Came here for a Valentine's Day dinner since we wanted to try something new vs the typical steakhouses or omakase places. Ordered the crispy shrimp, hasselback potatoes and a bone in filet mignon. Crispy shrimp was delicious! Loved it and probably the best appetizer from a steakhouse. Hasselback potatoes were not worth it at all. Fun presentation but no flavor, it's just a thin cut potato. Now the bone in filet mignon...regrets. Ordered medium rare and it came way over cooked. Even in the picture you can tell the steak has been charred way too long. When I cut into the center, there was barely any pink that you typically expect from a medium rare. Steak was way overcooked, lacked flavor and was decently dry. Parking was great. Valet right outside or save $3 if you want and self park in the same garage valet parks at. Service was great too! Very attentive, nice and the typical service you expect at a higher end steakhouse. Beware of the plate though, the server does warn that it's heated to 500 degrees so best not to touch. We ordered 2 sides which were the wild mushrooms and brussel sprouts. The mushrooms were delicious but the brussel sprouts were not much to be desired. Not much flavor to it and not crispy so we regret not ordering the cauliflower instead. Unreal experience! From start to finish. Lively happening vibe and bar scene. Didn't make us wait around for out table like some other places. Sat us immediately and we were greeted and taken care of by the most knowledgeable and luxurious waiter who cared about making every single detail of the experience the best it could be, almost Michelin guide style. Cocktails are like maestros (steak 48 is same family behind those) fantastic and come to your table with the shaker it's made in. Potent and generous. Came for my bday and they left a handwritten note at my plate wishing me a happy bday and that they would do anything to make the experience the absolute best. And they did! Started off with warm complimentary bread rolls for the table. So addicting but you have to have then immediately while hot. Had the specials that they are known for. The lobster escargots with caviar. Crispy shrimp which came with a lot of pcs to share between 6 people. Then straight to mains. Steak fillet minon was perfection. Came on a 500 degree plate to keep it warm. Ordered asparagus side and you have to get the Hasselbeck potatoes. Only small thing was bathroom lines and situation. It's right by the front entrance. Long line as it is gender neutral and shared. Got a little hectic there. No way for them to fix that but something that was strange. After the meal you come home and the following day they follow up with a call/message to make sure everything was perfect. Overall one of the best experiences I've had in LA. It came with a side of soft bread which was ok but the key is to add a bit extra of the red onions to each bite Next up, the 45-day dry age ribeye. My boyfriend and I ordered it black and blue and our server was kind enough to ask us whether or not we wanted it on a cold or hot plate. We opted for a cold plate and our server offered up hot plates to use as we were splitting the ribeye. Our steak came out perfectly cooked! Melt in your mouth flavor. Dry aged makes alllll the difference and this chef definitely knows his way around a steak. So perfect we didn't even need a hot plate! It was lucky we did have that hot plate however because we also ordered the potatoes au gratin. Let me tell you... this is the most epic food tip you MUST try. Add a square of the potatoes to your hot plate and was as the magic sizzles! Not you have perfectly crispy potatoes on the top AND the bottom. You're welcome! www ended this delicious meal with the triple chocolate bombé. What's a bombé you ask? We had no idea but we took a chance and it paid off! Came last night for my birthday dinner. Valet is $16 I was given a Happy birthday card (that was really nice). We ordered the 45 day aged ribeye. So, tender it melts in your mouth. I think we ordered too much. We got the Calamari/shrimp, half wedge salad, Potatoes Au gratin and the cream brûlée corn (highly recommend the corn) it was delicious and for dessert the Beignet on the tree. Everything was so good except the buns -not a fan. Service was impeccable. The restaurant was beautiful the wine and drinking glasses on the table and the ambiance was amazing. Customer Service is a lost art these days, so my experience AFTER dining, was exceptional. Steak 48 was already by far one of my favorite steakhouses. Been to the one in Houston a few times so was excited to try this location. Ambiance 10/10 Service 10/10 Food 10/10 There was a small temp misunderstanding with my steak but I didn't send it back. As a trained chef..I KNOW BETTER!! While I'm sure the integrity of the new steak would've been top notch, I just couldn't do it. But outside of that? It was an absolutely amazing experience. I didn't complain, but I gave our wonderful server some feedback so I could understand how the misunderstanding happened, but other than that, I didn't mention it again. Finished dinner, paid the bill and tipped fully. Then the unexpected happened.. I got a call from them the next day asking about my experience. I explained what happened with the steak but advised I didn't want the server