Knocked more with phone now and finally I get a look from Mexican guy when I finally got to gesture they were closed. Not so much the coffee, but these two employees who ignore customers. Very rude. Don't like your job?...quit and get another one you'd like. Customer service isn't for everyone.

As this is normal for Starbucks...offering free refills for both plain coffee and tea. Every internet writer said, "Yes, Peet's Coffee does free refills for both coffee and tea drinks...every web entry." Anybody...just do the same thing and see if you get a different answer. I didn't want to ask unless it was standard...since I already seemed wrong for getting the wrong tea that I ordered. Going to the counter I asked, may I get a refill...holding up my "small" cup of tea? The manager quickly said..."Oh the re-order is over there there at the cashier line..." We don't offer free refills...it's $1.40...something like that. Full circle moment...welcome to last place. Second place is last place. Oatmeal was below avg...not offering the higher quality add-ons...the blueberries were dried out not fresh like Starbucks. This is an obvious no recommendation to ever enter a Peet's Second Place Coffee House. If there was a half star...then that's what I'd give them.

I'm based in Oxnard, so I wish it was closer since it's only in Thousand Oaks or Ventura, but I make the trip whenever I can. Customer service is always friendly and fast, and even when my order has been off, they've always made it right, whether in store or through email or chat, they handle it right away. I honestly wish there were more of these everywhere instead of Starbucks. The coffee is actually strong, has a real kick, and you can truly taste the beans, way more rich and potent. Definitely worth it every time!

Note they are open from 6:30-3pm daily for now. It's located right next to Vineyard Cafe/Habit/Marco's Pizza. Plenty of tables for outside or indoor seating. Cute Hawaiian decor and friendly staff! I ordered my usual iced Maui Latte (50% sweet) and it was delicious and consistent like the other locations. Be prepared to wait about 30 minutes in line for your order to be ready. Definitely a popular spot and a great alternative to Starbucks. Plenty of free parking in the plaza. Will be back soon!

I prefer the store set-up, it feels larger and more open compared to other competitors where I always feel cramped in their aisles. I love the deli, bakery, shelves are always well-stocked (even post c 1 9). I've not yet used their Pharmacy but maybe one day. Sometimes, they seem to be short checkers during their busy times, but such is life. I do recommend, if nothing else the ease of the location (parking is a breeze) and you can ideally run all your errands in this one strip mall.
