We love Starbucks and get iced Matcha's nearly every day. Lately, it's been such a disappointment though. We just ordered two and they are not drinkable. Way too much foam (which is heavy and not refreshing at all), and the taste is very bitter. The store is clean, organized, and convenient, and drinks come out quickly even when it's busy.​ I especially want to recognize Lauren for taking my food allergies seriously and going above and beyond to keep me safe. She listened carefully, double-checked ingredients, confirmed how my drink would be prepared, and made sure everything was handled carefully. If I were to judge this place by their weekend service, they'd get one star. This store is inside Albertsons and literally half a mile from my home. I stop here every morning on my way to my office and the Monday thru Friday crew, specifically Stephanie and Eugenie, are exceptional. But the weekend crew is the complete opposite. I don't want to single anyone out but one weekend employee, in particular, always gets my order wrong or forgets to put in my food order. Not only that, but they are so slow that it sometimes takes 15-20 minutes to get my order with only a few people in front of me. Enough of the negative. The mid week crew more than makes up for it, and if it were them working the weekends, this location would get 5 stars plus! read more

This Starbucks is at the entrance and Albertsons usually has digital coupons for discounted drinks. I got a grande for $2! They have Friday love which used to be $5 but not it's $6 and you get a grande handcrafted drink PLUS a pastry! No coupon needed. Bad service. They usually have one person taking orders and making drinks. She takes her time and doesn't even acknowledge the waiting customers. I've been standing her waiting well over 10 minutes for the employee to take my order and it doesn't look like she will be taking my order anytime soon. I stopped by today to get a guava black tea and croissant. There was only one person working and she looked a bit overwhelmed since there were a few people in line. I ordered my drink and she quickly poured some dark liquid into the cup and gave it to me. It looked way darker than usual but i didn't bother to try it before leaving. When i got home i had a few sips and realized how off it tasted. It was so over flavored that i can still taste it an hour later. I drank a ton of water to try and wash it down but it wont go away. Its burning my tongue/throat and my stomach is aching. I'm now 100% positive what she poured was the guava tea concentrate without adding the black tea or diluting it with water. Its absolutely horrible. Im not sure if it's the lack of training or her rushing to get through the customers or both but I've never had this problem elsewhere. I walked up and there was no line. There were three baristas standing in the corner trying new coffee flavors with sample cups. I said excuse me several times and nobody heard me. I waited a few minutes before one of the ladies finally acknowledged me. She could tell I had been waiting a while and offered no apologies. The other two ladies stood in the corner chit chatting. I did some grocery shopping in the store and on my way out I saw all three hanging out in the corner again ignoring guests. Got tea and the water at this place is the worst of any Starbucks I've visited--water tasted like hot, expensive, tap water, with whatever they added to your drink, I thought Starbucks use filters and I've enjoyed clean taste of my drinks because of the water; I can taste any slight difference of chlorine in my water. Went in on 3/29/17 at approximately 1245pm. The place was moderately quiet and the drive thru was too long. Waited in line, ordered some coffees. All I had was a hundred dollar bill. The cashier (barista) said he did not have change for a hundred dollar bill. OK...so no coffee? I asked for a manager, thinking she could ok changing my bill; or she could make change off another register. Keep in mind this isn't a 7-11 liquor store or gas station at midnight where security concerns are obvious. The store sells hundreds of dollars hourly; and I understand a lot is paid with credit cards. The manager turned to me and said as a matter of fact way: no she couldn't give change... I said "really?" She then said I could but you would receive rolls of quarters and pennys. Come on, a busy Starbucks without $85 in change??? I left. Just want Corporate to know. They can check to see if the manager was just too lazy to get change or if more cash should be on hand during business hours. read more

Visiting CA, went to Starbucks in Albertsons and they refused to take the credit on my Starbucks gold card. Worker said they are not honoring the gold card. Not going back to that fake Starbucks. It's a Starbucks so it should be fairly standard right? Wrong! We ordered one decaf and one regular drink, and thankfully we asked because the barista had forgotten and given us two regular drinks. In the end we ended up with three drinks- one Americano, and two pour overs. Literally all three were among the worst coffee we have ever ordered. The regular coffee and the Americano tasted like water with a hint of coffee- I'm left wondering if they used the grounds from a prior drink or decided the drinks were too strong so they cut back on the standard amount. The decaf (strangely enough) was stronger but it tasted like burnt three day old coffee. I normally am the type that even if something is bad I will have it because I paid for it and it's a waste. In this instance however, we threw all three drinks away, they were that bad. We even considered turning around and going back but they had just closed. Well, lesson learned. Don't ignore the Yelp ratings just because it's a Starbucks like we did! read more

i have been here a few times, and today was great. it does get busy, but atleast this store has some square footage as opposed to the other starbucks in OC that are the size of a closet. very friendly staff and i even got a table with an AC hookup. my blonde roast was available without a pour over, which never happens, and overall i was very pleased with my experience here.
