I believe the store pretty much has it all incredible service amazing location fantastic drinks what an eye-opening wonderful hump day experience I had here. I was having a real hard time picking it up. I could barely walk, but I came into the store. I had to get two shots of espresso with whipped cream and that got me started. I enjoyed the music I hung out. It was really easy for me to find a place to see myself but you gotta remember this place is popular in this neighborhood parking and seats come to premium, but the Starbucks is prepared to deal with that because they have a tremendous amount of it and I will tell you I can't believe how good these employees are. I LOVE this Starbucks. It appears to be a former Starbucks Reserve location, which is a slight shame because I've loved the Reserve stores I've been to in New York. But the benefit? It retains all the design and decor, and the broad, spaciousness that the Reserve location was built with. It's a great place to come, and I think I recognize a cohort of regulars that work, read, or come to banter here. I love that they have regular tables, outdoor, high-tops, couches, and a bar counter seating. I try to get a high-top because I have some back issues that can make sitting painful at times. And the employees are just all amazing too. They're helpful, they're cheerful, and I genuinely think they enjoy coming to work. The drinks are helpful to focus. I love the holiday-themed drinks. Roaming LA, we walked to this Starbucks and hungout soaking up the sunny warm weather on their beautiful patio while deciding on where to brunch. Our drinks came out quickly. The guy that took our order was the only friendly one at the counter. The girls working were annoyingly rude/loud. They were playing and conversing with one another and none of them paying attention to the register or the customers waiting to order next to us. I usually order ahead via app, but I was in no rush. This is a "Starbucks Reserve"...or so I thought until I went to the website and it wasn't listed as one. Being "Reserve", as far as I can tell means having a slightly expanded menu and a bit more of an upscale feel to the interior. All of which this location has, so make of that what you will. The interior is actually pretty plush, with lots of comfortable chairs, large tables and chairs around the bar. It's significantly more comfortable than your average Starbucks and looks a bit like an industrial loft converted into a café. I see a large number of regulars for whom this is, for better or worse, their office. Surprisingly enough, however the place is slightly quieter than your average Sbux. The staff have generally been kind and competent. I almost always order ahead via the app. On the few times there's been a mistake in the order it's been quickly remedied. Now, I've said many times: one doesn't go to Starbucks because the coffee is great. They go there because Starbucks is ubiquitous and convenient. If this place had better coffee and wasn't a huge chain it might get four stars from me. However, it is what is is: a Starbucks. But, at least, a pretty good one. read more

Pupdate! 3.14.24 The most Dog friendly Starbucks so much so that it can be called ** Dogs Welcome ** My canine child Betty and I were there recently when she chose the walk route. Well she led us straight to Starbucks. I asked if she could have a pup cup in celebration of her 12th BarkDay week even though I didn't order anything. And the team not only gave Betty a pup cup that very second but all wished her a Happy BarkDay! My girl loved that as did I. Today we went in for BOGO day. Christopher made my Dragon Drink and it was 100% perfect. I called the store to let them know. Honestly it's the little things that have the biggest positive impact. I hate, Hate, HAte, HATe, HATE this Starbucks!!! I live a ten-minute walk away and have the misfortune of having this be my local Starbucks. I normally go to the other, WAY BETTER coffee shops in this area-- Blue Bottle Coffee (best pastries!), Maru (the best coffee!), Alcove (best atmosphere!), or Mustard Seed Cafe (best breakfast! and awesome cappuccino!). We only ever come to this dreaded establishment if all the other coffee places are closed or too crowded, or if my kiddos want one of their too-sweet drinks like hot chocolate or the London Fog Latte. Well, we came here last night after everything else was closed and the wait at Alcove was too long. We sat in the patio area and I ordered our drinks on the app. My kiddo was in a class that lasted one hour, so I went to this Starbucks with my other kiddo to spend the time as we waited. At the 40-minute mark I ordered my other kid her iced London Fog Latte, so the staff would have enough time to prepare it before I had to go and pick up my kiddo. Well, 13 minutes later (I knew it was this long bc I ordered on the app, which logged the time of the order), I went inside and asked if the drink was being prepared, as I didn't see it ready at the pick-up station. The barista was snippy and said he was in the middle of preparing it and that it would be done in two minutes, as he shoved a timer in my face showing that two minutes were left. He added that he started the drink as