for any reason. Let them know you read my review with s like because an inexpensive buff of the dress would have gotten them a great review on credibility alone. read more

Maybe it's just me, but often times when I get quoted for any sort of auto repair, it usually ends up being more. For whatever reason, I've experienced a lot of establishments trying to tack on extra dollars after the job is done. This was not the case with Speedy Glass. I was very impressed with Speedy's super efficient service. On a whim, I pulled up one afternoon to have an old rock chip repaired on my windshield. I explained to the tech what I needed done and I read their pamphlet on rock chip repairs. He informed me that the chip would still be partially visible after the service - fine by me. My only concern was to prevent future spreading of the crack. As promised, my vehicle was ready in about twenty minutes. The rock chip looks a lot better than it did before coming in. And their guarantee says that if the crack does expand in the future, should I need a replacement windshield, I can apply the $30 of the repair service towards windshield replacement. I love that they accept drop-ins and that they made the repair in a super timely manner. Definitely recommend to anyone who has chips on their windshield. read more

Speedy was recommended by my insurer when one of the windows on my vehicle was smashed during a break in. I see they have some good reviews, but I question how that happened, based on my experience. My car was with them 5 times. They ordered the wrong glass or kit three times. They had no explanation for why they were making mistakes. The fifth time I was in, to get my car back after yet another wrong part was ordered, the guy just shrugged his shoulders. I mean, really. They should know how to get the right glass for a Chevy. And, they should have enough pride to at least be embarrassed by their own incompetence. By the way...I took my car back to MS Glass in Beaverton and they figured out the entire problem in a couple hours over the phone. Thanks, Valerie at MS glass. One more thing. I've only got two yelp reviews so far, and both are for glass places. I know that's weird, but I am a real person, this is a real experience and Speedy sucked. read more

I don't even want to give these people one star. The personnel at this location are not only rude, but the company is full of lies. I went in a couple of months ago because my windshield cracked due to what might have been a rock on the right side after only having it for 5 months. I say might because its very hard to tell if a rock hit there. The plastic where it meets the windshield is slightly morphed on this side from the inside creating what i believe to be a weak spot in the windshield exactly where the rock might have hit hit and cracked it. When I showed the worker he said it was "normal" and there was nothing they could do about it because the crack was longer than 6 inches. On their website it states: "Product Warranty: The original manufacturer's warranty (including all restrictions and guidelines applicable to the warranty) applies to all defects in material and workmanship and provides a two (2) year warranty against seal failure from the date of original installation." When I inquired further on this topic with a sales person over the phone she got angry and stated that it was an "act of god" and there was nothing they would do for me. Not only was this a completely different excuse but what exactly does that NOT entail.....everything could be considered an act of god. Including the production of this rude sales associate. Later on after all this lovely customer associate interaction I was headed out to the coast one day and got stuck behind a gravel truck. Rocks pummeled my windshield and a couple hit it pretty good. I went in again yesterday 5/4 to get my so called "free" two rock chip repairs included with my windshield. The moment i stepped in the door I was civil and inquired about my rock chip. The sales woman rudely snaps at me "you know that will be $30 right?" That's when i got angry and told them no....you said the first two would be free. Her manager came out and looked at my car and said that it was just a surface chip and it wouldn't crack. So needless to say if it does I will not only place a formal complaint to the head of the branch, but i will definitely NOT get it repaired here. All the happenings with this company goes to show you that they have #1 HORRIBLE customer service #2 CHEAP CRAPPY GLASS #3 FALSE advertising. Thanks for nothing speedy glass. read more

Just went there to fix a rock chip on a 3rd vehicle that I don't drive that much. The guy looked at it and said it was already fixed. I told them that if someone fixed it then that was them, so they looked in the records and yes I had them fix it 2 months after I got a new windshield from them but forgot all about it. He could have pretended that it needed to be fixed and charged me for it again. Long story short, honest, awesome service, will be back! read more

I had a really great experience with Speedy Glass. I called to get a quote on a windshield replacement from them and Mark was very quick. Mark gave me the quote quickly and guided me through the process. When I told him I was getting quotes, he let me know that he'd be happy to have my business and would match any quote I got. I called a few other companies nearby and Speedy Glass had the lowest quote with the exception of one company I had found a 10% off coupon for online. I called Mark and he matched it even $5 lower than the coupon without me even asking! I had called last minute and assumed that I would have to make an appointment for a future date. However, he said he would make every effort to get me repaired same day. Mark always let me know what was happening throughout the process, had quick follow-up and was very friendly. Frank came out and installed my windshield and was super friendly and professional. He had me completed in less than 20 minutes! He explained their warranty, wished me a happy New Year and was very easy to work with. I had a great experience from start to finish and was surprised to read that others have had bad experiences. We went in here to have a rock chip repaired - it was pretty close to us and cheaper if we came in than if we had them come out to us, so we figured why not? We didn't make an appointment ahead of time. When we got there, we could tell they were short staffed that day, we weren't in a hurry or anything so we just stuck around. The poor Speedy Glass rep (Russell, I think is his name) was doing it all. Answering phones, repairing rock chips, taking care of people in the shop - I felt really bad for him. Nevertheless, I think he handled it in stride and went as fast as he could go. I won't go into super detail but let's just say Russell understood we waited for a bit and he completely made it up to us. We definitely will return to this Speedy Glass. No hassle, unlike the first incompetent insurance company rep I spoke to. Filled chips and connecting 3/8" crack with resin. Some damage is still visible but much reduced and have peace of mind. My sunroof shattered and I needed to get my window covered before leaving town. I had ordered the part/motor for the sunroof but it was raining so I needed to take care of it ASAP. I googled "glass repair", and Speedy Glass was the closest one to show up in the area. I explained my situation and they took my car in right away.
