***BEWARE STAPLES GIFT CARD USERS!!!*** My girlfriend and her family have been a loyal Staples Customer, especially AT THIS LOCATION for more than a decade. They never have any problems with supplies and copy center. BUT TWICE WITHIN THE LAST 4 MONTHS, THE CASH REGISTERS LIED ABOUT THE REMAINING BALANCE OF THE GIFT CARDS AND TRIED TO KEEP IT FOR THEMSELVES. DONT FALL FOR THE TRAP, ALWAYS ASK FOR YOUR CARD BACK! The first time, a male cash register swiped a new $50 gift card on a basket of $20+ worth of items. After printing out the receipt, he said there were NO REMAINING BALANCE on the card, and slid it underneath the counter for himself without asking if she wanted the card back. Even when she questioned him about the balance, he INSISTED that there were no remaining balance. As she was walking out the door, she looked at the receipt above "Total Items", it stated "Card Balance $23.51". She went back to that register and asked for the card back and HE GAVE HER A DIRTY LOOK AND SIGHED before giving the card back. Just today, a female cash register swiped a gift card with a balance of $15.55 on a $1.35 item. Just like the previous incident, the cash register insisted that there was no remaining balance on the card, slipped the card under the counter, and never asked if she wanted the card back. My girlfriend didn't need to look at the receipt this time before asking for the card back. Similar reaction, she hesitated before giving the card back. Good thing they gave her the cards with the actual balance, and not some used up gift card with $0 left. But SERIOUSLY, I wonder how many times those cash registers have successfully stolen other customers' gift cards!!! With these two separate incidents, it makes me think these cashiers are trained to steal gift cards.... shame on this Staples location! read more

I came in to purchase some trash bags and when i went up to the front for check out i ask the girl if she could enter my rewards number she said sure. She does it and says it doesn't match. I have work previously for staples for 5 yrs and told her how to do and received excuse after excuse that if you give me a phone number is really simple. I'm giving you my rewards number and you can enter it up on top. And give her my rewards and ask that she enter it the for my rewards but because I know i have lousy service i ask that she enter the number. Extremely rude manager! We found a laptop at a different store and were told that the Chino store had 3 left in inventory, so we went there. We first talked to a lady, asking for the specific laptop we wanted, but was not on display. She asked her manager who in passing by said that these laptops were sent back. We started to leave, when my daughter turned back to ask if we could take a picture of the laptops details and price so we can make sure we can find the same model and get a price match at a different store if possible. The manger treated my teenage daughter very rudely and disrespectful. Yes she is a teenager, but she was politely asking for that information. The manager responded by asking her if she had a phone, she said "yes", he said "then it has Google and you can look it up, it's HP x360 and you'll find it" then he turned away from her and left her standing. Good thing for him, my wife and I weren't there, this could have turned out very unpleasant for the manager. Not only did we have a bad experience attempting to buy a laptop, we will definitely not go back to this store. I went ahead and ordered my Christmas cards here despite our last experience because we are closest to this location. We had another issue this time. Half of what I was ordered was given to me. Needless to say, when I noticed the error half way home, I was not a happy camper. I had all 5 kids in the car, the one year old was screaming and the two year old was crying. We went back in to get the second half printed and they realized they were out of the paper to print them. I will be completely honest, I wasn't the nicest customer. Joshua handled me quite well. He remained professional and calm and went above and beyond with his solution. I leave for a business trip tomorrow and really wanted to build gingerbread houses with the kids before I had to leave the following day. Joshua had the remainder of our cards delivered and provided a full refund along with a hand written note. I am an operations manager that works for a large consulting company and work with people across the country. This has left me completely speechless. This was more than good customer service. This place use to be my favorite business supply purchasing place until they down graded and changed managers that come zero experience in customer service. Veronica the so called manager on staff today seriously, has no idea how a return works ! I came into return a wireless key board that had not even been opened, the cashier who truth be told looked new but at-least tried assisting, they opened the key board to check that everything was completely to then tell me oh we can't return it when he clearly said he found it in the system. She said oh no we can't return it I said it's ok if you only give me store credit and she's like no. He knew his duties well and also treated me with the utmost respect. I always try to buy my office supplies online, but I had to recycle some ink cartridges. After waiting in a lengthy line, I approached the cashier and handed her my ink cartridges. The cashier explained that their rewards system was down, and I could not get credit. The cashier had no idea when the system would be up and running again. I have never encountered a manager who has gone above and beyond for me like John the manager from Staples. I wish I knew his last name. A chair was ordered accidentally incorrect for my son to start distant learning. I was able to catch the error the next day before it was shipped to my house. Then the package went missing. To spare you the long story it was a three day ordeal and John never made me feel as if I was bugging or a bother to him. He even gave me a discount always smiled and was friendly every phone call. Needed some print outs for my daughter's birthday and I will say they are really fast when it comes to orders. They finished the same day as I ordered and the quality came out nice on 100lb paper and the price is inexpensive per printing for me, well I cannot really compare as I don't print that often. It was easy to order online at least. Sometimes it takes a while for someone to help you pay because they are busy with people there and it can get pretty busy but I didn't wait long. Not much else to say or really have any complaints, was easy to go in and out. Friendly service. Oh the paper cutters they offer for you to use are horrible. Just don't even bother. I didn't see an option online where they can cut for you on specific margines, only the margins that they specified. read more

