Coffee is OK, but only 2 stars due to lack of customer service. There were 6 of us in line, and 5 baristas behind the desk and not one of these KIDS would acknowledge us. Today was a bit unusual, and perhaps it was the dynamic of these group of kids working in the morning shift. Perhaps they were not awake? It's not a bad idea to say, "Welcome! We will be with you in a minute." It really isn't difficult to shut the timer off and still greet your customers at the same time. Show some friendliness to your customers. read more

This is the first bad Starbucks experience I have ever had. Brought my family for a stop to get a little pick me up for the drive home to San Diego from Disneyland. First there are four of us so yes our order is a bit long. The gentlemen at the register was an older man who was very kind. There was a young lady working as the barista, she shouted about one of the men working needing to go on break. She also kept shouting the items that they didn't have and couldn't make. Her tone took away from the Starbucks vibe you come to expect and love. When we received our drinks she made them incorrectly and when we told her she had attitude and checked the side of the cup (I perceived this as her attempt to point blame) where it was written correctly she just made it wrong. She then grabbed the drinks Threw them from where she was standing into the trash. You heard the drink hit the trash as the other one hit the floor. She left it there on the floor and just continued. At that point we were all just stunned, took our drinks, said thank you and left. read more

My new go to Starbucks in the area. It's close to home and it's in a really cute plaza. The only downside is that it can get pretty busy, especially in the mornings before school and work. However, the baristas are very efficient and my drink doesn't take forever despite the long line. read more

This was around 1-2pm..Bad awful service! I was next in line and the cashier keeps looking to help another customer to the right of me. I guess he is new, but dude..at least say "I can help whoever is next in line." "Hi sir what can I get you?!" Now that's customer service! read more

I recently moved to Oceanside from Carlsbad. The Poinsettia Starbucks I would go to every Friday. I love the staff! JP is so friendly and though there are lines are long they really do a great job of getting everyone out quickly. We always get friendly personal greeting! Love this starbucks! This is my first time ever writing a review, and it's because I jut had to say how great the baristas here are! I had my little girl with me and they were so patient with her when she ordered herself a "grande ice water", writing her name with a cute smiley face and heart on it. She was so excited about getting her name on a starbucks cup! She then knocked that water off the table, and the girls were so sweet about cleaning it up and didn't give off the slightest bit of annoyance. As someone who has worked in customer service for years, I know how difficult that can be, so I really respect them. It's always clean an in order, and even when they are busy, they are still on top of it. read more

Pretty gross. Do not put your food or hands on the tables inside. Dogs use them for seats. According to the manager, it's not a restaurant, so it's aok. I'll go back to mobile ordering and just pick it up from the counter. read more

First of all let me say that I usually love Starbucks. However, I went to this Starbucks location and I must say this was more disappointing that it basically SUCKS! I ordered to go a venti white chocolate mocha with 7 pumps, extra hot, and with whip cream. I grabbed my cup and by the time I was driving back home (too far to turn around), I realized that they basically made me the worst drink. First, it was a tall drink in a venti cup that was filled up with whip cream in order to make it appear that it was filled up. The drink was mixed and tasted horrible. If you order from this Starbucks make sure you actually inspect and taste the drink to make sure it what's you ordered and meets your expectations or just don't go to this one. This Starbucks needs some serious training or re-training or quality control! read more

