I have frequented this place in the last three years. But recently they acquired a very aggressive homeless woman who camps out during differing hours of the day. And I MEAN aggressive. Once or twice I gave her some money. The third time after I came in to Starbucks- past her ( she slowly paces along the Fauntleroy way side of the building but I have seen her up and down California ave with quite some frequency) I didn't have any extra money. This upset her. She said hello, I said good morning ans breezed on. Naively not understanding that pan handlers communicate very much like salesmen and she felt entitled to a commission. I went inside, got my 2.40 cup of tea and as soon as I had sat down she walked in with her eyes glued to me and walked in an exaggerated slow manner. She was trying to intimidate me into giving her money. She kept up this hateful and disturbing death glare to and from the bathroom. So she picked her method terror really carefully because I'm sure she's not new to this. The police or the management need to get rid of her. I've seen mothers come in after their crying children and chew her out for harassing their middle shcool girls! It's disturbing and I'm not going anywhere near that starbucks until they remove that manipulative criminal. read more

Great location by north and southbound Metro C-line. They even have a Clover coffee brewer! Staff are friendly and helpful, seating almost always available. Could use a charge-pad table but there are a few wall outlets. read more

So my office did a coffee run and I got a hot choc with van. When k received it I thought it was funny because it was 3/4 full. Instead of a 16 oz it was a 12 oz. I called spoke with Amy and she said to come back and she will make it right. She was very pleasant. So following day I came back and same thing. Lol. I go to Starbucks for the consistency, quality and overall enjoyable experience. This location of Starbucks is by far the worst for the following reasons: 1) Not dog friendly, even if service dog - My dog and i went in for a quick cup of drip coffee and a bagel. After filling the coffee to the top so when you walk away it spills all over the floor/cup/your hand, the cashier told us we could wait outside for the bagel because of my dog. Also note, this was a holiday at a very slow time of the day, with few customers. To say the least we felt very unwelcome. 2) Service is slow, baristas are unfriendly - no one is smiling and basic manners are not reciprocated such as customer says please, cashier does not respond with thank you. In conclusion, as a neighbor who lives less than 3 minutes away, walking, I will not be returning because the service is so unfortunate. The one positive is that across the street Thriftway has Cafe Vita Coffee. read more

A girlfriend and I stopped by to grab a coffee after jazzercise around 10 AM. The woman at the counter was so friendly and took her time with us, even suggesting I try a new drink, which is now my new favorite! We ended yo staying for almost an hour, entertained with the people watching and chatting. We will definitely be back! read more

During weekdays management seems to prioritize competent employees. Week ends belong to the immature, rude and incompetent gaggle of what I can only hope are entitled highschool senior girls. Their weekday staff are good. When I commute to and from one of my three part time jobs and school monday-friday they are professional and very rarely get my order wrong. However- on the week end they have a group of really snitty, gossipy and barely conscious young women. It had been a month since I was alone with them in starbucks and thought I had overacted and they could not possibly be so flaky, aggressive and incompetent- I had a refresher today. After not giving me a receipt ( and never asking if I even wanted one- not offering a receipt is a violation of state law by the way) they completely forgot my order and helped six other people. SIX. I broke in and told them they had not helped me- they openly discussed among each other , if they thought I was telling the truth. Oh yeah- because I want nothing more than to hang out and see more of these charmers. Besides being insulting- I had no proof because the boss eyed redhead with the constant sneer at the cash register did not give me a receipt. I am going to complain to the manager about them- AGAIN. read more

I've always had a good experience at this Starbucks. The baristas are usually quick and friendly even when the store is busy.

I waited for over 15 minutes for them to bring out my mobile order the barista was rude and didn't acknowledge me or anything as I was trying to get her attention for my order. They barely had anyone in line or in their store and it still took forever. I will not be going back to this location at all even if it is close to my work. read more

My Wife and I came down with food poisoning after eating a spinach wrap at this Starbucks. This was on Friday 07/17/09. I have yet to have a decent experience at this location. Massive amounts of people behind the counter, yet there's always a delay. Unhappy baristas that seem to scowl more than anything. WAY too much attitude. I've stopped going unless I have no alternative options. read more