This review is limited to an experience I had with Tiffany, in the Print Center. Let me begin by saying that Tiffany is amazing and a great asset to Staples. She is extremely helpful and friendly. Moreover, she is extremely competent and one can tell that she truly cares about her customers and their tasks at hand. I came into the store in a rush, the last minute before Valentine's Day and needed to resize photographs of my two cats so they would fit into a heart-shaped locket. It was a precision job and she was just as perfectionistic as I am. She was also very patient and accommodating as I told her I wanted the faces and busts to be in the center of the locket space. She did a great job in my big rush and delivered the goods! I'm hoping she is adequately commended and compensated for her customer service and Print Center talents... read more

Don't even bother to go this location. I asked for color printing job for next day pick up. They charge me over 90 dollar but pages seems way too thin. They charge by job so total 6 job for 92dollars which is fine if i got what i asked for. I told her its way too small than what i expected and she said its expensive because that took her all day long to editing. I found out they only did 5 jobs and charge me 6. I asked lady work there to print what I've missing. And now i got home i found out they stop printing middle of chapter. I have to go back tomorrow. The two girls in the printing area who are supposed to be there to HELP PEOPLE PRINT are exceptionally rude. One is an assistant manager- FIRE HER!! second time coming to this location to get paperwork printed for my business and before I even approach the counter I can see the agony in there eyes. My spouse said, why is that girls staring at you like that? We are talking about the woman with eyelashes behind the counter!! Rolling her eyes before I even approach the help counter! They were not trying to work- yes you with the long eyelashes and the other girl with the blue hair! I asked them for the San disk to transfer files from my computer to theirs to print (I called corporate and they agreed that this is very much an option for printing services at Staples). The lady behind the counter, with her sour, bored face wanted me to email everything to her and come back when I recieved a confirmation email BUT the wifi at the location wouldn't connect. She basically wanted to help as little as possible and we could tell. So there I am standing at the counter while they both busily try and find something else to do and I am trying to figure out how to connect and get things sent HER WAY.. but I couldn't and at this point was to uncomfortable and turned off to ask for further help in connecting and getting my four little pieces of paper printed at a print station! Lol! The irony! I finally just slammed my lap top closed and left. Not sure why she decided it was her way or the highway, but from the other reviews here I can tell it wasn't just me who had a hard time with her. If I'm walking into a staples it's because I need additional support to take care of something, not because I am trying to be annoying and bother someone. It is there job right, to help people get things printed in the printing department? If you hate people and your job, maybe this isn't the place for you and I hope someone higher up than them reads this and makes some adjustments, because this isn't the way a store should be ran! Trying so hard to be positive, but it's challenging to do so when it comes to this specific Staples Copy & Print center. Time after time I have had negative experiences here. They need to have more staff available to help customers. They don't seem to understand they're supposed to help the customers. Actually, I feel sorry for the staff who have to face the wrath of angry customers. The Manager should schedule more staff. As a side note, the store is filthy. I have time to notice the dirt and mess because my print order isn't ready and I'm sitting here bored silly. Although this store (Chino Hills) is close to my home, it seems I'm better off driving to Mira Loma. The Store on Limonite is the best. In a routine bind familiar to most computer users, critical job and ink runs out. Unable to walk so tried placing my order for curbside pickup but their website gives no option for that method even though the item I needed is in stock. Called the store direct due to being old and having no patience for having to read through a laundry list of this and that and options on their website. Best they could do was give me an 800 number, which when called merely advised me that my account could not be located. I ordered the cartridge I needed from Office Depot, it will be delivered tomorrow, not ideal but much more doable. Won't be bothering with Staples again, apparently their customer base is wide enough that they don't need to bother with streamlining their procedures to actually make ordering and delivery a simple process. read more

Last time I was in, I was checking out and the manager on duty came up to the cashier that was ringing me up (and doing a good job of selling me added insurance on a chair I purchased) to hand her a list of her weekly "non-compliances" and asked her to sign it...um, EXCUSE ME? That is inappropriate timing. I totally understand the company's direction on following policies, but to embarrass an employee (and to embarrass a customer witnessing that) and to take the cashier away from the customer service (that they are also surveyed about) is not excusable. This cashier has rung me up plenty of times. She is pleasant and seems to like the job. I'm sure she makes mistakes. But these discussions (and they SHOULD be discussions, not "Sign this sheet saying you did not comply.") should occur out of sight of the customers in a respectful and learning tone!!! Shout out to Jezekiah, I'm creating my first yelp post.... lol (better read this!!! hheeh) This staples has some awesome and incredible staff! Yesterday my niece told me that she got a new phone as a trade in and completely got a new phone at no out of pocket cost! Even earned an extra $20 credit to spend in the store. Anyway, so I went in there today to do the try to upgrade my phone along with my husbands phone and the store supervisor Jezekiah completely exceeded my expectations in terms of helping us out. Because of him the normal $199/phone upgrade +taxes and fees for an iPhone 5s came out to nothing. We even made an extra $30 credit to spend at the store. Now I can finally purchase an ink cartridge. LOL I highly recommend going to STAPLES vs your normal AT&T and Verizon branch if you are no where close to Chino. I would always go to the actual dealers to upgrade because I thought they would give more incentives. This branch completely changed my mind. Chino/Chino Hills along with neighboring residents if you're due for an upgrade I highly, highly, highly recommend going to this branch. Also they will honor trade -ins even if you are not do for an upgrade and they will give you exceptional and phenomenal customer service. I'm extremely ecstatic and satisfied with their outstanding client service I'm literally writing this review just an hour after getting out of the store. Thank you for taking care of us. read more