Being a 50 year old woman I've been all over the United States to many many different Starbucks. And I find that this one location specifically time and time again always has a long line and an unbelievably long wait for a cup of coffee with a shot of espresso. Once I'm in line I timed my wait and it was 14 minutes for a cup of coffee with a shot of espresso in the coffee. That allows plenty of time to assess the situation as why there is such a long line and a long wait for coffee? First off, two cashiers as nice as they may be after ringing up your order turn and actually make your coffee drink if it's if it's not too complicated and it doesn't require the barrista. Second, there is only one Barrsta making coffee drinks! This seems to be where the problem lies. And last, because I asked for a cup of coffee with a shot of espresso and 2% milk steamed extra hot, while they're allowing the milk to steam, they're also multi-tasking and making other orders. Which is wonderful. But, the problem is once the milk is done steaming, they continue on making orders that came in after me while I'm still waiting for them to complete my coffee drink. I've noticed other Starbucks they will allow the milk to steam , bring it up to the correct temperature and then pour the steam milk into my coffee along with the espresso and set my coffee drink on the bar and I'm good to go. Not at this location! Because it gets so distracted with multitasking they completely forgot about the steam milk sitting on the bar ready to go. Literally this morning I sat there and waited and watch six other customers with six other drinks get their order after me and walk out the door! My issue is why does it have to take so long to get a cup of coffee with a shot of espresso all the time when I come into this location? And the other problem is if you're going to start or coffee drink finish the task complete the order and set the coffee drink on the bar within a reasonable time frame so I could leave. Make the coffee or beverage drinks as they I ordered. If someone is waiting for a drink make the drink and give it to them and make the other drinks that come in there after and so on and so forth. Because this is such a busy location with the Beach Community and retirement community across the street and the demographics of this location. They need to have an extra barista and extra employees for filling drink orders and food orders. Because so many retiree regulars coming in there, the employees will fulfill the regular customers orders sooner than someone else's order that they don't know? I've been there many times where I've watched a customer coming after me and received the coffee drink before me even though I was there 10 minutes prior still waiting on my own coffee? I understand we all have customers that we know and we all have favorites, but that's just unprofessional and not very nice. I have called corporate on many many occasions regarding this issue. I'll talk to management there and they told me the reason they're such a long line is because they either have a car show or the kids are in school or the kids are out of school. So obviously management at this location is aware of all the activity in the area yet it's not intelligent enough to plan accordingly the shift schedule to have more employees in place for the activities that are planned in this area? Very poor management very poor planning I will not be back to this location anymore I've given them many many chances and they just can't seem to get it right. If you want to play favorites this is how you lose customers. They need to learn when you start a task or you start an order finish that task and then move on to the next order or the next task. I love all the people that work at this location! They are all so welcoming and they are so happy which is hard to be especially in the morning. Juan, peter, and john are all three the nicest guys I have ever met. They are all so genuine and happy and enjoy making people days better one cup at a time ! I ordered 4 items. When it came to the white. Hotplate mocha the woman telling the cashier named Adam hot chocolate. I had to correct her a few times before I was able to just correct Adam and the problem was fixed. Then when I got my 2 food items here comes a blueberry muffin and I ordered a blueberry scone. Now I'm usually not one to be very picky on minor mistakes but when I repeated myself multiple times to this woman and she cut me off everytime to ask or say what's on her mind she could have "heard" me and done it right. I told the batista making coffee's if he could please let them know I wanted a scone not a muffin... he was busy but he heard me. Once I had my drinks in hand and it was slowing down for him I got his at talent ion again and asked if they were warming up my scone and he with honesty apologized and yelled it out to get it immediately taken care of. I also had to use their restroom while I was there and I have to admit it was the dirtiest starbucks facility I have even been in. Disgusting and dissapointing to be honest. Don't usually frequent this one and probably won't be back. It gets 2 stars cuz Adam was great and even tho the guy making my coffee forgot to get the scone going earlier he was at least genuine about his mess up. read more

My experience today was less than par at this location. I went in at approximately 10:10 am and ordered a grande blonde roast and the double bacon sandwich. The sandwich was great, the customer service was fantastic and speedy despite it being a peak busy time. My problem? My coffee was burnt!! I don't understand how a place that specializes in coffee has burnt coffee? It's like going to the theaters and getting burnt popcorn. That's ridiculous. read more

We regularly come here for our coffee and chai needs. It's one of the closer Starbucks to our place so we are usually here at least a couple times a week. The staff is very nice and helpful. They always get our order right and make the drinks splendidly :)! We will definitely keep coming back to get our regular cups of caffeine here. read more

Staff seems to be flaky at best. The 1st time I went in there were 8 people ahead of me. It took a while for the 2 people working the counter to get to everyone. 1 was making the drinks for the 6 people already waiting to get their orders. And the other person was taking the orders. There was a 3rd person working ish. She was kinda floating around like she was trying to look busy cleaning up around the front counter. She eventually walked behind the counter talked to the person making the drinks and walked away. The second time I went in there were 8 people ahead of me and it wasn't much better. For some reason I went again the girl that took our order couldn't remember what we had just ordered. There were a few more people working so it went faster. Every time the coffees ordered were not made right. We always order the same thing and it always comes out different and tasting bad. read more

We are lucky to have this great Starbucks with friendly staff at our neighborhood shopping center. Chris B. (or was it Chris P.? Sorry!) deserves a gold star for his excellent customer service. He took the extra mile to help us out after a Starbucks account snafu. These days, it can be rare to come across employees who really care, so it was nice that Chris wanted to make sure we were happy. It's this kind of service that keeps us going back. This location always smells like a dirty mop and the staff always looks like they have never seen a hair brush in their life! The baristas are slow and it takes forever to get your drink. The one at the outlets is way busier and you still get your drink faster! read more
