One of the standard Starbucks locations that I go to when visiting or with my mom's side of the family since they live so close by. We have a pretty big family so the plan is to always mobile order for pick up so that it'll be ready by the time we get there. And usually our order is always ready by the time we get there despite each order always being over 5 drinks and with most of them being something that takes awhile to make like a Frappuccino (sorry, baristas!). Update time! Since my last review, I've become a bit of a regular--grabbing my morning Cold Brew or a little pick-me-up before the drive back to OC. Every time I roll in, my drink is ready and waiting like clockwork. The staff? Way more on point--cheery, focused, and getting it done with good vibes all around. Gotta give credit where it's due. I don't really know where to begin. I've been coming here for years, and recently I'd have to say the customer service has gone to sh_t to say the very least. Some of the employees are decent, but the rest are rude and act as though they are doing the customer a favor by being at work. They don't say hello, they are unpleasant, do the bare minimum, and it's getting old. Also getting tired of being asked if I've bought something to drink every time I need to use the restroom because the person who I'm asking for the bathroom code didn't happen to see me buy my beverage. I get that vagrants come in and want to use the restroom, and that can't always be accommodated, but I'd advise coming up with a better system to keep track instead of briefly interrogating customers just because they need to urinate. read more

Decent Starbucks location with parking to work at. The outdoors may be chilly in the fall, and the studying inside can be a little noisy from all thf coffee machines. I love it when there are multiple electrical outlets that are available for customers to use! Usually this place is packed, but I came here the day after Christmas and it was so nice and empty. There are 7 small circular tables for two people, a 4-seater, and two high tops indoors. There are also plenty of seating options outside as well. Pros: -lots of seating options -many electrical outlets -free parking lot that is shared with other businesses -restroom (you need a code) Cons: -their staff will sweep and move chairs at your table when you're still sitting there without even asking you if they could sweep. This Starbucks will mess up your drink on purpose and/or make it take a really long time if you don't tip. They will also be rude. I tested it. Tipped for a while, got the drink fast with minimal mess ups. Didn't tip, and it took a long time and they got my drink way off with size and sweetening asked for. I then went back to tipping, was fast. Today I went and didn't tip and they made it take a really long time, made it without any sweeting (vanilla sweet cream drink) and then had attitude when I asked for more sweet cream (which the was next to none of in the drink). Go to the Starbucks on York. Much better vibe and the don't punish you for not tipping on a $7 drink. But when they handed me the cappucino grande cup that I ordered, it was so light and the coffee was just 1/4 of the cup, and everything are only bubbles. It didn't even warmed my stomach. The coffee here is no different to any other local Starbucks, always at best, just Ok. So why is it we keep going back to Starbucks? They raise the prices. Change the menu boards to promote only the new/featured (more expensive) drinks. The pastries - save maybe the scones - are subpar at best. The cool thing about this place is the outdoor patio. It made meeting with my Craigslist buyer super convenient. Have you guys ever done a Craigslist sale/exchange and the whole store is up in your business? I was trying avoid that. It wasn't until after my exchange, I went back inside to order a drink. This is the closest Starbucks location from my house but I would rather drive much farther to a different branch. Staff here has always unfriendly. You get the impression they really don't like working here compared to other Starbucks. Sat down to do some work on my laptop and got asked for vaccination which I readily presented. I grabbed something from my car and when I come back they're kicking everybody out because "they were short on staff." Now what does that have to do with allowing vaccinated patrons enjoy their drink inside the store. They already closed their open area to begin with. They also sealed shut all their electrical outlets so you're out of luck if you need to charge your phone. Yeah I am done with this location. I used to love going to this Starbucks because it is right near my house, but lately their service has been pretty bad. So this is the second time within two weeks that I had negative experiences with the people who are in charge of giving you the orders once they are completed. The first time happened on June 21, 2021 when they messed up my food and drink order. