I don't usually give chain restaurants 5 stars but honestly this chain is deserving of it. Two teams (21 players!!) were placing mobile orders to this store at 6:30 AM this weekend and they were so so friendly both days. They thanked us for coming in today and made sure we were satisfied with our order. They did run out of a couple things (which is totally normal!) but were super sweet to let us know and try to provide an alternative for us. Both days my coffee and spinach feta wrap were super yummy - like I think I might have to buy the ingredients to make this wrap on my own at home. Merry Christmas to us Starbucks thanks for putting a big dent in my day and sort me off on a bad note but that Starbucks for you online it says this location is open and you can order ahead. I ordered it told me to be 35 minutes to get my food so I figured oh they're open if it's gonna take that long cause it's probably Christmas and they're busy so I waited 30 minutes drove 20 minutes there I got there they're not open at all and they still charge me for my food there's like 20 different things that are wrong about this and no excuse will work for me. I'm sure there's 100 other people on the boat because people were flying around that store like Nats!!! I'm very frustrated now because they took an hour and a half out of my day plus I didn't get any breakfast because everywhere is closed now I went to the one on Chippewa further down they were open, but the line was wrapped around the place and they closed it too. All they had to do was turn off their order ahead and maybe maybe just maybe say they're not open all I gotta say is very shitty manager. I would fire her for this immediately. I have been to this location several times and I frequently go early in the morning around 5:45am before work. I always mobile order to allow them more time to get my drink ready since it's so early in the morning. I have had 2 recent experiences where I paid for an additional expresso shot in my coffee and it appears they gave me less expresso than is in the normal drink. The color is almost like milk with a slight brown tint to it and it tasted like caramel flavored milk. This is very disappointing because this caffeine in the morning helps get me through my 12 hour shifts. It's even more disappointing that I am PAYING for the extra expresso and I am barely getting ONE shot in my drinks. You know what, it's hard to give an accurate rating because it's a toss up between the Starbucks location and Starbucks in general. This location specifically is good. The drive-thru employees always seem to be nice and in a good mood. The order is correct MOST of the time. We order ahead through the app and pick up at the window. There-in lies one of the problems. Often on the app it says either I can't order for this location (or some others) and, what gets me the most, is that they show items unavailable. It's always a toss-up between whether they actually have an ingredient, it's not just showing up on the app or it's on the app when you order but then when you go pick up you're told they didn't have a specific ingredient. It's annoying as all fuck. There's a reason I use the app and it's because of convenience, THEY made the app for that specific reason and about 50% of the time something goes wrong. So this doesn't reflect this particular location but it reflects on Starbucks in general so one star taken off for that. This location, though, seems to be alright in and of itself. read more

Typically, what I appreciate most about this Starbucks is the drive thru, but today I came in for a meeting. I've got to say...it's a Starbucks! There's nothing fancy about it, it's been around for a while now, so they must do well in this neighborhood. There's not really a local coffee shop on south Kingshighway, so this is probably a good option for many who need a place to meet. Today I got an almond milk latte. They don't have oat milk, but do have almond and soy for dairy alternatives. The parking lot is a little clunky, but there's plenty of space. It's a relatively quiet location, as it's a little off the beaten path of central St. Louis. That could be a good thing for folks looking to not run into anyone and be productive. If I come here, it will probably continue to be a place I come out of necessity and convenience. read more

If it weren't for the handful of friendly baristas here, I'd give this location one star. Otherwise it's quite possible the slowest, most inefficient Starbucks I've been to anywhere in the country. When the mobile order-ahead feature is working, it's still a 15min wait for my drink far too often. I've had my order made incorrectly more times than I can count, even on mobile orders that print out exactly what I'd like. They're constantly short-staffed, and have a much smaller kitchen/too few of equipment for a location this busy. This location needs a complete overhaul. read more

Ordered my usual drink: a venti iced coffee with light ice, light almond milk, 2 pumps of caramel, and an extra shot of espresso. They originally made it in a grande but when they fixed my order, they just filled the venti cup with ice so my drink got watered down very quickly. I started going to this Starbucks in 2013 and for the most part have had good service. However this older gent by the name of Mitch is very rude and does not fit the Starbucks friendly reputation. When I pay 6.35 per cup I want it to be right and good every time I get it and if it's not right I want to be able to let you know without getting mean looks and the rude attitude. This is a reliable Starbucks. It has moderate seating, not as much as some locations, but at least 3 tables and several relaxing chairs. It has a drive through- which in St. Louis we know that not all do. It is always clean and I have never had any issues with orders. read more

