Always have excellent service and food here. Its very clean and the food is delicious. They also play pretty good music too which is an added bonus. Was there last night and they were playing alot of 90's R&B. Spring Shabu Shabu is buffet style. You pick out your broth. The tables seat 4-6 people. So each person gets their own cooking station. They have 5 different broths to try including a spicy broth and a pork bone broth. Next you select your meats. Seafood, chicken, pork, and beef. You can also just skip that if you are vegetarian. Plenty of veggies to cook. They got a spread. Veggies I didnt even know existed before they got it. You also have all types of dumplings, fish cakes, tofu cakes, sausages, crab meat, you name it. They have ramen, udon, green tea flavored noodles, rice noodles, soba noodles, and bowtie pasta that they make home made. There is a sauce station. You gotta experiment a little bit cause of the sauces have extremes (really spicy, really salty etc etc) Prices are pretty good. Haven't spent more than $20 per person without alcohol. They have a beer, wine, and sake bar but not a full bar. They also have a ice cream machine which I haven't utilized yet. They stop taking people around 9pm so get there before 8 to avoid problems. And as annoying as my party was for switching from spicy pork broth to regular, the waiter was very kind and accommodating. Come here for lunch and save a ton of money on the flat rate and meats! My party of 5 had an order of lamb (FAV!), fatty beef, ribeye, and seafood. Our meal came out to $18 a person! My only negative is that there's a 90minute time restriction. Came here on a Saturday with family for lunch. Price was just under $14 per person. There was a short wait for a table, but it wasn't long before we were seated. The buffet is predominantly vegetarian with a few meat items such as fish balls, eggs, and dumplings. They do have items such as sliced lamb, rib eye, and seafood available at an extra cost. Besides veggies, there was also an assortment of noodles available. There was also a section where you could mix your own sauce or try their own premade "Spring Sauce". Also available was ice cream for dessert. Overall, I feel this can be a healthy and refreshing alternative to many other hot pot places out there. I absolutely love this place. I've converted almost 15 people because I just can't get enough of it! I come here at least once a week but usually twice a week and I pig out every single time. I get the regular dashi broth because I like to customize my own broth and also create my own dipping sauce for the side. What I really like about Spring Shabu is how you can choose exactly what you want to eat. Whether I want 1 piece of lettuce or a plate of mushrooms, I have all the options right in front of me! I usually get a fatty beef because you need to eat them with the spinach noodles. It's a life changer if you haven't already tried it! They have 3 types of fish balls with roe for those who like them. There's a little white one with green specks and orange roe. It's alright. I really like the yellow one with yellow roe. It is so delicious! They also have a white one with pink roe inside that everyone I know loves but I put it on par with the orange roe one. I really wanted to like this place. How could AYCE (All You Can Eat) buffet style hot pot go wrong? Veggies and ingredients looked fresh, nice wide selection of items, etc. HOWEVER....something didn't settle well in my stomach. I admit that my stomach tends to be pretty sensitive, but I had two others with me who I would say had stomachs of steel, and while it didn't hit them right away, within 24 hours they too felt like their stomachs were off. This is probably my favorite place for hot pot. Although I think the quality of the meat is better at Little Lamb, you can't beat the value, service, healthiness, and overall experience of Spring. The base soups are all extremely healthy. I prefer the spicy pork but take out the chili peppers to make it less spicy. Most other hot pot places have too spicy of a base. I also love their signature spring sauce. It's lighter tasting and not as salty as the standard shacha sauce. I also like getting the seafood platter. The first time I got it, it was delicious, but the second time not so good? Not sure why. Love that they have eggs and ice cream. This is an experience for sure and good to bring those unfamiliar to hot pot because you get your own pot, it's healthy, and they can always reach for broccoli, kale, cauliflower, and spinach (even though the experience is better with the leafier vegetables). Not sure why but I do know some people who prefer the other hot pot places but this is my favorite so far. Also this is Korean-run and you'll see a mixed crowd here that is more on the Korean side. They have all other sort of food like noodles, fish cakes, and more, is not only veggies there. However the service isn't that great for me. I love coming here for AYCE individual hot pot so much, I went twice in one week! I'm pretty sure that's nothing for some people, though, lol. But if you're looking for a hot pot that specializes in veggies, this is definitely your place. Getting to Spring Shabu Shabu (SSS for the rest of this review) is a bit complex if you haven't been there before or if you are meeting a friend there: if you're taking the elevators (2nd floor), you're going to have to walk all the way down in the restaurant (passing all of that yummy food!) to reach the host station. It's awkward, but I'm assuming that's what happens when you have 2 entrances... And if you take the stairs, the host station is simply there when you reach the top. Lunch (11:30AM-3PM): $10.95 Dinner (3PM-10PM): $14.95 / $16.95 (Fri-Sun) Then you add extra $ for your meats/seafood - which is definitely worth it, but if you're all about veggies, SSS is, too! So depending on what you order, your meal could be about $15+ ... For meat lovers, you're looking at $20+. Definitely worth it. For your soup bases, obviously go with the pork bone. But if you're going the anti-pork route, go with the fish stock. If you think your broth is too bland, throw in your sauce (which you can make yourself with a variety of ingredients) and voilà, more flavor! And then proceed to eat to your heart's content! And unlike other AYCEs, if you don't finish your food, SSS won't charge you. I'm not saying to be wasteful, but this is a good thing to know when sometimes you just can't eat that last bite. This place has been my go to spot whenever I crave for Shabu shabu with fresh veggies and meat. One time I went there for 3 days in a row in one week. That's how addicted I was. Their soft serve Ice-cream is out of the world. It reminds me of the ice-cream truck you get during summer time but better. They have both Vanilla, green tea and mixed flavors. Their veggies are fresh. One of my most favorite is their handmade Spinach noodles. They are so fresh and taste like heaven. Their selection of sauce is good too. The only thing I don't like is the wait time. It's normally between 30 to 40 minutes on weekends. It is the only reason I don't go back as often as I want to. The plate of seafood has a decent amount, considering how little they give you in terms of sliced meats. Unfortunately, the atmosphere here is super hectic and uncomfortable. Kids are always running around and caused a woman to drop her plate once. Service is incredibly slow (unless you're non-Asian - then they treat you like you're a VIP guest) and waiters can be incredibly rude. They don't have as many options for veg and sides laid out for lunch (super bummer) so if you really like the roe-filled fish balls or enoki mushrooms, go for dinner. I love going for weekday lunch because the price is very affordable $11.95 (but $15/pp with tip + tax) (I get no meat because it's not worth it for me, personally). I always get the dashi broth and start off with a full plate of greens. My favorite are bok choy and watercress, but I get a varied selection according to my mood that day. I proceed to my table and go onto get another plate for all the others like tofu, sausage, dumplings, noodles, squash, etc... For my sauce, I start off with the Spring sauce as the base and then add spicy mustard, Sriracha, a bunch of cilantro and green onions + whatever I am feeling that day. The service is always prompt and efficient here so no complaints about that. Tea and water is free (yas save that money yas)! However, the wait time can get a bit long (once I had to wait around an hour on Monday/non-holiday for lunch)-- so plan accordingly! I'm not a huge fan of Shabu Shabu but this place gets me to go from time to time when someone I know is in the mood for it. What sets this place apart from other Shabu Shabu places is the free reign it gives you to customize the meal to what you want it to be. First you pick a broth (Fish broth, pork broth and you can add spice to either) and a meat or a seafood which is optional. I get the clams as I am a seafood fan and it is decent. Some of the things it offers and things I typically get are: Cabbage, Kale, other greens, rice cakes, fish cakes, noodles (of all kinds), rice, corn, tomatoes, mushroom, potatoes, sausage, dumplings, onions, baby corn. They also have a large variety of options in the sauce bar where you can make your own sauce to complement your meal or just get the pre-made Spring sauce. I typically just get a mixture of everything with a little bit more of the spicy ingredients as that is my preference. The sheer variety and freedom Spring gives you is the reason I continue to go and I must say I enjoy my meals there even though I'm not a huge fan of Shabu Shabu! TIP: At the end of your meal, get the giant spoon and fish out all the things you didn't eat. Get some rice with some scallions and sesame oil. Put the rice into your broth and boil to make some delicious rice porridge. I have been to couple of corean restaurants and this is the first time I see a hotpot place where you can actually pick your own vegetables and make your own soup... starting with 3 base broth, like meat, fish and vegetable then you go to the vegetable station where you pick your own veggies and trow them in the pot along with either protein like chicken, beef or seafood... basically you boil the veggies and proteins in the pot and drain them and place them in your plate and eat them... it's kind of plain but if you add sauce to them( by the way they have like 12 o r more different sauces) it makes a pretty good meal... I could have given a 5 star review but they only have couple different beers and wines .. not variety but it's actually fun to prepare your own meal. I would definitely go back soon ;) read more

This hot pot place is very nice. It is a buffet and the prices are very cheap, I believe lunch is around $13 and dinner $17. It is a great place to eat when you are really hungry. The service is fine and the employees are helpful when you need something. The only thing I don't like is when you have to pay money when you want meat or seafood. To add on, when there are cheap prices expect frozen food to be there. I'm pretty sure the food isn't fresh because the fish balls and other foods were frozen. Even when my friend ordered meat, she tried to pick just one up and all of it was just stuck together. Don't be surprised if the food isn't fresh, you get what you paid for if you don't like it, just eat the noodles there. Meats were extra and I initially wanted to be strategic about it by not ordering any meats. I believed, correctly, that the vegetables, balls, and tofu would be more than enough to fill me up. The party I dined with ordered meats regardless, so I had a chance to taste some of them, too. The broth itself is not as flavorful as Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, but was passable. The sauce station had an interesting array of choices. Wish there were more dessert options, but for the price, really can't beat it. Service: this place shined in the area of service. My cup was always filled with tea, my empty plates were taken away quickly, and waiters are generally attentive. Decor: someone decided to make minimal changes to Nori Nori, which had a great formula for a buffet. However, this place could use a much better ventilation system for steaming hot pots.
