We placed the coffee order on the app and within a few minutes the venti iced coffee was ready. There is a secret parking lot at this Starbucks which allows parking for Starbucks. It's on Broadway towards City Hall about three buildings before Starbucks. Don't try and enter off of Ceasar Chavez, as this is for residents only. Anyway, I feel this is a pretty well established Starbucks, being in Chinatown and known City-wide among the early shift of LAPD. Catering possible Metro bus commuters just adjacent to DTLA and maybe to some of the residents in Chinatown, this location is small and often overlooked for a quiet place for coffee and maybe a break. Tables are few, but most hours are rather light with patrons. Parking is also easily found inside the Jia Apartments with the entrance north along Broadway closer to Ord Street. If the parking arm is down, SB will validate two hours. read more

The place is always clean and well staff but few days ago as I'm seating there, this obviously homeless lady comes in and ask for some water, they were 3 girls working behind the counter, I see this homeless person asking for water and the Starbucks employee very politely telling her that they don't supply water without purchasing something. She literally acted busy just so she didn't have to help me . My guess was because I'm a black woman because she made sure she helped the Hispanic man behind me and welcomed him with a smile. I'm a regular here and I just have to give a shout out to the amazing staff who work here. They are all so courteous, kind, and patient. They go out of their way to provide great service, doing things like greeting every single customer when they come in or writing sweet notes on your bakery order. Additionally, they are literally hustling to get everyone their orders ASAP (trust me, it gets BUSY here). I was here on a Sunday morning at about 6:15 am to get some coffee before running the LA Chinatown Firecracker 10k race nearby. Per the usual, I placed my order on their mobile app, this time for a grande pistachio latte. I then went inside and waited at the left end of the coffee shop designated for mobile order pick-up. It was pretty empty inside when I arrived. There was only one other group, so the wait wasn't long. After getting my drink, I found an open spot at the counter along the wall to enjoy my drink. This Starbucks used to have good old fashioned dark roast coffee, but for the last several months I've been so disappointed. The coffee tastes like bitter water, and I have complained via store level and the customer service number. This location, Grand park, and Downtown Union station ALL stores coffee to water radio tastes horrible and the most expensive compared to other areas. For instance, when I commute to work in the South Bay Area they use the same coffee apparatus as the Downtown area but the difference is theirs tastes much like a good cup of coffee. As a coffee enthusiast and have spent lots of money at this location, I expect their coffee to taste better since Starbucks pride themselves on great quality coffee. My theory is the district manager is trying to score points with upper management by saving money pushing out disgusting coffee and overcharging the community and forcing people to buy specialty drinks instead of JUST good old fashioned coffee. I walk here at least once a week to grab a drink. The drinks are always good and the food is about the same. I always do the mobile order option , so I haven't really interacted much with the staff. That was what I discovered on my very first visit at this location and that's what the barista stated. Came here today because there is a public bathroom for customers and a place to sit while sipping on my coffee. The bathroom is somewhat of a hazard. The communal table only has power at one end of the table. All the small tables are in use with electrical outlets also in use. This place is not packed but it does have a constant flow of people walking in to order something. The parking is in the same structure with 2 hours limit with validation. That's if the ticket machine works. So if you cannot draw or pull a ticket, go around the gate. Outdoor seating also available since it's a bit warmer out today with a cool breeze. read more

Probably one of the worst Starbucks experiences I've had ever. I came here pretty late in the evening (maybe 7 or 8pm) because I was waiting for my Flix bus to arrive at 9:30pm and Starbucks was close and open til 11pm. When we arrived, there was three employees. My friend waited to give her order while one employee went to the back and the other two employees stood behind the counter and had a conversation. My friend stood there waiting for a good five+ minutes which is really silly given that no one was in line and the only reason for the hold up was a conversation. She finally did order though but her drink wasn't made properly (it was too sweet) but we didn't say anything because it would have taken longer. Later into the evening, another woman came and had to return her order because it was made wrong. The employee gave her a lot of attitude, I felt bad because I could tell it wasn't the customer's first language (English) and she was trying to communicate that they used the wrong milk and sweetener. Eventually, the employee (male) remade her drink but, once again, not without a lot of attitude. Additionally, the bathroom was dirty and had no toilet paper. When I inquired about toilet paper, their employees told me they had none and to use napkins. No emotion, just very matter of fact "yep, we didn't order any toilet paper so now we're out"...I stood there staring at them, expecting them to keep saying something and then she follows up with "you can grab some napkins if it's that big of a deal" read more

For seasonal the cranberry bliss bar, peppermint cake pop, eggnog latte, peppermint mocha and boss lady's all time favorite the ginger bread loaf.
