COMMUTERS BEWARE!! This particular Starbucks is the only convenient one along the way of my morning commute. I've stopped here three times at 4:30am --I've either been the first or one of the first customers of the day. It never fails. Every time I have been, they are SO SLOW. Everyone who lives in SoCal knows that the slightest change to your daily routine can cause hours of traffic to buildup in your commute. I commute into Hollywood. The possibilities and variables are endless. My expectation is that I can zip through a Starbucks drive thru for a simple cup of coffee to enjoy along the way. Not here. Here, you better have 20 minutes to spare because that's how long it takes to get anything on their menu and that's only if there aren't any cars ahead of you. Think it's better to walk inside? I just moved to the area and I have to say every experience I've had at this Starbucks has been nothing less than exceptional. I always go in before work during that 8am rush and I'm in and out in no time. I also LOVE that they always have samples there while you're waiting for your order and how friendly and efficient they are. Was in the drive thru today and the experience was a super long wait. Over 18 mins for one drink is redic. Was never offered an apology for the unnecessary wait. As I finally got up to the window I can see 8 to 10 employees working. With so many employees why is the wait so long? Finally paid and the guy at the window said my drink will be right out. I almost always order a very berry hibiscus drink with extra berries. Every time I order from this store the drink is a light pinkish color and not a purple color like it is everywhere else. 3 times now I have driven off with a drink that tastes like flavored water after the first couple sips. The first 2 times I called and complained and they did make me a free one the next day, but yesterday was the 3rd and final time that I have had this happen. It hurts my heart leave 2 stars because I come here almost every day to pick up Starbucks for my office. Stopped by today and ordered a strawberry açaí refresher and didn't notice until we got on the freeway and noticed it was basically water and strawberries, decided to go back and see Andrea to have them remake instead of offering an apology they all just looked at me and said it happens and basically Andrea said they didn't mind remaking it and I said well obviously how would they give me strawberry's and water. There was a line of cars when I got there so I decided to go in where there was no line. This place used to be a restaurant so it is bigger than the average Starbucks. I'm a frequent customer at this location not just for the drinks but for the great customer service. I'll admit when this starbucks first opened I wasn't impressed... Maybe because everyone needed more experience and training but now that's it's been around a while they handle the busy hours well. They always make my trenta/venti green iced tea with 10/8 pumps classic on point, sweet just how I like it! I also enjoy coming in to order my drink and chit chatting with the usual employees I see: Vanessa H. And Jacob. These two have been super nice, demonstrate excellent customer service skills, and I love that they acknowledge me as I usually come in several times a week. I think it's really important to have an employee-customer relationship because it shows they get to know their frequent customers. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with Starbucks. I am a Starbucks fan like most and am addicted to my morning and sometimes afternoon Late. After over 30 minutes in line a Starbucks employee came out to notify me and the cars behind that they were closed. While I understand they are on a time clock and need to punch out, they could have easily stopped taking orders 30 minutes before they closed instead of letting us wait and then notify us that they cant serve us. Have not had any issues with this location. Drive thru is tricky when you have a car in front ordering 10 blended drinks instead of ordering ahead and getting out of the car. 3.5 stars for the slow service. They seem to always be understaffed & because they're understaffed some of my drinks have been 'meh'. BUT, the workers here are really nice. I love this location because of the ample seating, lighting, and logistics. This is my primary study spot and it's so perfect!
