Not a fan! I came to this diner with my 3 year old. Ordered a blt and grilled cheese. I Waited for 45 minutes, our food never came and no one ever came to check on us. I approached the server and manager and advised we have been waiting for 45 minutes and we are now leaving. The server looks at me and says "oh wow" . The manager of course says "why didn't you tell me sooner? Who was your server?" When I told the manager the girl standing next to him was our server the girl just looked around and acted as if she was trying to avoid the problem. I do not recommend this diner.... read more

Everything that one could ask for in a Diner. I ordered chicken parm but I didn't feel like all that cheese and sauce , so the chef made me a plain cutlet that could have been two meals. The side spaghetti was excellent too, Add to all this is a nice salad bar with three kinds of soup a very attentive ,friendly and efficient waitress and very reasonable prices. I have ordered breakfast using GrubHub from Starlite numerous times and they never fail me. Their HomeFries are outstanding, the omelettes are cooked perfectly, and I don't know what brand of bacon they use but it is the best I've tasted and it's cooked just crispy enough. This was always my go-to dinner in my area, unfortunately this is no longer so. My wife and I arrived around 8:30 on a Sunday morning and were seated promptly, Service was slow and the waitstaff could be overheard complaining about seating. Limited breakfast menu and a lot of items are a la carte which drives up the price. Our order took some time to arrive and was incorrect but the worst was that there were several hairs in the pancakes. I pointed this out the our waitress and she agreed to credit the price of that breakfast however when the bill came she had credited the lower priced one and not the one that had the hair in it. Had a tuna melt that was decent and fries but everything was pretty heavy and greasy that neither of us finished our meals and both of us felt kind of crummy to our stomachs afterward. Fine for a quick drink but don't eat. There is better food down the road. We were traveling thru and thought it looked like a nice place to waste some time while the traffic cleared, nice people, great divey decor but it took a bit to get the attention of someone but they were fair busy! Not particularly clean though. Wish I'd taken some pics but the lighting isn't great and I was digging people watching and the company I was keeping. We were so up for a real diner experience, but this was not it. Came here for breakfast. The decor is great - nicer than you might expect from a diner on a regular truck route. Waitress was helpful and conscientious about checking in with us throughout our meal, but she showed no warmth or friendliness at all. That was surprising as most people in this area are very friendly to travelers. The food was good but not great. Corned beef hash was not made there, so that was a loss. Potatoes were tasteless and greasy and looked like the frozen shredded variety. Eggs were good and bacon was crispy. Pancakes were the usual thick type you get for breakfast. Fruit cup was good sized although some of it was not ripe. All in all, the prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous, but we'll not go back. read more

We stopped here on our way out of town for a quick bite during the middle of the day. They are currently offering outdoor dining in a tent right in the parking lot, it gets pretty hot. The service was alright, I had to wait to get my water refilled multiple times. The food was OK, but was prepared pretty quick. We got an order of the chicken tender app, reminded me of frozen chicken tenders. The french fries were actually pretty good. We also got a burger and it was fine. First of all our waitress tonight was the BEST! I believe her name was Allison F, I know for sure she had a blonde ponytail. Very respectful, Kind, and on top of everything! I was waiting for Leisure Suit Larry to walk through the door. Of the few times I've been here, the waitresses are usually really friendly and attentive. If there's a wait, they usually get you a table pretty quickly. Just don't sit near the door in the winter - it's super drafty. Ah Starlite Diner, really can't complain too much and I have to say I'm a little disappointed about other people's poor judgement and lack of stars. I personally have always considered this one of the best diners in the area. Mozzarella sticks, on point always YES PLEASE! Not that anything really has been bad, but my sister and I have made it a ritual to always order Mozzarella sticks when coming to the diner because they are perfect diner sticks and coming to the dinner for at least 2 of our 3 meals a day. We don't live around here anymore so don't judge us. It's totally allowed, and eerily they know and seat you in the exact same booth every time. Back in the day I was real into the wings here too, I know diner wings who would have thought it? Also you can't beat a diner with a sweet bar/lounge happening and swanky decor as fresh as that can't be messed with either. When I was younger I applied to be a bartender here- that's real- but they were not having it, looking back it was probably for the best but I will always remember that they turned me down for employment and little did they know my entire paycheck would have gone straight back to getting fat and eating breakfast after my shifts. read more

The inside is very diner like. I had the pork chops and they were a little tough to chew. So we're my mother's. The lobster bisque was tasteless. Salad bar was a nice touch. My meal was the fresh dip and onion rings which was alright but not memorable. It has a crazy amount of cheese for a fresh dip. And I even like cheese, but it was too much. No coke. No Dr. Pepper.
