    Chicken Korma

We have been patronizing spice room for years. It's always delicious. Everything is cooked to order and done well with the requested spice. Regulars are chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, kadai, cheesy garlic naan, chai tea, samosa chaat, garlic spicy cauliflower and others. All so good Full bar. Cozy interior that is always loud and full of people. It's clean and restrooms are ok. Patio is ok when we have the dog but not a Juliet of their experience. Limited seating inside and reservations are recommended for peak times and weekends. It's 4pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was over half full and a dozen people have come and gone for take out. It's busy all the time.

Food was fresh and full flavored. We got one Butter Chicken and one Lamb Madrass, both came with rice. We got medium spice and it wasn't overbearing or too spicy at all. We also got the Garlic Cheese Naan which was sooo soft! The Mango Lassi was also really good, not too sour. Service was quick, didn't wait for a table on a Friday night. Food came out very quick and were made fresh to order. Ambiance is nice and clean, smells like lots of spices when you walk in, which gets your appetite up! Parking is EXTREMELY difficult though, only 4 spots available in the front...I believe it's just street parking if you aren't able to get a spot.

They have so many options of curries to choose from! Each curry comes with an order of rice. We ordered garlic and cheese naan which tastes so fresh and soft. The rice is a bit plain but goes well with the heavier curries like the Madrass. Curries are packed with flavor and is the perfect take-out meal. The crackers were a good appetizer with the four sauces it came with. The service was fast as the food came out even faster. It's clean inside but not many tables for seating. the parking lot can get pretty crowded.

So, I came here a couple times in the past. It didn't really stand out in my memory (no negative ass associations, but no burning desire to come here again). However, I have been going to the Arvada location quite a bit the last year or so. And since this location is conveniently located just two long blocks away from the Federal Theater, I decided I needed to try it again. It is really good. It is the exact same menu as the Arvada location. The service is very good. Prices are a bit steep, but that is par for the course these days. The food is really well-made, I have not had anything here that I did not think was well prepared. Probably my biggest problem is trying to decide between ordering one of my old favorites or trying something new. Sometimes you get rewarded with something amazing and other times you realize "oh yes, those aren't quite the flavors I was looking for". But, I can definitely recommend this location and we'll be eating here again. Uber convenient to grab dinner here before going to a concert or other show at the Federal Theater.

Pretty solid food, butter chicken and jalfereezi were both solid. Service was decent and ambiance was clean and reasonably well appointed. None of the dishes were amazing but if you're looking for Indian food this place will certainly satisfy the craving for naan or spice. Remember spicy is spicy. They have a pretty extensive menu and the portion sizes are conducive for ordering family style.

Small space inside and limited seating outside. Parking is tight and limited space. We were first in the restaurant. We got water without ice. We have asked twice for the ice, and then we got glass full of ice. It was hard to use it. And we saw the rest of the table got iced water with lime in it. I'm not happy with this cold service. Food came fast. Mango Lassi- 3.5/5 - not too sweet, which I like, but the consistency was not good. Chai old fashion - 2.5/5 Ipa- 4/5 Mushroom Manchurian - 3/5 - Mushroom is cooked nicely, but Gravy is a little sweet and with more artificial color. Malai kofta -5/5 - great curry with taste Dal makhani - 4/5 - nice curry without greasy Laccha paratha - 4/5 - edges were hard to eat, but it was thin Onion kulcha - 4/5

Butter Chicken (Makhani). Our favorite of the night.

Wonderful! We had been to another one of their Spice Rooms in Arvada and it was perfection. I thought I'd show the family this other location, and it was just as delicious! We are now huge fans. We used to love Yak and Yeti, but the quality went down and so we've been on a hunt for a new Indian/Nepalese. This is it. The hunt is over. We love this place, the service, the quality, the ambiance. I'm willing to bet that even though they have several locations, the quality is top notch each time. While the ambiance wasn't as pretty on 38th as it was in Arvada, it still made up for it with the excellent food and service. Glad to have found a new favorite!

The Spice Room did it again-amazing Indian food! We ate way too much went to bed extra full but when the food is that good how do you stop? The chicken Shahenshah is our favorite dish and we always get that with naan and we've started getting the french fries because french fries and curry is just an unbeatable combination. I'm a big fan of their Chana saag and the sag paneer also very good. In fact I've never had a bad meal there. Lately we order all of our spice room online and pick it up and eat it at home and I've been really impressed by their commitment to using sustainable packaging. Everything almost everything that they use is compostable, which is amazing.

Honestly, one of the better Indian restaurants I have ever been to. When you find a restaurant that packs them in and a large menu you know a place has it dialed.

Service was easygoing and the cashier answered a couple questions about the menu without making me feel rushed. My food took around ten minutes, which seemed reasonable since they were getting a steady lunch crowd. The place has a casual atmosphere where people actually sit and relax for a while instead of eating and leaving right away.

My first encounter with this restaurant was 7-8 months ago as a quick takeout. As I was quite…read moreimpressed with the quality of the food I had back then I had been looking forward to experiencing it again. This time I go to dine in. Since my adult daughter and I were going to be there for a little celebration I made the reservation through the restaurant's website requesting to be seated at a 4-person table. Unfortunately upon arrival the restaurant not only did not even check to see if they had us on the reservation list they also didn't allow us to sit at a 4-person table. The restaurant wasn't busy at all on a Monday night so they simply treated us like a "walk-in" guest. Mmm...what's the purpose of the reservation link on their website if they don't value it?? They took us to one of the smaller two-person tables. After sitting there for 5 minutes or so perusing the menu, we kindly asked one of the workers if we could move to the bar seating that overlooks the busy Broadway. This was the game changer. The elevated seats and the tabletop made the ambience feel more like a special occasion. Thank goodness...this was the only bummer part of our dinner. The rest, fortunately, went quite well! Food: It looks like another Indian/Nepali restaurant at first but in my personal experience, this one ranks the best or top tier for their authenticity. The below is directly copied/pasted from the electronic recipe of ours: -PANI-PURI (Vegan/DF) $8.00 -Ice Tea $3.00 -Masala Chai $4.00 -COCONUT CURRY WHITE FISH. (DF/GF)$20.00 (Medium heat) -KHATTI MITTHI BHINDI (VEGAN/ GF) $15.00 (Medium heat) -WHOLE WHEAT BREAD $3.00 Pani-puri came out after our two main dishes although Pana-Puri is more of an appetizer (lol). Tho two main dishes were cooked in a medium heat and yet they were extremely doable even for someone like me who is not much of a "heat" person. My daughter is not a big fan of naan bread so as she is way more versed in the very cuisine (she had just come back from India spending a month to be trained to be a yoga instructor with a certification) she suggested we get the thin wheat bread. This bread went efficiently well with our two mains. Both iced teas were a great accompaniment to our whole meal. And again, how authentic everything tasted and how meticulously everything was cooked and prepared, it was something we couldn't ask for better quality. A bit of a disappointment with the whole reservation situation and yet the quality of the food broke even at the end. Service was good to decent although it wasn't exceptional but our basic needs were met.

It was served with a large bowl of yellow basmati rice. I ate 1/2 and the rest home. They offer another favorite dessert, Gujar Halwa. This is a sweetened finely chopped hot carrot pudding. Yummy.
