This used to be my goto Starbucks but it's always so crowded and the service took a dip so I started visiting other options in the area. It's hard to give this location five stars if you've been to 1601 Mt Diablo down the way. Where the service at 1601 is bubbly, quick, and there's a ton of seating with the space feeling open - this location is much less friendly and is only slightly smaller than than 710 Bancroft, which is one of the smallest Starbucks I've ever been to. All in all, I've essentially stopped visiting this locale just because it's so crowded and the service is so lackluster. read more

I don't even know where to start. Starbucks, you should be ashamed to have your logo on this location. The bathroom was an absolute biohazard. Toilet paper soaked in urine and strewn across the floor, human feces smeared on the tiles, and black mold creeping up the walls and baseboards like it's part of the design aesthetic. The smell? A stomach-turning cocktail of ammonia and rot so strong it could make a health inspector faint. This isn't just "a little dirty." This is filthy on a level that screams complete neglect and zero accountability. In a company that prides itself on "third place" culture, you've officially created the third world version. If this is how you maintain your facilities, I can't imagine what's happening behind the counter. Do better, Starbucks. You're not just serving coffee--you're serving your brand. I was there a few weeks ago so things might have changed but the service there was so slow over the weekend. I asked for a tea and I saw the girl walk back to her coworker, talked for a couple of minutes before starting on my tea. Then my husband asked for ice for me. Same thing. I took my dad here for coffee and I got a dragonfruit drink. It is made with bits of dragonfruit and oat milk. Very refreshing. Servers were polite and enthusiastic. Definitely a nice place to relax and enjoy a drink. read more

Starbucks is everywhere and they're all pretty standard, but this gets full stars for service and quality. The chai and latte were hot and creamy, perfect for a cool day. The almond croissant was SO good, flaky on the outside but almost custardy on the inside. Have to order again! But the quality of service here was the best part. They diidn't rush us, and was super polite and patient. Due to the pandemic, they offer single serving add ins, so I asked for sugar packets and stirrer. Very easy process. One of the better Starbucks in the area. Always seems to be a lot of people inside but I've never not had good service. One time I had a couple bags my wife accidentally bought of beaned coffee we needed grounded and they took them right away and took care of it, even though there was a lot of people in the store. Starbucks here is a modern version of the olde Starbucks. a few tables outside. basically they are "the same" though there are subltle changes. brew: Guatamelean Casi Cielo Antiqua (med. roast, s.2.25) -not dark roast as erroneously stated. -tasted smooth, no lemony nor cocoa velvety notes per reviews on webpage. *unsure if mistaste due to brewing mishap or beans being past seasonal peak. drips: -casi cielo translates to "almost heaven" in spanish -Guatamala is reputed to be the best place for grow coffee beans per it's rich volcanic soils read more

I've been to a few Starbucks in WC. There is one that is on the way to the BART station, and I'd sit inside while waiting for my departure. It's a usual Starbucks, polite and efficient staff. I go to Starbucks all the time, and this is my favorite spot when I come around the area. I love how clean and social distanced it is especially around this time. Every employee wears mask and seems clean from what I see. My favorite barista has to be sofia, she is the nicest and super helpful! I'm a very picky coffee drinker. I don't like bitter coffees yet I also don't like too sweet either. She recommend me Irish cream cold brew and it was the perfect sweet! She also recommended me to do an extra foam for any drink with foam, if I don't like the bitterness in the coffee and I been doing that since! Thanks sofia! read more

I like the staff at this Starbucks but the drinks are either off or spot on. I always order the same thing and sometimes I think "Wow! Best Chai Latte ever!" or "What am I drinking?" I think they can use a little brushing up on the recipes. One the other hand, I think they are always nice, polite, courteous and attentive. More than once, I have been in a long line and the cashier has looked me in the eye, even though I was a few people back and smiled. They usually acknowledge that you are there. Once at the counter, they always apologize for the wait and then take your order. I appreciate that bit of common courtesy... it makes drinking "meh" drinks fine. read more

