We stopped in for a quick evening pick me up. I originally ordered the summer boba drink with extra boba. When I got the drink I then learned that they were out of the large boba straws which to me the whole purpose of the drink is enjoying the boba. The employee offered to make me a different drink which I took her up on as sipping boba through a small straw only left you with little pieces of boba skin I would recommend ordering ahead on the app as getting the drink out took a little longer with only two employees working. Outdoor only seating is available. Limited street parking as this is located in pioneer courthouse square.

Came here to look at pastries and not buy anything, but the fox cake pop was just too cute! It looked exactly like the fox emoji! The cake pop itself was pretty good. Really soft and sweet. I hadn't had any sugary foods in a while, and could definitely taste it here. The actual shell of the cake pop was nice too; not too thick like some others. Really good ratio overall. The hard part was stopping at just one!

I came to Starbucks on my mobility scooter with my laptop to get some work done. First it was hard to find the accessible door because it wasn't obvious. It's next to the ATM and I wouldn't have found it had someone not come out to use the ATM. Once inside I asked if there were any outlets to plug in my scooter as it was beeping because it's low on power. I was advised that there were no outlets, nor was there any seating sorry we can't help you. What a disgrace. The feel I got here was buy and get out. It wasn't inviting nor accommodating for the less abled. It wasn't even clean. And the rest of the bldg is surrounded by stairs. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The service wasn't even pleasant. So I didn't buy anything. I'm just gobsmacked that a company built on being able to connect on the wifi and plug in whilst having coffee and relax is no more. Im now left wondering, is it like this at every Starbucks? If so I will no longer go. There are plenty of places that do offer plugins and Wi-Fi like the big chain across the street that has a cafe on the 3rd floor.

I try to avoid this Starbucks as much as possible. Sometimes when I'm waiting for the MAX and feel really thirsty I will go in. But most times I try to go somewhere else for my coffee or cold drinks. ANYWHERE ELSE. This location is always fairly busy due to the fact that it's sitting on the edge of Pioneer Square and the MAX stops close by. People descend upon this place like it's the only game in town. Tourists, locals and a variety of sketchy types flock here all day long. Dealing with this constant onslaught of people could be why the employee turnover seems high. My infrequent visits here always find me dealing with different employees. Sometimes the service is pleasant and sometimes it's not. Sometimes my drink is made right and sometimes it tastes all wrong. So you never know going in how a visit will turn out. There is limited seating inside. But there is a large outdoor patio overlooking Pioneer Square that is a great place for people watching while enjoying your Starbucks.

Beautiful inside, perfect for Pioneer Square!

As with any Starbucks, it is highly recommended that you leverage the high technology at your fingertips: Download the App and get points and order before you arrive. For some reason it took an unusual amount of time for them to prepare a mocha coffee. WiFi was very slow to connect to, even though there were only about 10 people. There are a few tables outside, which are PERFECT for the summer!

This is one of my favorite starbucks in the Portland area. I was surprised they have such little ratings. They are in the middle of the city, during Christmas they are right outside the big Christmas tree. The store itself is built with a lot of windows so you get a great view. The order came fast even though it was packed and they were super friendly. The public bathroom is in the other building downstairs. Coffee was as good as ever.

This reminds me of the Korean cafes that are sprinkled all over Southern California. We were delighted to see it here! I ordered a black sesame late and a black sesame mochi donut. Being only one barista, right after you order, he makes your drink immediately. You can hear and see the espresso shots being made and the ice filling your cups. Dependent on your order, he pulls out the cream for the top. I can see the black sesame cream top being very thick and full. A lot of patrons were ordering their tiramisu latte, and I don't blame them! It's what is very popular here. Personally, I enjoyed the black sesame latte very much. It was the perfect amount of cream and sweetness. The taste didn't overpower the coffee, which is nice. Their mochi donuts were good, too, with the consistency of mochi dough. Definitely would make another stop here if I'm ever around!

They are located outdoors within a repurposed trimet station, which add such a a unique Portland touch to their vibe. Although usually a 1-2 person operation, drinks always come out relatively quick! I tried the tiramisu latte and the black sesame latte. The tiramisu latte was easily my favorite. The cream top is rich and delicious, and when mixed into the coffee it really tastes like a classic tiramisu dessert. It's sweet, smooth, and feels like a treat without being overwhelming. The black sesame latte was also great, especially if you like nutty flavors. It has a natural sweetness with a deep roasted sesame taste that almost reminds me of peanut butter, making it both comforting and unique. I've also had their regular latte before and really appreciate the quality of their espresso. The coffee itself has a smooth, balanced flavor that stands out even without added syrups or toppings. A great spot to visit if you enjoy creative specialty drinks but still want genuinely good coffee underneath it all.

The Heart and Soul of the Pearl District! If you are…read morelooking for the quintessential Portland coffee experience, Barista on NW 13th is the place to be. It manages to be effortlessly cool without being intimidating, and the quality of the coffee is consistently top-tier. Here is why it's my favorite corner of the Pearl District: The Coffee Curation: What sets Barista apart is that they are a multi-roaster cafe. They feature a rotating selection of the best beans from across the country (and locally!). Whether you're drinking a pour-over or a traditional macchiato, the flavor profiles are always distinct and expertly pulled. Masterful Latte Art: The baristas here are true artists. Every drink looks like a masterpiece, but more importantly, the milk texture is always silky and perfectly steamed. The Aesthetic: The space is stunning. With its dark wood accents, industrial-chic lighting, and those massive windows looking out onto the cobblestone streets of the Pearl, it's the perfect spot to people-watch or get lost in a book. It feels like a cozy, sophisticated library for coffee lovers. The Staff: Despite being one of the busiest spots in the neighborhood, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They are always happy to nerd out about tasting notes or help you pick a bag of beans to take home. The Vibe: It's a great balance of "neighborhood regular" and "must-visit destination." It captures that classic Portland energy perfectly. Pro Tip: Pair your drink with one of their fresh pastries--their selections are always fresh and complement a bold espresso perfectly. Love how amazing the staff is. And the coffee is chef's kiss. Thank you!

The vibe is definitely small bar coffee shop, probably more grab and go than dine in. For my visit, I opted for two espressos, their house blend and a Coava single origin. Unfortunately, both suffered from a grind that was a little too fine, resulting in bitterness that was overwhelming in each. The single origin had some promise, with some pleasant acidity in the background, but it couldn't break through the bitter. Things were a little better in my wife's mocha, which had a deep chocolate flavor and silky smooth milk, it paired well with the cinnamon knot pastry we shared. Maybe a place to stick with the milk drinks, or at least this was my experience on this day.

So, I brought my drink up fully prepared to pay for another and everyone there, EVERYONE, in almost unison, refused to take my payment.
