If you love Justin Bieber, this is the Starbucks for you! Justin Bieber and other dance inspired pop all day long, and fairly loud. For me that's not a plus, but for you it might be. I do like the long tables at this location. Makes it easy to sit with a laptop for awhile and knock out some emails. read more

I am going to walk the extra mile for this Starbuck's because the ones closer to me are not as good. You can always get a seat and the barristas are very efficient. I find other Starbucks can't make the Cascara Cold Foam right. Tyndir at this location has a real flair putting the foam and sprinkles just right. Give that man a raise! read more

1This place features the worst service of any Starbucks Ive been to. Slow and rude. Once went in to buy beans. No problem in that, but they would not grind them because it was five minutes to closing time and they had "already cleaned the grinder." Today they did not acknowledge me on line well after starting the previous customers' order. The woman behind me left in exasperation. I waited a couple minutes longer to be greeted. The crew of two behind the counter did not do so, so I left. I hope this Starbucks gets new management in order to take better care of their customers. read more

the single star is for the only one employee who looked like a welcoming coffee house attendant, evan, who in spite of being in the middle of cleaning behind the counter, was also the only one looking to help guests as the other two walked around aimlessly not taking customers, when i asked (disturbed i suppose) one of them i was met with a displeased face and a rude "someone will get to you" and something else under her breath- one person received training- the others seemed to be unaware that they work in the hospitality industry, the faces they walked around with.... all that for a cup of black joe !! not worth it :( read more

Sam, you're right. This is one of the worst in the world. Every now and again, they seem to have a good employee who is friendly, efficient, and good at what they do, but that never seems to last. I've had better service at Dunkin' Doughnuts, which is telling, since the whole reason I go to Starbucks is because Dunkin' Doughnuts has the least attentive staff ever. Ever. And, for the record, my drink of choice is a venti coffee, so it's not like I expect a lot of pampering. I'm pretty easy to please. read more

I was trying to redeem my birthday drink today . I showed them the email and they asked me to open my app. I did and the birthday drink was nowhere to be found and since I had already ordered I had to pay for it. Even the barista took my phone and tried. Horrible baristas. I ordered a green tea lemonade sweetened. When the guy was making my drink he poured a little bit of green tea and a A LOT of lemonade. Then he added a whole bunch of ice. When I asked him to take out some of the ice the other barista had an attitude and told the guy to take out the ice. Then the guy who was making my drink added MOOOOORE lemonade. ( this whole time the three of the baristas was just joking around laughing while ppl were waiting a while for their drinks) then when I tasted my drink I realized that the drink wasn't sweetened. So when I informed the guy that my drink wasn't sweetened. Another barista told me that was the drink I asked for. UM no I asked for it sweetened and you didn't ring my drink up so you wouldn't know. So another barista informed the guy who originally made my drink to just pour some out, add a little sweetener and give it to me. When I tasted the drink again it still tasted the same and I also had my friend taste the drink and she said it tasted like lemonade. When I went to the register to get a return they all looked at me w a death stare as though I was the problem. Green tea lemonade is the only drink I drink for Starbucks. And I go to multiple ones and it always is consistent. I am not going to settle for whatever they serve me, especially when they clearly was joking around the whole time and laughing. When you work in the food industry you have to take it serious. And I was not being difficult and asking for anything out the norm or specific on how much of each. Tyhair was great! He really made me feel at home. He was informative, friendly his smile lit up the room. It was contagious! I couldn't help but to smile and lighten my mood after interracting with him. After a long, hard day at work, meeting someone welcoming, kind and genuine was refreshing. Alright so I frequent this Starbucks because I live a block away and it's just another Starbucks. However, I had the best Starbucks experience today at this location even though I didn't stay long. Everyone must have been high or something 'cause there was something giddy and exciting in the air today. I walk in and the workers are all smiling and eager to take my order (and not in that obnoxious or overbearing way). So I'm just like wtf, whatever, I hope they keep this up. I got my Americano and (probably psychological) it tasted better than usual. Even the people getting drinks and putting sugar and milk into their coffee were nice to each other. Essentially, the moral of the review here is - happy employees equals happy customers. read more

Why write another Starbucks review? Cause I like this one. It's a little smaller than the other ones you'll find, but it's never crowded, and it's right by the L train if you're in the area. I'm genuinely impressed that I somehow found a bad Starbucks. Figured I'd stop in after a doctor's appointment- dude tried to upsell me into buying Via in some fake customer service voice for 2 minutes, held up the line, and then I wanted 7 minutes for my drink with 3 drinks in front of me. Today there was a young woman named "Yaya" who seemed to be the only one on the floor. Yaya was very sweet and efficient even though one machine was down. She apologized to everyone for the inconvenience and held a nice conversation with me about physics. I must say I am very satisfied with how starbucks is so diverse and has such intelligent employees! Being that I just moved to NYC she seems to be the nicest person i've encountered so far. The location is near Beth Israel Hospital, and others, but I COULD NOT BELIEVE the barrista had to ESCORT me to the bathroom, as I gather they get a lot of ? Homeless. Now it was 7;30 on a Monday morning: you think the barrista had better things to do, then make me feel like a 2year old. AND she made me wait, which did make me feel like a 2 year old. I later went down the street towards the lower East side and had a second drink, where they were much friendlier and the bathroom was NOT Locked. (and there was a woman who parked her bag of cans outside before she came in). I understand there is a problem, but requiring an escort? Come on!! AND I'm a stockholder!! ALL Of the Starbucks in NYC (and I've ordered from any number from the Lexington ave on the upper east side to the one at Union Square-where they had a long line for the bathroom)are much more accommodating. They are all ALWAYS busy, which should make the stock go higher than it is, if you ask me. Maybe they need to revise some of their policies....... read more