to get in trouble or anything. He was amazing. She ensured it wasn't an issue and they just like to make sure guests enjoyed themselves and advised the manager would give me a call. Manager calls today, we talk about my experience and at the end of the call he offered me a gift card to come back. What??!! While I was a little disappointed with my steak, I realize that things happen and it wasn't going to prevent me from going back.. But to know this is the level of service they provide? This was our first time at Steak 48 and we had a nice experience. We have been to almost every top steak house in Los Angeles County and Steak 48 ranks up there for our top steakhouse. First and foremost the door men were an added touch and set up how the rest of the night was going to go. We did not have to wait long to be seated after we checked in for reservations. Our server Zeff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We always had at least 2 checking on us who was working with Zeff. The restaurant had a great ambiance and a range of music playing. It could get a little loud, but nothing more than any other high end restaurant. For appetizers we had the crispy shrimp, which was amazing. We also had the meatballs which were good. I would definitely order them again. My wife wasn't a big fan of the meatballs, but she got use to them the more she ate. We both had the 12oz filet mignon and it was cool. Not the best one we had, but edible. The corn creme brûlée was amazing!!!!!!! I would've been fine with just that as a side. We also had the sautéed spinach which we do not like. It wasn't nasty, but tastes rather earthy. I really enjoyed the service there and honestly feel the service tops any other place we have been too; however, it did feel as if we were being sold on other items on and off the menu. We felt pressed a little, but it wasn't overbearing. All in all we loved our experience and will be back again. Mastro's is our top place for steakhouses and I give them the edge when it comes to steaks. Mastro's also has great service, but I give Steak 48 the edge on service. Service was so slow that the people at the table behind us left without ordering. Oopsies! The server we had has really good reviews on Yelp so I don't know what happened on this night. Our party was there for almost 3 hours in total. First we must have waited about 20 minutes until a drink order was taken. Then appetizer order was taken about 15 minutes later and when they came out, everything was put on the table at once so the table was so crowded that there was one item that could not be on our same table. They were dipping sauces for one of the orders. We sat at a standard table and it wasn't large enough to handle everything. So anyways, about the food I tried... The bread they brought out before the meal tasted like a pilsbury flakey layers biscuit that had honey drizzled on it and baked a bit so it would be a tad crispy. My fiance got the calamari and shrimp. There was only 7 small pieces of shrimp. :/ I got the crispy shrimp. It was okay. It had a tad bit of a kick and it wasn't hot. My fiance had caviar and oysters which I am not a fan of but he said they were delicious. For my main meal I got the Bone-In Iberico Pork Chops. I had to order this because my fiance was ordering the 45 Day Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye and I was going to taste a bite of his. The pork chops look small on my plate but trust me, after the appetizer and bread I was starting to get a bit filled up. I took my other pork chop home and had pork chop and eggs in the morning. :D For sides (sold separately)... I tried the Sautéed Sweet Corn, Creamed Spinach and Artichoke, Sautéed Wild Mushrooms, and French Fries. My main meal and sides were really yummy. My fiance's steak... YUM! For dessert, I tried the beignets which were very light and airy. So good! I also tried the peanut butter pie. WOW! If you love Reese's peanut butter cups, you will LOVE this pie! Had a great birthday experience here at Steak 48! Ian was our server and definitely knew the menu inside and out, recommended great dished, and we even had a great seafood tower built for us. My personal favorite dishes were the Steak Tartare and the cocktail Shrimp. The food portion is a lot and we walked out full! The only downfall for me were the signature cocktails were wayyyy too sweet but I asked for extra lime juice to balance it out more. Today is 12/23/25. Four of us came here to celebrate an early Christmas. The restaurant was highly recommended by friends. The decor and ambiance were great. Service was good but waitress kept pushing higher priced items. They have a lot of employees and never had to ask for water refills. The food was indeed very expensive but the portions were very generous. We were unable to finish all that was ordered. The food taste was average. Nothing special. The nightclub type music is extremely loud. It is very difficult to talk to people across the table. It does not fit the restaurant and we felt that Christmas music would have been better. This was founded by the original owners of Mastro's and, before tonight, most of my wine buddies had been here and told me how much they loved it. "Best Steakhouse in LA" they told me! I was somewhat skeptical. Tonight, I experienced it for myself