This has been my go to coffee since I have ever been working in the municipal building nearby. Whenever I am in a rush, I quickly come here and grab my latte and at times, a sandwich if I forget to bring my breakfast to work. You can just smell the nice aroma of coffee when stepping into Starbucks! There are always plenty of seats all around you and any location I've gone to never failed me when it comes to finding a seat even though it's popular among tourists, especially this location in Park Row. Wifi is very fast and easy to hook up so it's a plus. I love their coffee a lot! You can just taste the quality when sipping their coffee. They have a great variety of coffee to choose from ranging from dark roast to blonde roast if you want an extra boost from the caffeine! They always have seasonal favorites like currently they are debuting lavender! Coffee with subtle notes of lavender in it. I ordered an iced lavender cream oat milk matcha and it was sure sweet! Just tasted a hint of lavender in it but mostly it was sugary. I should have customized it better as Starbucks allow you to adjust the sugar, number of espresso shots, ice, and syrup levels. Just be mindful that as you adjust or add certain condiments, the price of your drink might go up based on what you add. They also have breakfast sandwiches and my favorite is the bacon gouda sandwich. Oh, how the gouda cheese taste in your mouth. It has a strong smell but so good! Recently due to COVID, prices have been soaring and now a grande cup of latte cost around $7.00 after taxes. I wish prices were back to pre COVID which allows me to save a lot more money but sadly we have to live up to inflation :-( You can either order using the mobile app that allows you to pick any location of Starbucks and order in advance anything that is still available in the location you selected or in person. Usually I do pickup orders since it's convenient and saves time rather waiting in line! I visited this location on Dec 1 around 7:45 AM with my sister. I said "excuse me" to ask a simple question -- I was literally just going to ask if they had any merch. Before I could even finish my sentence, the woman working immediately cut me off and said we needed to order something to get the bathroom code. The ironic part is I didn't even need to use the bathroom -- my sister did. She then continued talking disrespectfully about us and even about other guests in the store, calling people in the line "crazy looking" and telling them to move closer to the register. The whole interaction felt unprofessional and unnecessary. There were definitely kinder and more constructive ways she could have communicated the policy. This experience made us really uncomfortable. I'd gladly provide pictures or videos to managers or higher-ups if needed, as it clearly shows how inappropriate their behavior was. I hope management addresses the customer service here. read more

Today I ordered this Gr Van Sweet Cream Nitro in a Venti cup on the app, Today's manger named Jonathan made it for me,first he forgot add the vanilla sweet cream,and also it's not a Gr size, but he doesn't noticed there is something wrong with this cup of coffee, so I just asked for a empty grande cup to measuring this cup of coffee, there is a lot of space in the cup,it's just a tall cup size. Very convenient location on Park Row - close by transit and all. Haven't been here in awhile due to the pandemic...but wow it's nicely renovated and much brighter inside. More spacious too when you walk in. Staff is friendly and quick to order as well either by the counter or to pick up a mobile order. Okay this is it. Been here couple of times and told myself to give them a chance but I think it's time. It's too bad that this location sucks cuz it's within tourist spots. That explains why it's always packed in spite of the service. Place is always dirty, tables not cleaned, coffee spills on the tables and floor. Place is kinda dark for me compared to other branches I've been too. Staff are unprofessional, constantly on their phone or talking to each other or to a friend visiting them. They hardly pay attention to customers. I don't know why they even get your name when they won't even call it once they made your drink. The store closed their restroom 3 hours before closing and would not budge even for customers that have already been there having their drinks and food. Have stomach issues and Starbucks has always been a great resource in NYC for when medical emergencies come up and I need to use facilities. Located close to City Hall Park and the entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge, this is a nice-sized Starbucks. After 4pm, it was very busy and it took about 5 minutes to place my order for a mocha frap and about 10 minutes to receive it afterwards. As I waited for the order, I noticed a large queue of people waiting to use the restroom (thanks in part, I'm sure, to their recently adopted open-door policy). The place itself was in need of a little upkeep but I can't fault the staff for focusing on getting the orders out over picking up after customers. There is a good amount of seating, including at a very large table up front. My order was made to satisfaction so kudos on that. I didn't order any food so can't feedback on that. If you're in a rush, this may not be the spot for you. Then again, I've been to the Dunkin' Donuts around the corner and it's not really any faster. I conclude this is more the result of the location and amount of foot traffic so I won't dock them too much for that. read more

Spacious Bux in TriBeCa located very close to City Hall Park, Pace and Weill Cornell/NY Presbyterian Hospital. Lots and lots of seating including seating that overlooks the park. Individual tables and a larger communal table if you're looking to spread out or make a friend. Has a restroom with a code, which is nice, if you're in the park. All the usual Bux offerings. Service and music are usually good. I've had some grumpy experiences but the morning crew right now is pretty great. Keeps me coming back. read more

