This was an average Starbucks. There were a lot of gnats flying around the display area near the foods, which almost made me not order. I decided to anyway. I had the ham and Swiss croissant. It was good, but towards the end it started to have a funny taste. The closest thing I can compare it to is soap maybe. I'm not sure. They are clearly understaffed (not the barista's fault), but 25 minutes for an iced coffee is unreasonable, and that's not counting the time in glacial line before we ordered. While I understand that managing an outdoor space can be challenging, it is disappointing to see the frequent presence of individuals who appear to be struggling with addiction, homelessness, or intoxication occupying the outdoor seating area. This situation can be uncomfortable for customers who wish to enjoy their beverages in a peaceful and clean environment. It would be beneficial if Starbucks management could find a solution to address this issue, such as increased security or regular monitoring of the outdoor area. Inside the store, the tables often require more frequent attention. There have been instances where I have found them to be sticky or unclean, which can be off-putting. Given the high traffic this location experiences, it would be beneficial if the staff could allocate more time and effort to maintaining cleanliness throughout the day. A clean and inviting indoor setting would greatly enhance the overall customer experience. The alcoholics, drug attic's, and homeless that hang out in front of the store can be easily remedied by having management, call the mall security, and have them removed or calling the local police and have them removed. While staying in Austin, I visited this drive thru several times a week. The line always looked daunting, but moved quickly. All the workers wore masks and were friendly without lingering with small talk and delaying the line. My drinks were made perfect with customizations each time. Placed a mobile order and the store apparently didn't receive the order. I inquired and verified that the location was accurate which it was. I showed the cashier my receipt and he wrote the order from the digital receipt. When I got to my car and tasted my drink, there was expresso in it that I didn't ask for. The barista corrected it when I returned to the store. My husband chai latte had cinnamon syrup when it should have been dolce cinnamon sprinkles. We were too far to return to the store for them to correct that drink. They were basically 0 got 2. Maybe they had the B team in, but I'm glad I don't have to frequent this location. read more

But I do have to say the barrista Patrick just seems like he does not want to be there and his customer service is lacking and made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted like it was such a burden to be off his phone & take my order. We moved offices from Lamar to the east side so we were kinda bummed there weren't any Starbucks close by. This is the closest location to us and although this location is quite small I'm happy with how they made my drinks! I usually order the nitro over ice in a venti with light cream and I saw the tall friendly guy making it top the rest of my cup with more nitro. Thank you! You made my day! read more

I stopped by for coffee on my way to a meeting at the new nearby corporate campus of ORACLE. I arrived early, so could sit and gather my thoughts. This is a fairly new Starbucks and there is quite a bit of space inside to sit. I remember this area of Austin used to be pretty rough, but new businesses are moving in and the character of the area is changing. I think that's a good thing. read more

Drive through is unusual and narrow and when I accidentally passed up the microphone and drove up to the window I thought it wouldn't be an issue. I love this Starbucks! It's the best one in Austin. The baristas are friendly and work with urgency. I'm never waiting long for my order to come out. The lobby is spacious and the couch is THE most comfortable place to sit. Gender neutral bathrooms are a win and the store is usually very clean! This is by far the WORST Starbucks location I've been to in Austin. I've recently moved to this side of town and each time I've been to this location I've not been satisfied with the coffee. Each time I've ordered any type of drink my drink has tasted disgusting as if the milk is expired or has been sitting out too long. Each drink I've gotten has a gross bitter taste to it.
