I've been to the Starbucks many times and they're pretty consistent in terms of their service and the quality of their coffee drinks and breakfast items. At the end of the day, it's Starbucks. Depending on when you go, it will really dictate what kind of service you'll end up with and whether or not your custom drink is going to be done properly. This location used to be a Dietrichs coffee, which Starbucks took over several years ago. I felt that Dietrichs coffee was for true coffee connoisseurs, which I'm not, so I know that a lot of people felt the pain when Starbucks took over that shop. But I'm glad because I get to get my favorite breakfast items like the spinach feta wrap. And during the holidays they have the yummy peppermint coffee drinks. The one thing I don't like about the Starbucks is where the location is because of the parking. Aside from that I think it's nice to have one so close to home. But if you don't like where this one is located there's always one right down the street at the Ralph's which is conveniently located. read more

This use to be my favorite Starbucks. Everyone was so nice and was eager to make sure you were happy. I feel like this is no longer the case. First, the staff is STILL super nice. They are all fantastic greeters with energy every morning and night. My big issue is the drink quality. Within the last year I have time and time again ordered venti lattes that had so much foam they might as well have been talls. On several occassions I have caught it right away and asked them to fill the drink. Keep in mind, most of these drink are $4-$5. I don't want $2 worth of foam. I would say half the time I ask the drink to be filed it liked asking the world to be put on hold. Several times I have left and not realized the issue until I am back at work, at which point I can't do anything about it. Its very disappointing. read more

I don't normally write bad reviews but this Starbucks has gone way down hill in the last year. They use to have such a great staff which included this really sweet lady that would greet everyone as they came in and to boot she usually remembered the regular's orders, including my own. I very much looked forward to going in. Now no matter what time of day I go in, it's like I am troubling them by asking for service. On numerous occasions they are too busy setting up mobile orders, which I totally get, that they don't stop to do the in house orders. I ordered Oatmeal once and it took 10 minutes to get it. Didn't have trouble putting out two oatmeal on the mobile side. The last time I was there, I was literally the only person waiting for a drink. They continued to put orders up on the mobile side and I finally made eye contact with the guy who took my order. He looked at me and with more than a hint of attitude asked, "What are you waiting for?" "My drink, dude. The sole reason I came in here?" I understand things can get busy and I am sure mobile customers are probably buttheads if their drink isn't ready for them when they come in but don't forget the people who like going in the old fashion way and expect a smile and decently fast service. read more

Flat whites were okay but a bit bitter. Very doggie friendly - there was a pair of THE most adorable Yorkies sitting outside who were greeting each of us as we came up to the door. If only they could be the official SBux ambassadors all the time! This location is extremely busy and I anxiously awaited it's completion of remodeling to see how they addressed the lack of seating, and the lack of waiting room at the pick up and mobile counters. Well, they completely dropped the ball. There is even less seating. The table tops are barely bigger than a dinner plate and accommodate only one person. Most of the tables they do have only have one chair. There are some tiny wicker barrel seats that only a five year old would sit on. They didn't add any electrical outlets or any USB ports. On the other hand, there's a community bench for those brave enough to sit next to complete strangers and share their illnesses, family vacation photos and political views. They did add outside seating but, again, the tables are extremely small and the chairs are very uncomfortable. They also greatly expanded the counter area, but at the expense of reducing available seating room. It's very clear that the remodeling had one purpose: to discourage people from sitting and enjoying a cup of coffee while reading, working or socializing. For the last 15 years this place has always been a place to mingle and hang out. Now, it is just a fancy drive through. Starbucks obviously put its own needs and profits ahead of its customers. I personally love Starbucks and I'm hooked on their ice coffee! It's so good I believe it should be illegal but that's a whole different story. My go to drink is an iced coffee with cinnamon dolce and easy ice. For some reason a lot of the staff not this one but other locations mixed up cinnamon dolce with coconut milk. So I can tell this is a good Starbucks since they know how to read their markings. Always clean, super fast ,and super friendly! This Starbucks gets five stars from me! read more

