My movers, Max and Eldar, arrived on time, were courteous and listened carefully to my needs for my hand painted furniture. They first wrapped the furniture in plastic, then a blanket, then plastic again. There were a lot of items to move but they were hard workers and got the job done quickly and with pleasant conversation along the way. They unwrapped the furniture at the other end and placed it exactly where I wanted, rearranging other furniture as necessary. Everything came out perfectly, not a nick or scratch. they really know what they're doing. The original quote I received by Kevin was honest and very competitive and there were no surprises with the final bill. I am disabled so money is precious and the big national moving chains were quoting outrageous amounts. It's nice to know there's still Mom and Pop's out there that pride themselves in an honest day's work for an honest day's wages. Highly, highly recommend. Stefan and his team were very friendly, efficient, professional, and respectful. They were punctual with their estimated arrival time, and communicated well throughout the whole day. They were also great with any instructions given. They loaded up all of our items onto the truck quickly and efficiently. They took great care of our items, nothing was damaged during the 35 mile drive and move. We moved into a third story apartment and they were just as fast going up all the stairs moving everything into the new apartment. Called a week ago to schedule a move. They only use text messages to correspond. I requested a specific date and communicated all week with the owner/manager. Today I attempted to communicate to verify no hidden charges. I was told I had no confirmation only a quote and they were booked. Then he added "people with common sense would know the difference between a quote and a confirmation". Well, educated people, like us, also believe that if you only respond by text and acknowledge the cost and date, they're booked! Either way, all you educated and no common sense folk in LA, do not trust all the 5 stars every time! People get arrogant and take consumers patronage and money for granted. Use a company who speaks to you respectfully and treat you the way they want to be treated. Moving is stressful enough! Thank goodness we have time before the weekend to find a more reputable company. With this kind of tone and attitude I am not sure they woukd have shown up. Just be careful when dealing with companies who expect a business transaction to be done by text only with hundreds and thousands of dollars being spent! read more

The guys over at Splendid did a good job - I dinged them one star for being late according to the original appointment time, but they offered up a small discount for the trouble. What I did like about them is how responsive they were when I called or text. I think it would have been worse if there was lack of communication, but overall they did a solid job! If you're looking for qualified movers to pack or load your belongings, "Splendid moving is the Best!" The people care and will treat your goods like their own. This is the first time we used (into the 3rd floor) It wasn't easy and our some furnitures were large, heavy and had glasses furnitures but they boxed very carefully. They were efficient careful. I am so sorry I forgot their Name but the team did great job together. we had 2 guys and a truck and at the end owner also helped them I glad we found them through one of my friend and i searched them on yelp. This company deserves it's Top Rating. After contacting at least a dozen moving companies... I was fearing they would be expensive then I asked one my friend and she provided me his number and I liked their price better than others.