and it was truly wonderful! We had a very attentive and thoughtful server, Jess, whom I will absolutely request on my next visit there. She knows the menu inside and out, is not timid about making suggestions, and was not at all flustered by our "Sally-like" requests (from the movie with "everything on the side"!). We had one minor issue (the kitchen's not Jess') and after Jess fixed it for us to our complete satisfaction, the Manager came over to make sure. He was incredibly friendly; took ownership; comped dessert; and, frankly, reinforced the incredibly positive vibes I had gotten interacting with our servers and the hostesses on our arrival. Great cocktail/mocktail options (mocktails were not on the menu but the server was very knowledgeable and listed them off for me). We ordered the Wagyu bone-in Tomahawk, very expensive but we thought it was worth every penny. It was cooked perfectly. It was me and my partner's 9 year anniversary, so I decided to splurge a little bit and take us to Steak 48. I am so happy that I did - as the experience was such a delight from beginning to end. Upon arrival, the Valet is easy to spot - and the worker came up and opened the door for us. It's $16 - so just plan ahead for that. Once getting out of the car - there was a polite doorman to open the door for us. Once we checked in and waited momentarily - I decided to check out the bathrooms I kept hearing about in other reviews. I can confirm that they are all individual stalls/rooms from one another - so you have complete privacy, and the seats were in fact, divine. They were heated and had bidet cleaning options in case you're in need of that. Very fancy if you've never had that experience before. Once we were informed our table was ready - we were taken past the main area (which was very populated and had a bit of noise) - and were seated towards the back area - where we had walls of wine all around us, and were next to a bar area. Very quiet and private so we were able to talk in peace without any distractions. We were given a handwritten Happy Anniversary card - which was a very nice touch and gesture. Our server Kristen (Kristin?) greeted us with a smile and gave us a thorough explanation of the menu and highlights that she recommended, as it was our first time there. She continued to check in throughout - and we even had one of the on site managers Nadil (I believe that was it) check on us a couple times and even made sure to say goodbye to us as we were leaving. We were even offered which type of napkins we wanted (black or white) - so we opted for black to masquerade our mess if we happened to have one. The water consistently flowed and the complimentary bread (as everyone mentions) is very very good. It's super buttery and flavorful that you don't even need any additional butter. We finally decided on what we wanted to eat/drink - and the breakdown of each is below: Drinks: I had the Ginger peach - 4/5 - it was very refreshing and light, couldn't taste the bourbon a whole lot. I also then tried the Blackberry Bourbon - 5/5. This had a very nicely balanced flavor between the blackberry and bourbon - loved it. Appetizers: 6 east coast oysters - 5/5 - they all had great flavor and came with 4 different topping options and lemon. Chicken Fried Lobster Tails - 5/5. - I had never tasted it breaded before, and the seasoning was really good. It came with a type of aioli to dip it in. Very flavorful and a generous helping of 3 tails. Entrees: 12 oz filet mignon (medium well) 5/5: Super flavorful, very lean, and seasoned to perfection. I always can tell when the steak is done right when it makes my eyes roll back from being delicious. I added one whole jumbo Alaskan King crab leg to my plate as well 5/5: When I tell you this thing was HUGE, it took me by surprise. There was so much meat within and it was super flavorful and filling. It came with a side of dipping butter which enhanced it even further. I was also super glad that they already split the leg open, as it cut out all of that legwork and saved me a lot of time. My partner got the braised Shetland Island Salmon, he said it was 5/5. I also tried it - and thought the seasoning was very nice and it was moist and great flavor. Sides (All sharable and they serve it fresh to you tableside): Boursin Cheese Whipped Potatoes - 5/5. The texture was very soft - and the flavor was jampacked and left me pleasantly surprised with how good they were. Crab and Shrimp Mac and Cheese: - 5/5. The cheese sauce was great tasting and had a great zest to it - I was surprised to see it in shell form - and it actually really worked really well. They did not skimp out on the meat either - there was plenty dispersed throughout. As we were wrapping up, Kristin offered us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary celebration - so we decided to choose the Very Chocolate Cake with cherries - 4/5. If you love chocolate - this will be the cake for you. It was a bit rich for me and could only eat small bits at a time, but the portion size was very generous (enough to take some home) and the cherries were a nice touch. To wrap - the cherry on the cake was when they called me the following day to check up and ensure everything was to my satisfaction. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience - and highly recommend to anyone inquiring to check it out (just be prepared for the bill, as the sticker shock is quite high). I had a very disappointing experience with the doorman at Steak 48 Beverly Hills. My partner arrived before me and was seated at the bar. He specifically asked the bartender about the dress code, since I was coming straight from work. The bartender assured him that as long as I wasn't wearing athletic shorts, I would be fine. Based on that, I came in wearing a pair of Alo Yoga sweatpants. When I arrived, however, the doorman refused to let me in. Even when I explained the situation, he was unprofessional and dismissive. I only wanted to step inside briefly to let my partner know we had to leave, but I wasn't given the courtesy. I completely understand that restaurants have dress codes, but what's unacceptable is being told one thing by staff and then treated rudely at the door for following that guidance. This place is located in a major tourist area, but the dress code makes absolutely no sense. They would not allow us to enter because we were wearing Lululemon pants, yet people wearing jeans were allowed in without any issue. We started with oysters (so fresh and delicious), then I had the rack of lamb while my boyfriend enjoyed the bone-in ribeye; both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Our server, Zohra, was amazing, attentive, sweet, and so easy to talk to. She gave great recommendations and even surprised us with cookies for dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. The whole staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made the night feel even more special. Definitely one of the best dining experiences we've had. How did I miss writing a review about Steak 48 I am in the neighborhood and knew this was a new and hot restaurant coming to the block. I then heard how busy it was and reservation were always getting booked. I mean I thought this was great seemed like it was a hit. I then myself tried to book a couple times but couldn't get in.. I wasn't surprised since I had already heard word of mouth. I had a friend in town last minute and I was put to task to find a good restaurant this had been on my top list... so I attempted midday on a Friday to make reservations for that evening at 8pm and what do you know whalllahhhhh! I took an uber since I knew I'd be doing some drinking so don't know how the parking situation is like. I knew they offer valet but that's about I saw. Once we checked in we didn't wait too long to be seated. I thought timing was just perfect! Enough time to look around, feel a vibe, people watch a bit, and it seemed everyone was really enjoying themselves. The restaurant I believe is just one level, I did however notice how differently every section or rooms were. For example when you first walk I noticed more coupes and families, by the bar area it seemed more livelier and alot of action going on, and lastly I was seated in a more secluded private dining room area more quiet and intimate. I started with a lychee martini and the biscuits looked amazing so I went with that. My date has a gluten allergy so it was all for me!!! The buscuits were amazing delicious so good that even when I took them home and warmed them up they were still good, soo good I still dream about them and can't wait to go back. We then moved on to a bottle of red and decided to split a steak with some sides. Evrything was perfect! The food, the service, the ambiance, the company. We were taken here on a Friday night for both an anniversary and birthday celebration. The setting is gorgeous. The main room is really beautiful and elegant. But, it's loud. We sat in an adjoining smaller room and it was loud too. There were 4 of us and we had the following: - started out with a calamari appetizer and it was great. Very fresh and didn't have that overly fried taste. - We shared a caesar and wedge salads. We all felt this was the low point of the meal. Too much dressing and it really made them soggy. Even without this, it was far from the best caesar I've had. The lettuce just didn't taste as cold, crisp, crunchy, and fresh as I'd like. Huge portion of anchovies though. - We all had some form of steak as entrees. I had the boneless ribeye special and it was good. The others had filets and said they were good too. My absolutely stunning date had to send hers back 3 times before it was to her liking. She asked for it to be cooked medium, and the the first time it was far from it. The second time was cooked a bit more but still there was no chance it was medium. Finally, the third time it was ok. Somewhat puzzling why a steak place can't get it right the first time. Also frustrating that the rest of us were well into our meals by the time hers was finally delivered. We had baked potatoes and steamed spinach as sides and they were fine. The dessert menu is really good... we had key lime pie, their signature warm butter cake, and an ice cream cake and they were all excellent. Valet parking and there is also a lot across the street, and street parking in the area. Our server Daniel was friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. I make this comment about all of these high end steak places I visit... they all seem the same. Maybe I'm just not a steak connoisseur, but to me steak is steak.
