    Chocolate pudding + rice pudding.
    Jeff Y.

I used to frequent the Spires in Tustin growing up, going for their dinner specials, and although prices are much higher than 20 years ago, the dinner specials are still phenomenal value. For ~$20, you get soup, salad, choice of bread, one side, main dish, AND dessert. The portions are MASSIVE as well. For a Friday, we ordered the New York Steak as well as the Salmon (the two choices for Friday). The clam chowder was a bit too thick for me and not that hot, but I enjoyed the vegetable beef soup. The salad had very fresh and crisp lettuce, and the homemade French dressing was interesting. The garlic bread could have been more garlicky for my tastes, but the coleslaw was refreshing and the steamed vegetables were in a light savory broth. The salmon and steak were also both tasty. I really enjoyed the rice pudding for dessert, though the chocolate pudding was very aerated and too salty for me. Food aside, service was friendly. The interior is a bit dated but is cozy and warm. Parking in the lot was easy and the restaurant is stand-alone in a polygonal shape just like some of their other locations.

Traditional American coffee shop. Low price price and attentive service. I had a fillet of sole which is quite good.

I've never had an issue with any Spire's. They offer weekly specials and their food is good. The biggest unfortunate thing is the pricing has definitely gone up a lot (which is common) and their portions have got smaller (which is common). I went a lot to another location before since the hours were different and it was closer before it closed down. With the pricing and portion size, this location sadly isn't worth the drive.

First time going here, but unfortunately I don't think I'll return. It does t take much to impress me when it comes to food, but I was definitely disappointed during this visit. I had the fillet of sole with fries. I figured it's one of the favorites since it was advertised on the window. The fish tasted funny- like it's a frozen fillet, and the fries were soggy when I asked for it to be extra crispy. The place is reeking with floor cleaner, which smells like a county building. The service also wasn't great, the girl didn't get my order right and forgot to return with condiments. I did like the dessert (rice pudding). Please step up your game! I know you guys have been around for a while, and I'd like to see old fashioned businesses stay in business!

It is Sunday 6/7. I am seeing dining rooms open at many restaurants including Denny's. Is this store's dining room open yet?

Not yet since I went there Saturday, June 6th. Sign says pickup only. Although, I've seen two men there each time I've picked up breakfast. Maybe they're the owners?

When I came to the location, parking was readily available. The restaurant itself is quaint, and we waited about 5 minutes for a table. It's clean, minimalistic, and no-frills; few tables and no AC. The prices were very affordable and reasonable. Even with such good prices, portions were large and food came out quickly. The food wasn't too memorable, but my biggest gripe with it was that it differed from what was advertised on the menu. We ordered the French Toast, which is supposed to be topped with nuts, blueberry sauce, powdered sugar, and whipped cream. Surprisingly, it only came out with powdered sugar. This was very disappointing. Even if the price is great, the items being advertised should be what is served. As for the Eggs Benedict, which we also ordered, I thought the taste was lovely. However, I fail to see how this establishment-food and service-wise-differs from a typical American breakfast chain.

The Raised by Wolves cocktail is a tried and true cocktail. If you like a bit of spice, order this one! I also tried the ube cocktail this time. I was hesitant when I saw it come out as a candy blue looming drink. But it tastes creamier than it looks. And not as sweet as it looks. It's decently balanced. Looks like melted snow cone. The last time we came here, what made me take a star away was just the over all price and service. Cocktails are $18 and that is really steep for an every day kind of cocktail. If I'm paying $18, I'd like it to be a special occasion but this isn't exactly that. It's elevated but not that much. And service from Daniel was good. He checked in on us just the right amount of time. But mannnn that personality is a flat line. Hostess was cheerful. Ambiance is pleasant. I just can't really justify the cost here for what it is. It's a love hate here. Maybe I need a second job to support my wants.

Was fun to watch the hustle and bustle (and not-so-hustle of some). Hopefully this gets addressed soon. I'll note, my server didn't check on us a single time. We were out of water and coffee by the time our check was dropped off. I will say, facing the back, I did see her (and other staff) go to the back and chew their gum, touch their phones, and drink their drinks without washing their hands and coming back up front (also a health violation, btw). So I ordered some coconut shrimp for an app . Which were ok . And then we ordered a whiskey salad which was good ànd I ordered my tomahawk a medium well which I was splitting with my girl . So we finished our appetizer ànd salad . Ànd no steak yet . Ordered 2 more drinks finished them and nothing . Then I notice a couple that came in 25 mins after us getting their steak and I was questioning myself like where is mine . Then another couple that came in 45 mins after me got theirs . So then I was concerned ànd call the waitress and asked Whats going on she was very defensive telling me medium well takes longer that medium rare that's why they got theirs before me . How is that possible when 1 couple came in 25 mins after me and the other 45 mins after . So then the manager comes and tells me they cook the medium rare first then the medium well . So let me get this straight i had to wait 45 mins for someone to arrive so they can cook theirs first . It doesn't make sense . As management she shouldn't lie or cover up for anyone else mistakes or lack or work performance. On the contrary she was defensive and thought it was ok to bring a steak after waiting 1 hr and 15 for a steak after it was ordered . She came after I ordered a box to go If I wanted a free desert .