Everytime I'm here, they are efficient and courteous. The guy tonight said to me have a great night to me TWICE. That negates the numerous people who shove drinks in front of my face or begrudgingly take my order. Thank you barista who showed me excellent manners. A nice East Side retreat, in my opinion. In need of some good coffee to go with a special lunch I'd prepared, I settled on this Starbucks, and I was not disappointed. After some minor confusion about my custom-ordered cold-brew, my meal was complete, and from there, I proceeded to a comfy booth in the relatively large, high-ceilinged dining room. And such was my long, blissful lunch hour: lounging among my fellow patrons as I sipped good coffee and ate good food and read a good book - perfect! Then, when all was said and done (and chewed and swallowed), I found the bathroom to be as satisfactory as the rest of the facility. I left with a smile in my heart, relishing the experience. If ever back in east Manhattan, I would happily stop into this Starbucks again. Much thanks to everyone who runs this restaurant. Keep up the good work :) read more

It is freezing cold in this location. It seems as though this place purposely makes the temperature at 55 degrees just so people don't hang out. This coffee shop is immediately adjacent to lots of buildings with students and should cater to them. read more

This place appears to be new. There was still some touch up needing to be done on the exterior construction, but just trim really. It took a while to get my drink, but I think it may have been because a big group of people had just come in and they were backed up, so I'll reserve judgement on that. My only real issue with the place is that I wish that some of the seating was "comfy"...you know, like the locations with a comfortable arm chair to sit in. read more

The young male barista on early morning oven duty earlier this week on Wednesday is really disrespectful. I made the mistake of asking him the single quick question "What is the code for your restroom?" To which he arrogantly responded, "77777. It's literally RIGHT on the door!" I hope this man some day learns that not every one is fortunate enough to have such good eye sight to see a subtly placed strip with tiny font in a dark alcove. It also makes no sense that a business would go to the trouble of placing a key pad lock on a door, only to place the code right on the door anyway? Is this corporate approved or a lazy tactic to avoid answering a simple and reasonable question? I understand that it gets busy as a barista- I know, I was a Starbucks barista for six years! BUT quick service is no replacement for respect and I know your Starbucks training taught you better than that. Do better. read more

Not the friendliest people in town. Service was slow and not very courteous. I was appalled quite pisses off actuall when I watched a police officer (who was definitely involved with some sort of dignitary outside the store) be rejected when he asked to use the bathroom. The manager came out and told him the bathroom combination is on your receipt, when the officer replied he didn't have a receipt he said if you're not a customer you can't use the bathroom...thats our policy. How did we get here, when I company like Starbucks refuses the local law enforcement agency access to use the restroom? I was never very happy with Starbucks politics... but now after that display of rudeness & disrespect towards law enforcement officers, I will NEVER step foot in a Starbucks again. read more

I love this Starbucks because the staff is super-professional and super-friendly. Considering the SBux promise to have you in and out - drinks in hand - in a nanosecond, they're amazingly cool under pressure. Friendly service but drinks are of subpar quality. My matcha latte today was overly milky and had grains of powder still hanging around the edges. In the past, I've dealt with a good share of mix-ups with types of milk, and I always get more ice and simple syrup than bargained for. They honor Starbucks app requests speedily, though, and there's plenty of seating and good lighting as well. read more

Big guy behind register (not Vic) is pretty rude and impatient with his guests. A pregnant customer tried to get in the bathroom and he just kept repeating that the code is on the back of receipt. The code wouldn't work and he just pressed the buttons to show her "how to press a button" didn't help her in. We are Starbucks rewards members, would probably order here only through the app so we wouldn't have to interact with rude employee. read more

I live in Stuyvesant town and I come to this place quite a lot. The staff is really friendly and I usually get my order pretty quickly. The first time I came in here, the cashier forgot to tell the barista my drink - a grande soy chai - so I ended up waiting longer than I should have. The barista noticed, asked me when I had ordered, and made it right away - except she gave me a venti instead to apologize for the inconvenience. I thought that was extremely thoughtful and great service, so I have been coming back here ever since. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there are NO outlets for laptops, which is a pretty big drawback considering all the students in New York City. Too bad, because I love working on papers here - great, quiet environment. So if you choose to bring a laptop, just remember to charge it beforehand! read more

i live in stuy town and i was overjoyed when i saw the coming soon sign on first ave (no longer needed to drag myself to the cube). i like this one a lot. im a sucker for seeing the same people at the same time every day, and drinking coffee with stuy town families. i also like that the employees take time to say hi and always have your drink ready before you order if youre a regular. read more