soon as the order came in, but that it took five minutes to prepare as the tea had to steep. I told him that it wasn't the case that he had started the drink as soon as it came in, as I had ordered it thirteen minutes prior, and I showed him on the app. So the snippy Karen manager, who always wears her annoying fedora and always has her two cents to say to people, came over and told me I was being very rude and that they had to take the orders in the order that they come in. I told her I had ordered 13 minutes ago when the place was empty, and three customers had subsequently come in, placed their orders, and walked out with their orders, as my order went ignored, all of which I had observed from the patio since placing the order. I told the manager that I had to go pick up my kid at her class, as the classroom building was about to close, and to hold off making the drink until we came back so the ice wouldn't be totally melted, which always happens with this drink within five minutes of when they make it. She said, "Maybe you should have thought of that before you ordered," then rolled her eyes and told me to stop talking to the barista and to go stand away from the counter. I just walked out and went and picked up my kid. We returned about 15 minutes later and I went to the pick up area, where I saw the drink with all of the ice melted and our bakery items, which were cold. I went to the cashier station and asked the same snippy barista to remake the drink and warm up the pastries, but he said, "No, I am not going to remake your drink or serve you. You yelled at me and I'm just going to give you a refund." I said I hadn't yelled at him at all, and that my kid was hungry and waiting for her food, so could he please just remake the drink and warm up the pastries. He claimed that the cameras in the restaurant had captured me yelling at him, and said he was just going to give me a refund. He was all flustered and couldn't function at the register, so he told me to just call the 1-800 number for the app and ask for a refund, then walked away. I walked over and told him to stop being a jerk and just make the drink. Then the Karen manager came over with her stupid hat and unhelpful attitude and said, "You did scream at him and you were very rude! We're not going to help you and you can leave now!" So I left and joined my kids at the patio, where I told them what happened and called the 1-800 number, which just issued a refund and told me they would report my experience to the manager, who was the cause of the complaint! I told them how ridiculous it was that they would report the manager to herself, and they said that's all they can do! This experience epitomizes the dreadful staff and service at this location. Other negatives about this place are: the too-small parking lot; the unhoused and/or mentally ill people who usually sit in the patio smoking; the unattended bathroom that is down the hall closed off by another door, which feels isolated and dangerous; and the second manager who is also a Karen and also wears stupid hats! And orders placed here via the app ALWAYS take FOR-EVER!!! If I HAVE TO HAVE Starbucks around here, I usually drive the extra five minutes to the Starbucks location in the Gelsons plaza at Griffith Park Blvd and Hyperion. It is sooooo worth it!!! EVERYTHING about it is better, esp the staff! They are so kind, pleasant, and bend over backwards to be friendly and helpful! Yesterday's awful experience would NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS have happened here. read more

Such a nice Starbucks! Happened to be in the LA area and was looking for a spot to work remotely - so glad I stumbled upon this gem. Parking: there is 2 hour parking on the street (metered), but after moving my car, I discovered there's also a parking lot behind the Starbucks that is free for Starbucks customers! Even though this Starbucks is decently populated, there were still a couple of parking spots in the back. The workers here were welcoming and friendly. I was in the mood for a coffee drink even though I don't drink it very often, so I asked for their suggestions. I ended up going with the mocha latte, but they mentioned that I could order something different if I wasn't a fan. In taking a sip, the iced mocha latte tasted similar to hot chocolate with some hints of coffee. Unfortunately, it was not my favorite, so I took the barista up on their offer to remake the drink and opted for an iced vanilla latte. The new drink had the sweet, yet noticeable coffee flavors that I was craving, so definitely would reorder in the future! One note I'd I didn't see too many outlets, so just something to keep in mind if you devices are running low on power or drain easily. Overall, I'm not sure the next time I'll be in the Los Feliz area, but I'd love to return in the future. I don't usually go to Starbucks. The coffee is uninspired, and this particular Starbucks has an infuriating, byzantine parking lot. People pull in and out via a single lane, often forcing cars to back out onto a busy street. This afternoon, some asshole in a monster truck zipped into the spot I had waited three minutes for. My blinker was on! But never mind. I'm still giving this