Last night we came here to have dinner party of nine. We came in on a late flight and had to leave on an early one the following day so we just wanted to grab a quick bite. Luckily this restaurant was opened late and we were able to order and get a meal in after a long day. We sat at a round table and had two hot pots which were split down the middle so we were able to have two different soups each, four soups total. Then we ordered an assortment of meats, vegetables,'s and other additions. Some of the dishes that we ordered included beef, lamb, fish balls, mushrooms, duck blood, tofu, and other vegetables as well. All of which are à la carte. Additionally, they have a sauce bar where you're able to grab as much toppings and customize your sauce to your liking. Came here as a group of 7 at around 9 PM on Sunday, we were quickly seated after we arrived. We were not planning to have hotpot from the start, so we went straight for the skewers menu. The skewers menu was on a piece of laminated menu that you can mark with the marker yourself. One interesting thing I noticed is that chicken's heart seems like a hidden menu as it was only written in Chinese, we ticked that one too. The first order came after around 10-ish minutes, and the dish just keep coming till the last one we ordered. There was very minimal interaction with the server, but they regularly empty our used skewer bin, and refilled our hot water for tea. Skewers are generally good, although they all have same spices for everything. Most of the meat are marinated, so even the inside is flavourful. We had around 10 skewers per person for about 25 per person including tip, pretty expensive overall. read more

Expensive hot pot that is not worth the price. If you compare this to dollar shop or hai di Lao it lacks the ambience, the service, the variety, but yet it cost just about the same. If you compare this to happy lamb then it's way more expensive but yet doesn't seem to be much better and it can't fill you up or give you the variety for the price. So not sure where this lands but it's like just a middle of somewhere and anyhow you slice it you can pick a better hot pot place. read more

Ate so much, I don't think I've yet expelled everything that I stuffed into myself. Hot pot is a lovely way to eat with friends and family, when you want to make a real event out of it. We sat here for hours, eating all kinds of things. The thought of it, as I write this has made me hungry again. Meat, seafood, and vegetables boiled in a soup sounds healthy, but expect to eat a lot when you sit down for hot pot. Its never a quick, small meal. I have no complaints about this place. Long time no post! Let me take you to MY NEW GO TO HOTPOT AND SKEWER PLACE IN RICHMOND BC. Now they aren't new to Richmond but it's sure new to me and probably new to a lot of you! They are hidden in plain sight right on Alexandra rd. It's fragrant and we got their: - Preserved egg and parsley (wish there was more preserved egg tho) 8/10. - Spiceworld special spicy soup 10/10. The Spiceworld spicy soup is amazing and 10/10 recommend. All my mala lovers this is for you! * Their skewers were also super good (honestly surprised how good and juicy each was). Nothing was dry or disappointing. The flavours were all there. - chicken wing skewer 7/10. - Chicken knee skewer 10/10. - Beef skewer 8/10. - Lamb skewer 8/10. * Their meats were also super delicious, they were tender and ultra delicious. One of my favorite hotpot place in Richmond. Very spacious, lots of ingredients for making your own sauce, and 2 big vip rooms for private functions. The fatty beef is simply the best, melt in your mouth so tender and juicy. We had the live geoduck sashimi and used half for hotpot it's was very good. This restaurant may not look much from the outside but the interior has a great presence. The decor and the layout is just impeccable. It will be great to take a first date but also ideal for big groups. The service is also very classy. The servers remind me of French maitre'd who are always there to answer every question and to make sure you know exactly what you need to do. There is a small menu for individual meals. It seems skewers are quite popular here. There are other dishes that are served but our main concern is for the hot pot. We were given a bigger menu for the hot pot. You'll have given a dry erase marker to check what you want from the smaller(individual) menu. For the hot pot, you can choose a fixed menu in which a broth is set and meat, seafood and noodles are set. What we chose to do is customize our hot pot. Our server mentioned we can do half and half of each broth (certain broth only) and higher priced one will be the price. We decided to go for the tomato basil and chicken with sake. I can't quite recall which meat we chose but there is pork belly, 2 kinds of beef (rib eye), 2 orders of meatballs (seafood variety & cheese) and fresh instant noodles. Ideally, it's good to choose something that cooks fast. Udon and glass noodle fans may have to wait a little longer to enjoy their noodles. The restaurant has a condiment section close to the bar. There's chili powder, garlic green onions and all kinds of sauces you can add to tweak your broth. My huuuuge suggestion is DON'T put anything in your bowl you're not familiar with. Put it on the plate you're provided with to try it first. Our experience here is great! The servers were so attentive. What I didn't understand is why the servers added more broth when ours hit boiling point- why not just turn down the flame. I was assuming it will ruin the taste but it didn't. It remained tasty. Also, there were bits and pieces of chicken, beef and shellfish plus aromatics on the bottom of the broth. Fish them out and enjoy them. Chopsticks may not be your friend if you want to enjoy the beef bones. I highly recommend this place and we will surely return. read more

