I was quite amazed at how moist it was! The tenders come with two house-made sauces of our choice. I tried the Thai Herb Aioli and the Korean Seoul Sauce. Both of these sauces didn't really appeal to me. But, that's okay because the chicken didn't really need it. I mostly dipped my fries in the sauces for more flavor. This location was in a strip mall on Owens Dr. Their menu sandwiches, salads, tenders and nuggets. They had five sandwich choices and a new one which peaked my interest. I love Italian food and I decided to get the Chicken Parm sandwich. The large piece of crispy chicken was topped with provolone cheese, marinara sauce, fresh basil and a roasted garlic aioli. It was very tasty and this Italian take on a chicken sandwich made it unique. I would order this again. So we went right around lunch time. 12:10ish. The place is pretty busy. It isn't a large restaurant. There are probably 4 or 5 4-tops and 6 2-tops in the restaurant (I might be off by 1 or 2). And there are more tables outside. When you walk in there are 3 ordering kiosks and also a cashier taking orders. They have an interesting soda machine and also some lemonades. I didn't try the soda, but I mixed the regular lemonade with their mixed berry lemonade. It is very good. I would have mixed it with some tea but so many people were in the stores that they are crowding the drink machine area. I don't want to bother asking someone to move. We tried the hot Nashville sandwich and the sweet Thai chili tenders combo. My kid really likes the hot Nashville chicken. I really like the slaw that came with the combo. It's not heavy like kfc slaw, it's more vinegary which is refreshing on a really hot day like today. The size of the tender is a bit strange; they're on a tiny side imo. But they threw in an extra one so I guess that's how they make it up, The mango habanero sauce and the Korean Seoul sauce didn't hit the mark for me. The mango one was very sweet but not enough heat. The Korean sauce has a smoky taste to it but it wasn't anything special. Both sauce tasted one dimensional. I don't know how to explain it better. The tender was cooked nicely, the breading was crispy and the chicken overall wasn't dry. The sweet Thai chili was as expected. I think overall I would rate it 3.8. I chose 6:30pm on a Monday and received a text that my order was ready at 6:36. I ordered 4 piece Nashville hot tender box, 12 wings, and truffle fries which ended up being ~$45. Nashville hot tenders (4.5/5): not really spicy at all. Fairly large pieces of tenders and they were still crispy. I liked the seasoning on the tender. It was sweet but still had a good tang. Pleasantly surprised here. Definitely better tenders than Dave's hot chicken. I thought it wasn't as salty as Wingstop as well.the tenders weren't try either. Truffle Fries (4/5): good truffle taste. It tastes similar to the truffle fries at Roam Burger. As other reviews have said, it was a bit soggy by the time I got home. They would definitely be better fresh. Also not too salty here which I appreciate. Garlic Parmesan Wings (3/5): 4/5 crisp even though it was takeout. However, the flavor was lacking. It had a very light garlic Parmesan taste compared to Wingstop. Not that salty too. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back and trying to eat at the restaurant. The garlic Parmesan wings were disappointing flavor wise - I'd probably order one of their wet sauces instead, or stick to the Nashville Hot or Blazin. Tenders were a good size and had good flavor, while the fries were good for being soggy. I'd say Starbird could be a good alternative for Wingstop & is definitely better than Dave's Hot Chicken. Great food and service! We ordered through the tablet similar to shack shake. I had ordered the chicken parm sandwich, Starbird 2.0 and truffle fries. The chicken parm was SO GOOD and I loved the slaw on the Starbird 2.0. I would recommend getting the slaw on the side since the juices were dripping a lot. The chicken sandwich itself was so crispy and flavorful. The truffle fries were just okay but I like the sauces it came with. We honestly loved the food so much, we came back the next day and the general manager Manuel remembered my partner. He was so sweet and helpful! I've had Starbird two days in a row. So far I haven't had a bad chicken wings experience with them. I got the lemon pepper chicken wings. Inside of the chicken was moist with a crispy outside. My wife loves their Elote Chop Salad and Crispy Thai Brussels Sprouts. The location I went had lots of parking. They had two ways of ordering inside the restaurant; you can place your order via kiosk or the register. The wait was not long. Food was fresh. Can the customer service was good. This Starbird Chicken location is good, but not great. I ordered the 4-piece Thai Tender box, with an extra French fries, and it cost $19.81 including tax. The tenders were medium sized, moist inside, golden brown outside, and were garnished with crispy shallots, a sweet Thai glaze, and a spicy herb aioli. All those garnishes made for a colorful presentation, and they were pretty tasty. The fries were good, but seemed like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. They didn't have that fresh from they fryer taste or sizzle. The service was alright, but I had to hunt someone down when I had a question about redeeming a credit on my account. I absolutely love Starbird! I have never been a wing lover, but this place takes the cake. I wish I would have taken pictures of my wings, but I was too excited to dig in! I have had the Buffalo style wings with blue cheese dressing and the 12 piece is enough for 3 meals. I don't much care for the tiny drum sticks, my favorite are the flats. However today 4/12 we ordered our favorite chimichurri wings for delivery and received garlic parmesan in place of it. We thought it was just a fluke, so we ordered it again. To the point where when I found out that it was opening up in my town, I was not that excited. However I needed to give it a chance. Service: Outstanding. I ordered the masala street fries and it was great! The service here is quick and I appreciate the worker calling out my name loud enough since I was seated away from the delivery shelf. My second order was the Indian hot bird and it was overwhelming with a lot of flavors and messy. I don't recommend getting these two orders together since it can be overwhelming with the spices. I don't know anything about this place, and I hadn't ever been to a Starbird before. But I've now been back three times. Give it a shot - maybe on a Sunday when the other place is closed. High quality food, good service, and a clean environment. I wish they didn't require a phone number for every order, but you can use the cashier instead of the kiosk to avoid this. First time coming to Starbird. It was a Sunday afternoon and though it was getting busy, it was more exciting than discouraging for us! Upon walking into the clean and modern space, there were 3 self serve kiosks and a friendly staff member at the register. I tried the cobb salad with crispy chicken. The salad was huge and I could fresh, quality ingredients. They didn't skimp on the chicken pieces! My boyfriend got the star bird crispy chicken sandwich and he said it was a solid chicken sandwich. The sauces were good and the fries were great. Starbird is also a part of Gift A Meal and it was nice to be able to pay forward while eating there. A solid addition to the local upscale fast food scene. I came right at noon, so it was very busy and food took a little longer than I had expected. Still, pretty well organized and efficient for only the 3rd day open. I had the 4 piece chicken tender combo which included fries and coleslaw (or you can have all fries or all coleslaw). The fries were nicely crisp when I first got them, but since they appear to be freshly made with real potatoes, lost a lot of the crisp by the time I got to my destination to eat it. (So you just have to eat more out of the bag while in the car ). The Star sauce is very similar to Chick-fil-A sauce and the buffalo sauce very Tabasco-y as one might expect.