place five stars, and it's entirely because of the baristas. They are unfailingly kind, professional, and exceptional at their jobs. And where typically at a Starbucks you can pick up your drink and politely ask for an ice water. At the store, they asked me to go wait in a line on seven people to order that ice water. I swear, outside of the Disneyland Resort, this is the biggest Starbucks I've ever seen. I was surprised to find that one of the fan-organized birthday cup sleeve events for a member of BTS (Suga) was taking place here rather than the usual boba tea cafe. I had my doubts since this area is notorious for bad parking (which is true), but it all turned out okay. First off, parking. There is a small attached parking lot. I believe first 30 minutes are free. It's better to go find street parking around the area. I ended up parking .20 miles away and walking the 8 minutes to get there. Not bad. Just pay attention to the signs for any parking restrictions. Second, like I said this place is huge. Plenty of roomy seating inside and outside, plus they have bar seating where they roast the coffee. Fun! For the BTS event, it was one of the chillest event with reasonable lines and wait. Not everyone there was for the event, so it wasn't too disruptive to other customers. One section inside was decorated with a photo wall for Suga of BTS while the fan organizers were in the outside area in one spot for us to pick up our cup sleeves. Starbucks renamed some of their usual drinks (the pink drink, iced caffe americano, caramel macchiato, etc.) into BTS-named drinks like Persona or Interlude: Shadow or Purple You. BTS music was the playlist for the entire day. Really, a super chill event overall. I tried a new drink I've never heard of Starbucks having at all: an iced golden ginger drink. I'm noticing an extremely disturbing trend on the corporate and mom 'n pop level. Out of the pandemic, many cafes took the time to renovate, and the resultant was NOT necessarily an improvement. Such as what once was my favorite Starbucks. This location was once given the title of 'Reserve Starbucks.' Basically this was equivalent to a Michelin star. Yes, this carried a snobbish charge, but they offered true luxurious premium roasts most of the immediate surrounding area can -- and were willing -- to shell out. Guess the analytics proved this wrong -- maybe post pandemic, businesses had to scale back and shed some of the non-necessities? Idk. Now this place is just a plain old Starbucks. And, I wouldn't make a total stink out of this, but they just ensured I'd probably never make another visit when they stripped the place of any outlets. NOT ONE! NOT EVEN ONE FOR THE LAMP NEAR THE DOOR! Basically, they're telling any writer to GO AWAY. Whether or not people were lounging in excess (without purchasing anything), Starbucks could have easily fixed this issue without sacrificing their outlets. For example, given customers a unique code to log into the wifi -- good for two hours -- with any purchase. There problem solved. Nope. They had to resort to drastic measures and end our business relationship. Starbucks! You've gone too far! read more

Though our group attendance can vary between 10 - 30+ ppl, the baristas are always nice and very welcoming. Plus, they are very knowledgeable so you'll be satisfied with your choice of drink or pastry. Plenty of seating area both indoor and outdoor for your liking - though the cross streets are busy so noise level may vary depending on the time of day. Little did I know, a Reservebucks is so close to my job, which has canceled out my daily trips to CBTL (sorry). I'm bougie with my coffee and I love Reservebucks. It's a much-needed​ change of taste from regular Pikes roast Starbucks and the sleek Black cups with the gold Star/R put the bad in bougie (no shame). Of course,​ they have all the standard Starbucks drinks, but the reserve options offer more variety in terms of origin and complexity. You can actually taste the notes of citrus, berries, and chocolate in the reserve roasts. If you've never had a reserve espresso, you're missing out (seriously). The Microbrew 21 is currently my favorite. If you can get them to brew this one as an espresso (not a coffee), ask for a regular Microbrew 21 latte with 2-3 pumps hazelnut and almond milk. It's the holiday, so they're promoting​ the Christmas roast which isn't the same but still a great roast (skip the hazelnut for this one). This location​ has more seating space than the LaBrea location and it has a nice patio. I haven't had time to take advantage of the actual Reserve bar, but if you're ordering in, definitely​ take advantage of this experience. read more

I think I last posted about an outstanding Starbucks in NYC on a different app perhaps 5-7 years ago. As a former resident and now visitor to LA, I have to say that the staff at the Hillhurst and Avacado store, without exception and over the course of 3 days, were incredibly welcoming, kind, helpful and had a light-hearted and fun team camaraderie. The store itself is large, airy and comfortable. Thanks to all the staff members I interacted with and observed. Hardworking and yet took the time to be kind and thoughtful. Congratulations!