One young fella asked me if I was from the East Coast, because i asked for Skim milk over Fat Free. *chuckles* I used to live here in the OC, but now I just visit on occasion. They're happy to customise the drinks for you, so that's good. I like mine at 140* vs the 160 that most heat up to, which makes it easier for me to drink. I usually have a good experience in the afternoon at this starbucks, but i came in at around 6:30 tonight (i am a partner keep in mind i also work for starbucks at another location in lake forest) and the night shift guys here were so rude and the dude let the sticker for my food item sit there for a good 8 minutes while he was a foot away from the machine and was very blatantly ignoring it and was using his phone. I don't think there's been a time when this place doesn't disappointment me. Since I started a job here right above the hill of this Starbucks all the times I been to this location is nothing but disappointment. Of all the times I been the drink is either wrong or not done correctly. However, recently I had a frustrating situation. About 2 Friday's ago, I had placed my order when I got onto the 133 in hopes it would be ready by the time I picked I up right before work. The estimated time was only 7-10 mins. I placed 3 separate orders so I could earn the star bonus. Right when I walked in the gal said it was not ready. She said they are running behind 17 mins. Okay so this means I'll be 17 mins late to work? Absolutely ridiculous, she didn't apologize whatsoever, made it seem like it was our fault that it was 17 mins late? So I asked her how could I cancel the order, she spoke fast I couldn't even understand her and just as I walked out the door 2 food items I ordered were ready, so I decided to wait. Another customer walked in and this time the worker says they're 22 mins late, how is this acceptable at all? So I waited another 5 mins and my drink was finally ready. Because they were late, I was late to work. There's a ton of workers at this location and yet they're still super slow and can't ever get anything right. Absolutely ridiculous! read more

They know me as Victoria and I swear this is my favorite place to go I would live here if I could the staff always always alwaaaayyyysssssss has my drinks ready and I always get a plethora of drinks across the board my wait time is always short even on their busiest of days I stop in 2-3 times a day and they have never gotten my order wrong my coffee is always on point I can't point out just one of you because every single barista here goes above and beyond immaculate service my drinks are bagged and ready and my extra flat lid for my drinks always available like they really make my day so much better!!! HEALTH CODE VIOLATION AND INDECENT EXPOSURE! This just happened: Worker is at the machine making a drink; coworker comes over, lifts her shirt and rolls deodorant on one of her armpits. Then, she moves on to the other armpit. All while at the machine making drinks. Her belly and side fully exposed from her shirt being lifted while her coworker is applying the deodorant. I am unsure if her bare belly was touching any surfaces while exposed. This Starbucks location is one of the slowest in the area. I've waited around 20 minutes for an iced tea. I think this is more of a management issue since at that time, there was one employee working the cash register, the shift manager I'm guessing seeming to be counting something or doing some kind of inventory by the cash register, and only ONE barista actually making drinks. I felt bad for the barista as she was alone, clearly swamped, and one of the two employees should at least have been helping her since there wasn't even a line once the wave of people ordered. I saw others who had placed orders before me still waiting for what I would guess to be around 30 minutes. If you placed a mobile order, I'm sure you'd be fine, but I definitely wouldn't come in if I was in a hurry. read more

A co-worker brought me coffee this morning only for the delicious contents of the caffeinated beverage to be tragically lost in the heartbreaking car door incident of 2017. I brought all that was left of the fallen soldier, a soiled cup and a photo of the massacre to this Starbucks and told the barista Jesse my story of woe, displaying the evidence. This complaint is regarding the poor customer service that I received today and many other times at this particular Starbucks (SB) location.  I am finally complaining about the service because it has taken its toll. As a customer service manager myself I found this service at this location to be repulsive in comparison with other SB locations.  The employees don't greet or make eye contact with customers when they are taking their orders, and they don't even call your name loudly when its ready so the drinks just sit there, particularly with mobile orders they do not update you. The overall service is absolutely revolting, especially whenever they make or give the wrong drink.  I've never received an apology or accommodation instead I've felt feel like an inconvenience for speaking up, and I have seen multiple customers return their drinks or complain while waiting for mine that I know is going to have issues, its shocking how often they screw up and don't care. I've been a Starbucks customer for over 25 years, and at this point, I am considering switching to Coffee Bean because SB is not what it used to be. I would be a bit more understanding if they were super busy, but they were not, including the last times that I have been there but today not only were they NOT busy but the service was despicable. I went in to order two drinks around 5 PM; a venti,  blonde, quad, soy chestnut latte with six pumps of syrup and a Venti blonde quad toffee nut cappuccino, wet, complicated I know, but I took my time to make sure the barista got the orders right especially since I was the only person in line. Afterward, I waited on the other side thinking that they would be ready promptly. Four more people ordered after me and they ALL got their drinks except for me...I watched the barista waiting to make eye contact so I could ask about my drinks, and I could tell she was avoiding eye contact, and she walked away to take more orders...this made me furious. I was waiting there patiently for 15 minutes, and this barista makes everyone's drinks except mine? I know my drinks are long and annoying, but it's their job.  One of the customers even asked me how long I had been waiting because I ordered before him.  Five minutes later we look, and there are two drinks on the counter, no called out any names or drinks, the customer asks the baristas if they are his and they ignore him. I stand there with this customer reading through the drink options trying to figure out whose drinks those belonged to, hoping that they would be mine, they were his. The barista who took my order noticed I was still standing there, so she asks the other barista making drinks if she has made my drinks yet and she says she doesn't shes just making drinks...she walks her over to the register and shows her the stickers -  it was clear they were not working as a team. I finally get my drinks, and as soon as I left the store, I realized that my order tasted horrible. I returned with others to have my order fixed but barista who made the drinks was gone, so the other employee scribbled on the cups with her pen without any names, which was the issue to begin with, as the first employee did making drinks and leaving them on the counter without names or calling out the orders .  I asked her for the name of her coworker, and she replies "I don't know" ... What? I said, "you work with this person for 6-8 hours, and you don't know her name?" I cannot believe how someone can work with another for over eight hours and not know their name or have the audacity to say lie or not care, idk which is worse. This is where I drew the line and immediately asked her to go and find out her name for me.   I couldn't believe what I was hearing, is this a joke?  That just shows the lack of proper training and professionalism at this location. Something was going on between those two employees, and the tension was super obvious it affected everyone's mood and quality of service.  Whatever training the manager of this store is teaching their employees is mediocre, those two kids wouldn't put their differences aside to ensure the quality of service which includes making the customers their priority not just pumping out drinks like mindless monkeys.  I am distraught and bothered by this experience I came to SB to end my day well with a fresh cup of coffee, and instead, it ruined the rest of my evening.  My 7 dollar coffee tasted like a $1 gas station coffee.I gave them negative 10000000 not even 1 start. read more

