Dragonfruit drink

I took my dad here for coffee and I got a dragonfruit drink. It is made with bits of dragonfruit and oat milk. Very refreshing. Servers were polite and enthusiastic. Definitely a nice place to relax and enjoy a drink.

Starbucks is everywhere and they're all pretty standard, but this gets full stars for service and quality. The chai and latte were hot and creamy, perfect for a cool day. The almond croissant was SO good, flaky on the outside but almost custardy on the inside. Have to order again! But the quality of service here was the best part. They diidn't rush us, and was super polite and patient. Due to the pandemic, they offer single serving add ins, so I asked for sugar packets and stirrer. Very easy process. Even though there was a steady stream of customers, the staff kept their good cheer. Plus the bathroom was clean. Everything I expect from Starbucks and more.

This is my free Chai hot latte, since I always use my app, beautiful clean site, great staff, I was greeted and I placed my order, they said surprise you get a free drink, staff was efficient, friendly and fast. I walked over they already had my drink ready, they have a beautiful collection of mugs, cups and tumblers. The bathrooms were so clean but really love this staff they are super cool!!!

Typical Starbucks branch. Indoor & outdoor seating. Quick coffee orders. Helpful staff. Place could do a bit of picking up or tidying up.

Pickup area.

I like the staff at this Starbucks but the drinks are either off or spot on. I always order the same thing and sometimes I think "Wow! Best Chai Latte ever!" or "What am I drinking?" I think they can use a little brushing up on the recipes. One the other hand, I think they are always nice, polite, courteous and attentive. More than once, I have been in a long line and the cashier has looked me in the eye, even though I was a few people back and smiled. They usually acknowledge that you are there. Once at the counter, they always apologize for the wait and then take your order. I appreciate that bit of common courtesy... it makes drinking "meh" drinks fine.

If I could give zero I would. We waited for our drinks for 20 minutes and the customer service was incredibly slow.

I ordered the Iced Coconut Cloud Matcha and the Pepperoni Pizza Bun, and we also shared the Cream Cheese Bun and the Margherita Pizza. Honestly don't quite understand the amazing reviews of this coffee shop…read more We love downtown Walnut Creek and got excited to try out a new coffee spot but was really disappointed in every aspect of this shop.. it was quite busy for a Wednesday afternoon and when we walked in, there's one kiosk to order. No one was at the main register to take orders. The couple in front took forever to order so we stood next in line for a little under 10 min.. we noticed there were several people outside of the small shop waiting for their orders. As we were in line to offer, several people came inside and asked the employees at the counter about their order status. We waited 30 min for 2 iced drinks!! Someone ahead of us was still waiting on her ONE iced coffee. I ordered an iced tiramisu latte and my brother ordered a matcha. My drink tasted like watered down milk. My brother's drink didn't taste like proper matcha. It's a shame because the place and location is nice. But staff doesn't greet you or seem friendly or even approachable. And the drinks are not good. I didn't bother for any food/pastries.

The pistachio pastry we got did not disappoint. It was delish. We ordered a latte and their Havana latte was recommended. I loved the Havana latte, one of the best lattes I've had. It was flavorful but not super sweet as it has condensed milk. We ordered and paid at register both the cashier and barista were super friendly and polite. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It's a large coffee shop, also serves alcohol. I've had their espresso martinis in the past and one of my favorites. We just had wine and we were looking for a place to have dessert. I worked from the barstools for about an hour and a half. After the breakfast rush had passed, I noticed plenty of open tables along the wall. Since I had thrown out my back this week and desperately needed more support, I moved to one of them. The sign said the table was reserved for up to two hours for customers who ordered food. Great--I had ordered food and had only been sitting there for about an hour. Nope. The same barista who took my order approached me to explain that the table was reserved for customers who ordered food. When I reminded her that I had, she asked what I ordered--as if she hadn't personally rung me up. She then told me I needed to return to the backless barstool. I challenged this because it made absolutely no sense. There were plenty of open tables, I was a paying customer and I was within the posted two-hour limit. She simply repeated that it was the policy. To be clear, the problem isn't that the policy was poorly communicated. The policy should not exist in the first place. Kicking a paying customer out of an empty chair and directing them back to a barstool is a horrible business model that lacks basic respect and hospitality. I left angry, embarrassed and regretting the money I spent here. I will absolutely not be returning.

They come out with a lightly crisp exterior, a soft, fluffy inside, and are perfect with just a little butter or jam. These are airy and buttery. And if you toast them at home, and spread more butter on them, you've basically died and gone to heaven. I returned a few months ago to buy more, but they were sold out. I went yesterday to take a peek around 1pm and they had a few bags left! Score!! Toasted one at home with PB and, damn, what a treat!! So good. I also got: Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie: It didn't have a lot of walnut and it was too delicate to eat. It could easily crumble on you so don't eat it in your new car. :) But it was pretty good but I've had better cookies. Banana Chocolate Bread Pudding: This was confusing because I guess I was looking for something either in a cup or a rectangular slice. I had to ask the person at the counter where this was because on the shelf, they looked more like muffins. So, guess what. They ate like muffins. They're not too sweet and they were a bit drier than I would expect a bread pudding to be. I think I was expecting it to be eggier? More moist? Chocolatey? Nonetheless it was enjoyable. Beautiful bakery with a small dining area. The breakfast/lunch menu looked good. I would like to return and try their tartines. They look and sound amazing. Service was okay. A smile goes a long way.

Prologue Coffee & Tea is a small café operating inside the Walnut Creek Library in downtown (Walnut…read moreCreek has two libraries). Although the location is not prominent, pictures of their beautifully crafted drinks and delicious bánh mì sandwiches have been spreading across different social media platforms. So much so that they have been featured in reporting by several local media outlets. Out of curiosity, I decided to check this spot out with my brother and a couple friends on 08/29/2025. It wasn't busy when we walked in at around noon. A quick glance revealed a space that's tiny but well organized. We were greeted by Thuy, the friendly proprietor of the establishment. Since this was our first visit, it took us a while to figure out what we wanted. In the end, we each got a bánh mì sandwich and a beverage. Pricing was reasonable IMHO (see menu pic). I had the cold cut bánh mì and an iced coffee. I gave half of my sandwich to my brother, and he gave me half of his grilled chicken bánh mì in return. Both sandwiches were delicious! The baguette was excellent. It was crispy on the outside and soft and spongy on the inside. Thuy told me later on that she gets them from Duc Huong Sandwiches, a famed Vietnamese sandwich chain in San Jose. The homemade pâté, cold cuts, and grilled chicken were all delicious, and the produce was very fresh. The iced coffee was very good as well. We chatted with Thuy extensively before and after our meal. She told us she was a banker prior to opening this café. From our conversation, I could tell she takes pride in her work. We were all very impressed by her demeanor and business acumen. Should you find yourself in downtown Walnut Creek, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. 5 stars. BONUS MATERIAL: - You can either park at the library lot, Civic Park, or the Broadway city garage a block away. - Contactless payment. - They have limited indoor and outdoor seating.
