This is a great place to stop if you're looking for some comfort food. Daily specials. Pros Reasonable prices Amazing service Healthy portions Near the highway Plenty of parking Large biscuits Cons Gets really busy at the register Closes early A diner feel with food and service. Stop in for lunch or grab it to go.

Recently stopped in for breakfast and truly enjoyed it. The sausage had a nice sage flavor and the over medium eggs were cooked as I like them...form whites and a runny yoke. The biscuit was good and processed was 11 for the meal plus a drink. A good option if you find yourself on the south side of Greensboro.

I come here every Friday for their special. Now they are re-opened on Monday too. The staff are super nice, food is good and also great price. Truly is the best breakfast place in the area. Although they are always packed but food is still served fast. Veteran and first responders friendly, they also have vegetarian options too. The new management is really put in the work and they are nice people. Their biscuits are the MUST try!!!

Fried chicken, squash casserole, mashed potatoes.

I ordered fried chicken, squash casserole and mashed potatoes with biscuit and sweet tea! Yum yum!! Service was fast and friendly. This restaurant has been around for years but has recently changed owners. The menu is basically the same with some new specials added. Food was good and hot!

I've been to many breakfast spots in town, and this one is a great hidden gem. I ordered scrambled eggs, cheese, and home fries with a biscuit. The food came out really hot even at close to the end of breakfast. You don't get that with a lot of these places. Most of the time the biscuit is cold and the food is lukewarm. the eggs scrambled just right and potatoes were nice and crispy squares on the outside and soft on the inside. I will definitely be back.

This place is in a strip mall and is pretty basic looking. It also cost my daughter and I $12 to eat breakfast here! I mean are you kidding me? That's like a venti frappuccino these days. You seat yourself which I kind of like. There is like 3000 waitresses scurrying around having conversations and dealing with various things. There is a ton of energy in this place. Based on conversations, several of them are locals. Give this place a chance. Food is great and I seriously can't believe the bill which also came on one of those green order taker notepads from the 80s. Nostalgic.

Let's talk good ol' home-style eating!!! This restaurant is family owned and the employees are very loyal. They have been working here for years which says a Lot about the business. We arrived at 6:02am and the small restaurant was almost full. We were greeted with a hearty Good Morning and found our table. I can tell the wait staff really enjoy their jobs. They Smile and have a good time at work. Our food was HOT and Delicious!! When I left I could've slept in the truck because I was too full. They are only open from 6a-2p or so....but definitely work it. Thursday's Lunch is Fried Chicken....Very Yummy Friday's Lunch is Fried Flounder....again Yummy. They never disappoint!! A full and satisfied And long-time customer!!!

A good alternative to Carolina Diner and a little more like home cooking. The biscuits are great and the servers always friendly.

On a Saturday afternoon, I was in Greensboro and in the mood for some good pretzels and a draft beer, and this hit the spot. Old Town Draught House has a very old bar ambience, without feeling worn out and dated. I love the old dark wood throughout the building. They have a pretty broad draft beer menu, along with normal bar offerings. I was happy to see multiple sour beers on the list, because that's exactly what I was in the mood for. There's no table service, and it is seat yourself, but the bartenders were very attentive, and it was never difficult to place an order at the bar. We ordered a few beers and decided to get deviled eggs and the pretzels as appetizers to share. Food came out very quickly. The pretzels were pretty good, but I've had better elsewhere. Rather than being crispy, they were soft and a bit soggy, but the flavor was great. The beer cheese was on point, although I would've preferred a spicy brown mustard over yellow mustard. The deviled eggs were a bit of a letdown, because it was just a hard-boiled egg cut in half with a little bit of sweet chili peppers and dressing that tasted like 1000 Island on top. When I think of deviled eggs, I anticipate the egg yolks being removed, mixed with a few ingredients, and piped back in. For what was basically two eggs cut in half, the six-dollar price tag was steep. Overall, we had a great experience, although I would likely choose different food options next time. The bar staff were great, the beer offerings nice, and the ambience was a good vibe.

Dodging a huge rainstorm we decided to sit at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We sampled a beer or two before deciding on a couple suds and the poutine appetizer while we decided on the main event. The place was fairly busy and they do have a decent outdoor patio also. It's a chill, hole in the wall, neighborhood watering hole type of place. We chatted with a few locals and my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some great beers on tap including several from Foothills brewery and also full liquor bar to send a few rounds for any occasion. I settled on the Mad Haddock (I know who orders the fish at a burger place) and my lady had French onion burger. The deep fried asparagus was a playful side that was memorable. We both really enjoyed the choices. The fries could've been more crisp but overall they were passable. The haddock sandwich was incredible and that tartar sauce was incredible. The sandwich was one of those that you don't put down after a few bites. I enjoyed the food, friendly service and conversation with locals. They recommended a bottle shop connected to a laundromat not far away but we had to get back on the road. If you are in the Greensboro area Hops is worth a stop for happy hour, lunch or dinner.

It's a great little restaurant with a fun atmosphere and great music. We started with the Fried Goat Cheese Balls and the Fried Cauliflower, and both were excellent. The goat cheese balls were crispy on the outside and creamy inside, while the cauliflower was perfectly fried and packed with flavor. I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger special, and it was phenomenal. Juicy, cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of heat and all the flavors you'd expect from a great jalapeño popper. Easily one of the better specialty burgers I've had. They also have a great beer and wine selection, which made it easy to find the perfect pairing with our meal. If you're traveling and looking for something far better than the usual fast food off the interstate, Hops Burger Bar is absolutely worth the quick detour. Great food, great service, and a place we'll make a point to stop at again the next time we're passing through.

The tuna was fresh, flavorful, and overall the dish tasted great. My only critique is that there was hardly any quinoa. When I hear "quinoa bowl," I picture something more like a rice bowl where quinoa is the main base -- but this felt more like a salad with a small scoop of quinoa. Still good, just a little misleading name-wise. Drinks were solid, staff was nice and friendly, and service was smooth. Total came to $57.94, which felt a little pricey for what we ordered, but not outrageous for the area and waterfront location. Also worth noting: they are not pet-friendly inside, so keep that in mind if you're out with your pup. Overall -- great food and good drinks, just slightly pricey and the bowl name set different expectations.