Walking in, you're greeted with happiness, and when using the drive-through, they always manage to let their personality and friendly demeanor shine through! I work at a local business that is not far from this Starbucks location. I often come to the Starbucks to buy a large number of gift cards for our client base. Typically I will drive through the drive-through tell them that I need upwards of 20 gift cards, pull forward, and pay in a matter of five minutes. I have done this probably 10 times over the past few months and there has never been an issue. I really think that on most days this Starbucks deserves four out of five stars. They are typically very fast and accommodating. However I just visited this Starbucks hoping to go through my typical routine of ordering gift cards. I was confronted with a flustered employee who told me to just pull forward and she would deal with me at the window. Not a problem. However when I got there, it was as though she had completely forgotten. She tried to hand me the coffee for the car behind me. No biggie, I just reminded her that I was the one who wanted the gift cards. She said it was going to take a minute because she had to go get a few packets of gift cards from the other side of the store. Not a big deal, I can wait. It took her maybe 30 seconds to grab the cards before she proceeded to count them out in front of me to ensure it was the number I had asked for. I hand her my card through the window, and mind you this is a company card so it says the name of the company on it. She looks at the card, looks at the line of cars behind me, looks back at me and says She needs identification. I explained to her that I could give her my ID but that it wouldn't match the name on the card because the name on the card was the business I work for. She rolled her eyes at me and proceeded to run the card. I signed off on the receipt and was about to pull away when she said, "Next time you come to do this, come inside. It's very inconvenient for me to have to do this through the drive-through." and gestured to the line of cars behind me. I explained to her that I had done this several times before to which she retorted, "Not through the drive-through." I drove off. Now, normally this Starbucks is actually a really nice establishment. That being said you should not argue with your customer when you have a growing line of cars in the drive-through. Don't treat your clients like an inconvenience when the only thing making the line grow longer is your stalling. And don't give your customers attitude when they're coming to you for continued business. I mean, we're referring our clients to YOU and you're going to give attitude like that? Whatever. 2 stars for the lady working the drive-through today. Your costumer service needs some work! read more

I absolutely love this starbucks. Of the dozens + locations I have been, this one is tops by far. The staff alone is worth coming- every single person is exceptionally friendly, and has called me by my name since my first visit. I actually enjoy coming here just to say hi to everyone! They are like having a good bartender- they know what is going on in my life, and ask me how I am doing. Of course, the drinks are perfect. They make them perfectly- and if for some reason they don't make it EXACT, they practically beg you to let them remake it. I really admire how important it is to them that you have your drink exactly the way you want it. The store is cozy, and always very clean and well stocked. The bathrooms are always spotless, and the patio seating is really nice too. Overall, if it is a one time visit, or your regular stop, this location is worth it. I love having them in my neighborhood setting the bar for quality and service. read more

This Starbucks is decent; clean and comfortable inside. There's not lots of seating or table space available, so studying here is a hit or miss. The drive-thru is often jammed, and service moves way too slowly. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time if you plan to swing through before work or class. Consider yourself lucky if you arrive and the drive-thru is clear! Service is always friendly and cheerful, no complaints about the baristas. Also, on the major plus side, they're mostly dog-friendly. They usually have a water bowl on the outside patio. read more

This isn't my regular Starbucks but I do stop here a few times a month. I like that they have a drive thru and I find the employees here to be exceptionally friendly. I stopped for a coffee last night and had the most pleasant man take my order, he was so nice and personable & it made going out of my way to drive there totally worth it. My first experience there was great and each time thereafter has been good. I had one flub up but by far this is the most consistent at doing things right. Pleasant attitudes. They now serve breakfast sandwiches and they have a drive thru!! I now like 17 miles away from this location, but I will still drive the distance when my time allows. This was my first trip back to this Starbucks since moving to Maplewood. When I lived in South City this was my go to location on my way to work each night and on my days off. In the past I always ordered ahead and they were great about always remembering that when I ordered nonfat I still wanted whipped cream and they always greeted me by name. Today I went through the drive thru and ordered a nonfat drink with whipped cream. When I got to the window they had my drink and the girl questioned why it had whipped cream when my ticket said without. The manager John told her he was sure it was supposed to have whipped cream and greeted me by name. I was really taken back by this since I haven't visited here in over 6 months. There is something to be said about someone that remembers your name and order after all that time. I may have to go out of my way more often to go to this location again. read more

I have had three bad experiences in less than a week with this store. The first wasn't really the workers fault, I got there right at opening and my preordered drink wasn't ready because as I was told their espresso machines were still warming up and not ready for use. So maybe corporate should look into that. The second was again early in the morning. My preordered drink was sitting right there. I pre order because I have to be at work very early most days and at every other Starbucks it's never a problem. So there is one barista talking to a lady about her drink that he's already making her. And instead of multi tasking like any good service industry worker should be able to do he makes me stand there and wait until he is done talking before he can bother to simply hand me my drink that is ready and waiting for me. The. The third was when I walked in today, again to pick up my pre ordered drink. The baristas were standing there talking to some girl , and I wasn't in a hurry so I stood at the end of the counter and waited quietly. The baristas never greeted me or said hi to me or anything. So I stood there and waited patiently while they socialize. Then another girl walks in behind me and the barista immediately looks over at her and tries to take care of her and give her the drink she preordered. I finally said excuse me but can I get some help to because I was here first and I stood here and waited patiently. I also forgot to mention the time I preordered from this store and got here and they weren't open like the app said they were supposed to be. They are all "happy" people. They lift me up everyday. I appreciate that! They also know just how I want my coffee. I always have to have more ice before I leave. Will never stop by this location ever again. I usually go to the one that is on Loughborough and never has a single problem over there and they seem to always make my drink great and "full". What I meant full is the meaning of a full cup, not missing almost 3 inches in a venti cup. Today I stopped by this one and it was around 5pm. It literally like nobody was in there, its not even a rush hour so I dont know why this girl barista was so rudee. I stated that I wanted my ice green tea latte to be shaken up instead of leaving all the green matcha powder settling down at the botton like that, she poured the whole cup out to the sink and start making another one for me while giving me an attitude. When she gave the drink to me, it was missing like 3 inches, like wow & the drink doesnt seem to have any sweeter in it . I think she forgot to add in any syrup. Well my bad for wanted it shaken up I guess. On the other hand my sister wanted a venti black ice tea mix with some haft & haft, her drink wasnt even full. So she asked that barista if she can have some extra black ice tea to the full cup? She came and pour it into my sister's cup & my sister was being nice and said " sorry about that".
