NOT A MISTAKE: Why This Starbucks Earned One Star I never thought I'd post a one-star review for this location. I'm a regular, usually spending around $15 per visit, staying no more than two hours, and I've always appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. This store is beautifully run by most of the staff--until one employee turned the entire experience upside down. Within ten minutes of sitting down, my son was approached by the lobby attendant. When I asked what she needed, she turned to me and said that if we wanted to use "her lobby," we had to purchase something immediately. I explained I always order and would be doing so shortly, but she cut me off: "Before you camp out in my lobby, you'll need to buy something--maybe a $1.95 string cheese. And if you haven't purchased in the next five minutes, I'll have to ask you to leave." That one interaction was insulting, unnecessary, and flat-out hostile. I understand and respect the policy--of course customers should order. But I've never been treated like a trespasser while being a loyal, paying customer. I usually get Starbucks from here out of convenience and the service is typically good. However, last week I came in and ordered a venti coffee and it was supposed to be black with no cream or anything. Not sure what went through this Barista's mind, but she ended up adding milk or whipped cream to the coffee and never mentioned anything. I didn't find out until after I got home. By then, it seemed like it was too late to say anything. Please don't add anything that was not specially requested on the order.