A much needed renovation to the Starbucks located inside the historic Potter Building recently opened for pick up orders only so the store is partitioned off to only allow a few people in at a time. Came to pickup my mobile order. The employees in the back were just chatting for awhile and then she didn't even give me my full order. I asked for the bag that the food came in, and she said I need to pay $0.05 for that at the counter. I bought 4 drinks and 2 food items and needed a tray.... We went into Starbucks 20 minutes before closing and my dad tried to pick up and use one of the chairs that was already on the table and "SILEY" insisted that once the chair is on the table one should not use it and so he rudely made my dad get up and put it back on the table. Secondly, three minutes before closing he was already kicking people out rushing them into and out of the the bathroom and rushing them out of the seats because they were closing to the point that he was pushing people out of the door at Starbucks. We said we are waiting for someone and he again rudely said we should wait outside. It was not just us it was everybody there that he was physically kicking up even pushing a man out of the door, and at some point we told him that we were missing one of our orders, and he insisted on closing the door on us, and I had to yell through the door to tell them that we paid for a drink but did not get it yet. At that point I told him he's being disrespectful and my brother had to talk to him and told him that he should not let a bad day at work be projected onto his customers and he just kept nudging it off, and it escalated to the point that I told him I will report him and he knew that I was taking a picture of him and a video of him as proof of who he was, and he even had the audacity to dance while brooming inside of Starbucks to mock me taking a video of him. Minutes later as we were crossing the street outside he was even waving his hand at us, trying to make fun of us, and he even came out of Starbucks to the front door once we were already on the street to repeatedly curse us out, and that was when my brother came up to him and confronted him for cursing and being disrespectful. At that moment, a police car happened to pull up to the red light and that is when I reported not feeling safe when that guy was out on the street where such a verbal altercation can turn physical any moment. Came here for my morning coffee and I was greeted by some of the most kind and helpful baristas ever. The barista that took my order was so full of energy! Having to wake up early in the morning is not always fun, but it's true when they say energy is contagious and I definitely wanted and eventually got that barista's energy to start off my day. A strange turn of events in recent weeks. Someone decided the place needed a makeover. Signs were posted warning of shorter hours for a few weeks, and the place was completely closed for three days. This would lead you to believe some miraculous reimagination was in the works. Really, though, what it's amounted to is a new paint job, and a slightly different look. (By comparison, the remodeling of the location at Spring Street was a complete transformation, so much so that the place hardly even looks like a Starbucks now) I'm sure this is only temporary, but there's still a big stack of building supplies sitting in the corner, as they slowly complete the remodeling (I'm guessing it went longer than they had scheduled). All that said, some of the additions are VERY cool, notably: * a big community-style table * long benches along the windows * OUTLETS! Lots of them! Previously there was only one working outlet, now there are several. Laptop fun galore. Overall, a nice addition to a place that I already loved. read more

Of course that is not the most important thing about a coffee shop, but hey, it was noticeable. Other than that, this Starbucks location is just as good as the others. I have been to this Starbucks a few times with my boyfriend since he works on the next block so it's convenient for a quick lunch or cup of coffee,it's good for people watching and the crazy ones too. It's a tourist stop I think it's in a tourist guide hand book so it's crowded most times but you can get a seat here on the weekends to watch the tourists and crazies go by,and looking at "business men" holding meetings here and hogging the communal table,but all in all I never have to wait too long for a table so I can enjoy my beverage of choice,charge my iPhone,suck up the free WiFi like everyone else. read more

Worst service of any Starbucks I've been too, and under resourced. I popped in because I had 9 minutes until my bus came. I was one of 2 people in line. It took several minutes for them to start taking orders. A man was in front of me, and we were the only ones in line. They only had 1 cash register (2 or 3 is standard in Starbucks locations). The man took 4 minutes to order, and then his credit card was declined 3 times. My bus was due any minute and a barista was still helping him. I asked another barista if I could just have water. She said I'd have to order it at the front. In most CA and WA Starbucks, they sometimes let you skip ordering if that's all you're getting. I pointed out the man in front of me was having payment issues, she sad too bad and I'd still have to order. Fearing I'd miss the bus I left. I would never choose this Starbucks again. But they provided such great services, from the cashier to the barista, they deserve to have a 5-star review. WELL DONE!! I ordered a soy milk cappuccino, I got mine and took a small sip. Before I take a big enough sip to realize it may not be soy milk, the cashier called me and said they were already remaking one because they might not use soy milk for the old one. My boss drinks a LOT of coffee. I mean A LOT. So it's no surprise I spend a lot of time here. The baristas are super-friendly and remember my regular orders (heck, one of them even named my americano + heavy cream "The Judy"), and always seem to do just the extra little bit to make customers happy. The recent remodeling job means now there are more outlets, a barrier between the bar and the restroom, and things are organized to flow better (for the geniuses that can't seem to follow signs for the coffee line, they're now routed via physical barriers). I've only used the restrooms here once or twice - yeah, there's a long line (it's right across from J&R and City Hall, close enough to ground zero - whaddaya expect?), but they didn't seem any less clean than any other starbucks in the city... I've even seen the baristas cleaning them (and if they appointed someone to clean //more// often, it would make coffee service a tidge slower and the wait for the restroom a bit longer) read more

But oh, I am too weak to resist their hot apple cider, their tangy lemon slice cake, and their Fraps. Oh, the fraps. My day does not properly begin until I walk into this Starbucks. Pros: Super friendly, very efficient staff, will run through a long line of customers quickly, producing a correct bar of drink orders. Starbucks coffee is Starbucks coffee, at least there is no excuse for variations in taste between stores, so I appreciate the vibe here. As for my drinks- double cupped, venti Americano, no room. It is always hot, the espresso is fresh, and if one barista tries to separate the two cups, another will say "no, it's double-cup for Jen". For my other half, on the weekdays, he drinks a venti bold roast, 2 splenda, 1/4 of the cup filled with nf milk, and on the weekend he drinks a venti caramel macchiato with extra milk. We also order bagels (multigrain for me, plain for him) about 4 days per week. We don't otherwise eat breakfast and I DO find it extremely ironic that my one-and-only bagel desire is from Starbucks. I'm usually much pickier than this. I LOVE MY STARBUCKS IPHONE APP!! Pro or Con?: This Starbucks must be listed in every international tourguide book as the "BEST FREE RESTROOM IN NYC". At any given moment, there are 5-15 people in the restroom line, most are holding NYC maps and at best, 1 in 4 buy a drink. It's fine for me, because it allows for people watching and doesn't add much volume to the drink line =) Cons: Personally, I think some of Starbucks' daily roasts are bitter.