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and frap and when my name was called they pushed the food and drink forward. I was in a hurry so I did not check, but they still should have made sure both names on my orders matched before they did that. I thought maybe this was just a fluke so I let it go and went again today. I decided to try this location again and the service was just as bad as it was two weeks ago. This time I got my food given to me right away but had an issue with getting my coffee. The person who was behind me got her order before I got mine, and I did not understand why until she pushed the coffee that was sitting there back. Then I heard the girl behind the counter call the person who came after the other customer who got her coffee. I had to go to the counter and check to see if it was mine as the girl behind the counter let it sit there for three minutes because she did not even read the label. She did not even call my name and basically just ignored that my coffee was just sitting there and continued making drinks because it started to get busy. When I asked her for a straw she did not even acknowledge me or apologized for not letting me know that it was my coffee even after I said it was my order. I do not know if these are new staff members or if they need to go through retraining again, but I will not return to this location again. I mean the staff seem to be more communicative and friendly with each other than they are with their customers. I overheard them talking about what they were having for lunch and what they were doing later, but as soon as I even asked for a straw there was not even a simple acknowledgement. This locations works well. Reliable Starbucks drinks... Although they don't have nitro cold brew if you're into that... WiFi is really strong! I just love it when a Starbucks has great WiFi. Limited inside seating. They have a nice outdoor area, although it tends get dirty with people leaving trash and crumbs all over the place. Also, it's exposed to the Colorado Blvd traffic in Eagle Rock. Be prepared to sweat in this summer's global warming sun. Speaking of the Amazon burning down, this location also happens to be where the recent fire was, where the 134 and 2 freeways are. One thing about this location is the homeless/crazy people... They be crazy. I was here last week one morning and a young dude in T-shirt and shorts walked in and announced to the whole busy store that "whoever is robbing my place needs to stop! It needs to stop right now!" He then proceeded to go into the bathroom... Which requires a key code and he knew the code... Where he locked himself inside and started screaming. I have always come here for several years. Place is great and spacious, but there would usually be little to no free sports to sit as it is generally full, even the outside. The implementation of the outer seating hangout place is what separates this location from many others, and it may be what attracts others to this specific area. I docked off a star because the pastries and some snacks are somewhat pricey, but I seldom purchase those. Always here for a coffee, whether hot or iced, and maybe free water to go along with that. With being able to request for a venti size of water, I added back one star. In regards to the most event time I came here: my experience wasn't bad, but not good either. In accordance with current rules and regulations, everything is fine, except one minor aspect. My mother ordered a butter croissant, and the bag that was used to contain it had a massive hole on the bottom. When I handed it to my mom in the car, all kinds of crumbs managed to make their way out of the standard brown bag they give you. Allow me to reiterate: this is rather petty, but not that petty. Either my mother somehow tore the bottom of the brown bag or it was already there, but she didn't do the former, at least according to her. Now I have deviated quite a bit, haven't I? Well, to conclude this review, I just want to point out that I feel exclusives should be much elongated, especially if you receive numerous orders and relatively possible feedback. This isn't my first time here, but they don't have the best service either way. Today, 1/10 around 12 PM, all 4 girls working seemed to have no energy to be friendly, fine. I ordered a panini and a grande iced GT. This is the first time I've ever gotten a panini sideways in the bag. Clearly she had trouble putting it in because the entire bag was covered in oil and grease. The GT was DISGUSTING and more like a tall than a grande. I love this location. The staff is awesome! Everyone is super friendly and helpful. But its unfortunate that the patio has become a place for the homeless, crackheads, and meth heads to sleep and bother the customers. It's really difficult to enjoy a snack and a cup of coffee while people that smell like an unfleshed toilet are harassing you for money. I've watched a couple of people get robbed in this patio and people doing hard drugs there also.. why isn't Starbucks doing anything about it. This is a great location with a great staff but you guys need a security guard and the patio should be for paying customers only. I stop by here on the way to work sometimes and I've always found the staff to be very nice and cheerful. I've never hung out here so I don't know what the hang out factor's like but it's a pretty big space and I always see a bunch of people there so it must be OK! I also think their coffee tastes a little better overall than some other starbucks I've been to--not as burnt. UPDATE: Hey, where's the "write an update" button? Anyway, I just noticed this morning that they have a really nice patio! How did I miss that? I think I've always been just been in a get-in-get-out mode when I come here so that's probably why.