The employees here try hard, but they seem to be constantly hampered by a lot of unnecessary circumstances and drama. Yesterday at prime commute hour, the app said they weren't taking mobile orders "but a barista would be happy to make your drink in person." I went there and they were CLOSED. Today I was able to order on the app, but no warm or hot food -- apparently their ovens are all broken. When I got there to pick up my order, it was the usual crazy, uncoordinated, inefficient mess. Slowest, most incompetent barista's i've ever come across. I waited over 15 minutes for an iced espresso, and they even made my drink wrong (americano)!! I asked a man who was also waiting, and seemed like he was a regular if this was normal, and he said yes. ps- there was no line at the register, 5 people working, 2 on bar, and about 10 people waiting for their drinks, while 3 older women watched the two younger ones make drinks. read more

I'm surprised that upon searching Starbucks, I see such low ratings. I rarely have any bad experiences with any Starbucks, with the exception of one visit at another location. It almost makes me really sad that they have such a low rating here, because I find that the employees are very sweet and friendly, especially at 5AM. I think for the most part, Starbucks management, at many locations, hires the right people. I've never returned a "how are you?" only to hear "eh/not good/terrible." They always seem to be perky and happy.. and whether they've got to fake it to make it, that's how service should be. I visit this location about 3-4 times a week, lately anyway, for the gingerbread latte. Like many coffee aficionados, my order can be a pain in the rear. I'm sure I'm not to the extreme though.. tall in grande, double, extra ice, sub molasses with caramel. They're always really friendly when doing so. That's the name of the drink making game. Everyone has their preferences. I've experienced my fair share of nasty servers giving me crap for customizing my drinks and meals--I have yet to experience that here. There's ALWAYS, ALWAYS one lady (and I say lady, not by age, but I would feel rude to call her "girl") who greets me in the morning (I'm assuming she's early shift manager) and asks me about my day, week, etc. And even when I don't like to talk very much at 5AM, I appreciates that she takes the time to ask.. Now, whether she genuinely cares or not.. Who cares? It's business, you gotta fake it til you make it. With competitors everywhere both internally between branches or externally with other brands, it's the little things that matter. I can't speak for the afternoon or night shift, but the morning shift does it right. For those who complain about the wait and deducting stars based on that.. How is that their problem? I get it, people want to go in and get out, but if you're coming in during rush hour, expect to wait. That's beyond their control. read more

I travel throughout Orange, LA, and San Diego county and this is by far the worst Starbucks that I have encountered. The female manager that works the AM shift is rude, unhelpful, and seems generally annoyed that you decided to stop at her location. I have seen numerous people pay for drinks and leave without them due to the poor service. Unfortunately, I live less than a mile away, but I'll be finding an alternative soon. What prompted me to write this review is the fact that I requested a drink to be made a breve and was told that she would leave room on top for me to add cream. Morons hover around the drink counter immediately after ordering (because drinks come out that fast) and your staff refuses to call the names out, so it's impossible to tell when your drink comes up. Awesome service from Morgan this morning. There was a customer in front of the line that was taking way too long to order delaying every ones drinks. She attended to the customers needs while being conscious of other people in line making sure everyone got their drinks in an orderly and efficient fashion. Being pressed on time I was contemplating leaving but Morgan was able to help everyone out and make sure that our drinks got going and came out quickly.
