So many fun flavors for donuts! We definitely always get a variety when we order; it's a very treat yourself special work occasion treat. I really like the matcha donut and I always love more classic things like vanilla frosted w sprinkles or fritters, glazed. So they have all of that plus the more fun creations and coffees. I swear, the nicest people work here. I mean, I'd prob be super happy surrounded by donuts every day, but then I'm sure my ass would be huge, so maybe not? Anyways, they're always super patient while I try to coordinate the wants of multiple family members, and are always open to giving suggestions. I was disappointed I could not get a real cup- rather than paper- for my coffee and also that they only offer donuts. Yes I realize the name but many 'donut' shops also offer other pastries . While the interior is really nice and pretty, the apple fritter was just okay. There was a lot of space to sit and it was nice to sit and watch by the window as everyone else was drowning in the rain. The apple fritter was disappointing because it didn't even taste like apples and it was burnt. Dunkin' Donuts has better apple fritters for half the price and it has a an apple filling. What's so great about the donuts here? I just didn't get it. I had a lemon pistachio donut and it wasn't that flavorful. Perhaps I should have tried another flavour? If I was in Chicago again I wouldn't seek this place out as it's not that much better than some donut shops here. It's a chain so you can seek it out if you'd like. I stopped in for a breakfast sandwich after my appointment and realized I should've made a different choice shortly after ordering. No greeting from the cashier, just a head nod like I was interrupting her day... The two cashiers were not enough staff to keep up with the long line that arrived after I ordered. My sandwich sat waiting to be cooked while the cashiers tried to figure out an online order. Shortly after I received my sandwich I sat down to eat no realizing I would have an audience of three patrons that were clearly not customers, but rather loiterers. One took up an entire booth that could seat 6 people. He and his belongings covered the entire booth while he listed to his own personal radio very loudly. Meanwhile, the other two patrons shouted profanities at each other and stared at me... which was super uncomfortable. Needless to say, I ate quickly and left immediately afterwards. You'd think this place could afford a security guard considering that my tiny croissant breakfast sandwich and small drip coffee cost $10.28. We didn't dare ask how many calories was in it and this way we only gave in to temptation 50%! Haha! Very cute atmosphere with chic pink furniture and coffee signs through out the space. Went here for the first time the other day. I've eaten Stan's donuts before that people bring into meetings, but I've never actually gone into the store and bought something myself. They had a ton of unique, fun donut options that all looked incredible, but I ended up going with the classic glaze donut. I was not disappointed. It was super fluffy and fresh, much better than grocery store bought or Dunkin' Donuts. I also got a latte and thought it was good as well. Nothing that remarkable, but it's a pretty basic drink. The restaurant is super cute inside with lots of pink accents. This one is a really big too in comparison to the other Stan's donut storefronts I've seen in the city. The size allowed for a good amount of seating and my friend and I were able to get a table without a problem even though there were a lot of people. Overall, it was a nice place to grab a cup of coffee, fresh donut, and catch up with a friend. read more

Awwwww. :/ This is my first time at this brand new ultra lux mag mile Stan's. I gotta say I am beyond impressed by the interior design. CHRIST!! This is Sistine Chapel quality. If the Sistine Chapel were became a 90's punk rock and EDM playing, hipster donut spot with deep sexy pink Chicago insides. I'm sweating already. Come in for the ambiance but you may want to wait until they solidify and reorganize the staff. As with most of the new spots on the mile it takes a bit of time for the fresh faces to get the hang of the hustle and bustle of DT CHI. These are peeps from all over the city and sometimes folks aren't ready for the volume. Unfortunately though, some people are just not cut out for service at all. It's the company's job to figure that out and quick, otherwise they could end up the next Mag Mile Flop; note permanently closed TopShop/ TopMan. Long story short the young lady at the front added to the frustration of myself and another waiting patron, who waited with me when we had to knock for the staff to open the doors past 6AM opening. Yo, straight up normally I wouldn't care but they knew we were out there a while, looked at us but waited til we knocked. Stan would be appalled lbs. Anyhoo, I love Stan's so I trudged in reluctantly. I was rung up and received an underdone Biscoff that looked nothing like my usual. :( Then the young lady forgot to make my espresso and another woman asked "Do you need anything why are you standing at the register?". LOL! She didn't mean anything by it, I hope. I wasn't even the only one who got a side of mistakes with his order. Smh. Anyhoo, overall I'm chocking it up as a bad morning. I mean was Sunday. Stan's is outstanding as a brand but they'd better get it together. This is primetime Chicago. This won't fly for long guys. Give it a few months or so though. This will be the perfect relaxing adult alternative to the wacky Nutella shop and the frenzy of shopping you can watch from the windows in your instagram worthy pink throne seat, sipping your no mistakes espresso and donut. While washing my hands someone turned the knob and tried to enter I was fed up! I exited the restroom to find it was Ms. Do You Need Anything. I just stared at her puzzled and shook my head waiting for a response, as they do not have gender neutral restrooms. Instead of a response I got a blank stare. Then she opened the restroom door looked inside and came out. Why was she so set on entering!? I have to believe it was because I was the only face of color there. Just being honest people. Correct me if I'm wrong Stan's PLEASE! This was Sunday and the shop was full of white haired octogenarians and blond/blue moms with their Galt Babies and American Girl dolls. I was definitely the odd man out. Ugh, please get it together Stan's on Rush! I love Stan's and, for a change, this experience put a bad taste in my mouth. Amazing donuts and coffee!! I ordered a cookies and cream donut with a small latte and both were incredible! The donut tasted very creamy with a good hint of oreo-like flavor. I ordered Stan's through Door Dash for a group breakfast at the Marriott on Michigan Avenue. So here are my general thoughts. The doughnut presentation of indulgence is spot on. You look at them and you are overwhelmed! The challenge is for those over the top doughnuts is the translation to taste. As someone who doesn't eat doughnuts I asked for feedback. The response was "Meh". To be clear, when the box is opened it's "OMG" but we had a number of half eaten doughnuts because they are just "too much". The other thing to point out is when you have food delivered to a hotel you need all the accoutrements that goes with them, like, you know, napkins. NOPE, not a single one. Now I will say $30 for a dozen ok doughnuts is a lot, but they did accidentally give me two dozen - so that helped. read more
