Allison was my server and was very knowledgable of the menu and had great suggestions. I had the montecristo and fries , it was the best I have ever had and I have tried quite a few! The meat was fresh , not packaged, the French toast was fluffy and perfectly cooked and the touch of syrup topped it off! I am a fry fanatic and theirs were perfect! Used to be jammed packed on Sunday mornings, now I see why it isn't. The food sucks. What happened to the quality? .. 2 slices of cold, refried bacon pressed like a pancake. $2.25 for a mouthwash sized cup of coffee? And stay away from the french toast strawberry thing it's disgusting ... Not sure who runs this place now but the food is a cold gooey mess. Tsk Tsk There are several better quality breakfast restaurants a few doors down on PCH where the food is exceptional .... A can of paint and a few bamboo trees won't change the skimping. Great little spot right next to the beach. Staff was warm and friendly, food was fresh and delicious! I had pancakes the first morning and then huevos rancheros the second. I remember coming here a few years back when it was owned by someone else & wanted to try it out again... I've taken it upon myself to start trying a new place for breakfast every Sunday (or at least try to.) I was pleasantly surprised coming here. It's a lowkey kind of place but they offer up some yummy food. You can tell that it's family owned, and that's always a good sign. My fiance and I both ordered the chilaquiles and we got the kids pancakes for my daughter. My daughter LOVED her plate and finished everything, we also both loved our food- it was delicious, beautifully presented, and the portions just right. The waitress was very kind, no complaints with that. The only down side is that the prices are a little higher than lots of other breakfast joints. We would definitely be back if we were in the area, I'd love to try their lunch items. read more

This place was a nice surprise! First sunny day after all the rain so we made the drive out to Oceanside. We usually hit Beach Break but wanted to try something less busy. We sat outside and there was a bowl of water for dogs, so I assume they are welcome. My husband had the stuffed hash browns and loved them! I had eggs, home fries, sausage and a biscuit. Olga is quite possibly the best server I've EVER had (and I've had some good ones!). She was quick, friendly, attentive, and intuitive to our needs. I have a vegan friend, who tried to complain about his food, and she shut that down QUICK. I love a server who isn't afraid to stand up for the establishment. I had an OMG experience here!! The Honey Bunches of Oatts French Toast was absolutely amazing!! Hash Browns were crisped to perfection!! Came here for a late breakfast and our server was friendly, food came out quickly, and they offered three different hot sauce brands on each table (major props for that)! I got the Machaca Burrito and it was delicious and very filling. Even though we were a large group the waitress offered to split our checks individually and was super nice about it. The chicken and waffles are equally as good of a choice; though all sides are sold separate. The pigs in a blanket are both fun finger food and delicious. Everything was not perfect at this restaurant --for example a bunch of disorganized stuff was covering the counter where you walk in so no one could sit there and eat. But on the other hand, I gave them an extra star for the fact that the owner came over and asked me how the meal was And whether I had any feedback about the restaurant in general. His name is Kino and clearly he really cares about his restaurant. I did tell him that I think they need a lot more vegetarian options -- especially in North County where there are a lot of us. The mashed potatoes I asked for were not very hot, which would be my only complaint. Taste of meat was very good!! Had a wonderful breakfast this morning. Had the New Mexico omelet which included chorizo, onions two cheeses and is topped with guacamole, sour creme and salsa. I opted for fresh fruit and received a healthy cup of strawberries, bananas, cantaloupe, grapes, and watermelon. Food was very tasty and well presented. I sat outside with my dog. Place is very dog friendly and my server brought out water and dog treats for the pup. Service by my waitress, KC, was superb. read more

We loved our breakfast here! Hubby got the meat lovers omelet, kids and I got the California stuffed hashbrowns. It was so yummy!!!! We subbed out gravy for the hollandaise sauce on one and it was delish. Our server, Lindsey was so nice. She brought us a little hollandaise to try so my kids knew if they liked it and she brought us everything we needed before we could even ask! Thanks to Joseph C i got the corned beef hash w/ jalapenos and onions, delicious! We were here last New Years Day because of the outdoor seating since we had our corgi dog Romeo with us. The hash browns were home made and excellent. And the servers were very attentive! We would be regulars but we live in Mira Mesa so when we do our annual NYD walk with the Corgi Meetup group we'll settle for when we do that. read more