Located in the heart of Walnut Creek's downtown area, this Starbucks, at the corner of Main and Duncan, is a busy, bustling coffee shop. We were lucky to only have two people ahead of us when we stopped by recently on a Monday mid-afternoon, but the line was soon out the door. We barely found a place to sit, even though there is a fair amount of inside seating (I counted seven tables and 30+ seats, including one long, 10 seat table). Nice window tables/counters (if you can get them) look out on the downtown area. Outdoor seating is available as well. A wide variety of customers were enjoying their coffee, including an unfortunate person being interviewed by a well-dressed business type in the middle of this noisy Starbucks. Our two orders, a tall white chocolate mocha latte, and a short cinnamon dolce latte, were well-made and delicious. Service was friendly and relatively quick. Bonus: this Starbucks location features a Clover machine for custom brewed coffee made from specialty roasts. This option is only available in select Starbucks locations. Parking is the biggest negative here, as is the case with most downtown Walnut Creek businesses. This place is perfect if you are already downtown, but the hassle factor is such that I can't imagine a scenario where I would stop by here otherwise. read more

Servers seemed friendly but big negative is no inside dining. They have some dining outside but if it's cold or too hot outside it doesn't work. The one star rating is the result of no place to eat inside. There are other choices around I would recommend you go there instead. read more

Friendly and fast service is great, but only when your order is made properly. I go to this Starbucks because it is the closest one to where I work, but they get my order wrong just a little too often. I've gotten a cookie when I asked for a brownie, a tall when I've ordered a grande, and almond milk when I've ordered oat milk. It's not horrible and I haven't been upset enough to send anything back, but it's not quite right. read more

I've been to this Starbucks a couple of times throughout the years whenever I go shopping at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. This Starbucks is located across from Tomatina. They used to have another one where the Apple Store is now, but they moved that Starbucks near the Macy's. It's a pretty standard Starbucks, I'd say this has less of a line compared to the one near Macy's since a lot of the shoppers go there for a pick-me-up. I came here with my Aunt over the weekend for some drinks and to chill before I had a flight back home to SD. They have several tables here for studying or relaxing. I've stopped by a few times for my standard obsesión (Venti Cold Brew, black, no room doll) and at this point I'd just rather plod on over to the 'Bucks on Locust Street. The service here is just infuriating. I have never seen one staff member crack a smile or even greet a guest with a friendly nod. You literally feel like you're inconveniencing them every time you place an order, which is a pretty awkward disposition to find yourself in as a patron. Given the sheer number of Starbucks in any given city, there's really no need to put up with any grouchy cashiers or baristas at this one just because of the neighboring parking garage. I'm good! I feel like my love affair with Starbucks has finally returned. I mean, for a while I really was anti-Starbucks because I really dislike most of their coffee offerings. Either too sweet, too artificial, too ... foamy, too latte-y, too ... everything was *too*. Ever since I competed in NPC, and could only drink black coffee, I have rediscovered my love for their pike place roast. This is as good as a Starbuck's is going to get! Let me start off by saying I'm not a fan of Starbucks coffee at all! They over-roast(burn) their beans, giving it a overwhelming bitter and tart taste. Since they introduced their breakfast sandwiches, I find myself settling for their coffee in my quest for a good sausage or bacon breakfast sandwich. The cheese danish is also one of my favorite snacks, and when I'm feeling like a fat ass, I get both! Parking does suck, but I work around the corner so I always walk. This prime Broadway Plaza location is busy during the holidays, and the interior of the store certainly displayed this. Guests could enter only after stepping over the overflowing garbage can at the door. And the floors were covered with scattered debris, looking as if no one had done a sweep of the area since they opened for the day. Good work crew! Probably the same manager here that issued me a birthday free drink card, then wouldn't honor it a few years back. I haven't been in here to buy anything since then. Came here Christmas eve night about 30 mins before closing. There were a few people inside. After the barista helped the people in front of me, she just walked away and said nothing while two other works continued to close up. Finally a barista asked if I had been helped. When I told her no, she apologized and was really nice to me after that. I got my drinks in a reasonable time. I thought it looked really clean inside. They did, however, turn the lights off (leaving just the lights behind the counter on) when I was still waiting for my drinks. I'm pretty sure they were open for another 20 minutes or so. read more