Pricey & WORST quality of food I have ever had in my entire life!!! Extremely awful aftertaste. The beef came completely frozen... unbelievable. Lotus, duck blood, veggies, even heavily seasoned food all have a weird, stinky taste. None of the food taste fresh. Any homemake hotpot will be better than this crap. I don't know where all these good reviews come from? I came here after reading the reviews (with four and a half stars you'd expect this place to be worth a try). First off, everything on the menu is over priced, food was mediocre at best. The service is what I'm really upset about. We ordered a curry cuttlefish and the onions inside were straight up raw, the cuttlefish was uncooked as well. We told the waitress about it but she wasn't even apologetic about our experience, sent it back to the kitchen until I reminded her about it. We asked for more soup in our hot pot and the waiter straight up poured water into the pot. Okay, I'm no hot pot expert maybe that's how they do it here. But the second time we asked he came with soup and added soup to it...hmm at least keep it consistent. And playing children songs in the background really didn't help the experience! I came here for the first time after a friend recommended it to me. First impression are good! A clean and spacious restaurant that can sit many people. I was greeted and brought to the table promptly. I ordered some meat skewers and other things that were recommended to me. The skewers were nicely seasoned and full of flavour. Came here with my bf for dinner on a Saturday night. We booked reservations assuming it would get busy but it wasn't. When we entered, it was strange that the host or manager didn't ask us to sanitize our hands before entering but nonetheless, we cleaned our hands. Macau Style Pork Bone Hotpot Soup: On the menu, the description said pork bones and chicken feet but we were surprised that it came with a lot of delicious vegetables like carrots, daikon, corn, leeks and bean curd sheets. The soup was so flavorful that we really didn't need to make our own dipping sauce which was an option that you could do at the self service station. The vegetables were tender and naturally sweet. There were 5 huge pork bones and a ton of chicken feet which were very meaty and tasty. (5/5) Boneless Beef Short Rib: We ordered a plate of this to dip into our hotpot. This was very tender and delicious. (5/5) Spicy Beef: We ordered a plate of this too to add to our hotpot. This was tasty but quite spicy for me and a lot more leaner. (4/5) Baked Mixed Vegetables in Tin Foil: In this dish, there were black fungus, napa cabbage, lotus root, chinese mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, tofu puffs, bean curd sheets and glass noodles which everything was delicious. My favorite were the fungus and lotus root because they weren't overcooked and still crunchy. (5/5) Overall, food was delicious. Service was alright. We did have a few complaints and the first one was that we thought it was strange that they allowed us to make our own dipping sauce at the self service station especially during this pandemic and they didn't advise us that we had to wear our mask but we did it anyways. The next one was that, on the far side in both of the private rooms, they allowed the rooms to be filled with gatherings of 6 people which we thought the government has made restrictions on gatherings except for people of the same household. The finally huge complaint was that when the people in the other rooms got up to make their own sauce, they didn't wear a mask! Even if they weren't talking to each other, it was the fact that they are breathing over it. The waitress who was at the cashier till didn't even say anything to them. She also forgot to put back her mask on after chatting with her friends at the table when she came to us with the credit card machine. Oh boy! What a night of bad protocol this restaurant was showcasing. After that night, we will definitely not be coming back (sadly) until the pandemic is over because the food is extremely good. read more

The people who took our orders were extremely rude and didn't even acknowledge us most of the time we were at the restaurant. We waited forever for our order to come. The food is also mediocre at best. We waited at least 30 min for our vegetable platters that never came. The restaurant was not even half full. That says a lot about this place. Yum! This place is newly opened. It's interior is really beautiful and stunning. They are similar to Landmark hot pot but the prices are lower here. The quality here though, is higher. The tables are really pretty and they even have red napkins. The food is spectacular! We had the hot pot and some skewers as well. Both types of chicken wings were delicious! The broths were very flavourful and authentic. We ordered a spicy broth and a wine chicken broth. The wine chicken broth came with the raw chicken cut up on the side, presented beautifully. The hot pot items were very clean and of high quality. They have a sauce cart with every kind of condiment you can think of! Things such as cilantro, garlic, onion, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, even soybean paste! And it is unlimited so you can help yourself. So nice compared to other hot pot places. The presentation of everything is absolutely striking! Very pretty and makes you feel like you're dining somewhere special. They're having a special promotion right now where you get a FREE CRAB if you're dining here for the first time! And the owner (I think his name is Victor) is really nice. They'll even give you coupons for when you come back again. I definitely recommend this place and will be coming back! They accept card as well :) and there's parking outside.
