Steeple House had been my bookmarks for ages and I finally got around to trying it and understanding why they have 5 stars! The coffee shop is located on a church campus so there is plenty of parking. It took my girlfriend and I a few minutes to find it, but if you walk around and pay attention to the maps you should find it in no time. Right off the bat, we were impressed. The coffee shop is small so not much indoor seating, but there is a lot of indoor seating which I'm sure is very pleasant in the spring. They sell specialty coffees, equipment, and even barista blends of non-dairy milk. The baristas themselves were probably the friendliest baristas I have ever encountered. I had an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and my girlfriend had a hot hazelnut latte with almond milk. We also grabbed a maple scone and a salami and cheese croissant. The drinks were absolutely incredible, as were the pastries. Give this place a try!! read more

It was difficult to find a place in the Valley that had parking, lots of space, outlets, WiFi, and good coffee. I got lucky with discovering Steeple Coffee House. This is a well-priced little coffee shop inside the courtyard of Grace Community Church. We visited for a brief coffee run before going to another church on a Sunday morning haha. At this time, parking was pretty difficult (parked outside of the lot on the street) but as most individuals were inside of the service, we were able to order quickly and take our coffee to-go (in the most adorably stamped paper cups, by the way). My house drip was just $2 but was flavorful and not yucky, well worth! A friend also got a lavender latte and I liked the balance of flavors - not overpoweringly floral nor too sweet. I'd love to come back for longer some other time to enjoy the cozy indoor seating or to take my coffee to study under the lights & branches at one of the many tables right outside. read more

So one of the hardest things to find is creative coffee drinks in the valley. But I found a great hidden gem!!! Steeple House Coffee is great place to visit that brings creativity in its coffee. I am currently drinking the espresso tonic (mineral water)!! I was expecting a sweet espresso with tonic but there was no sweetener only lime. Ahh at last, I can say I go to church regularly. Thanks to this awesome coffee shop located inside Grace Community Church campus. I don't know what they put in their latte, but it's highly addictive. Holy water? The latte has strong coffee flavor and the right amount of foam. The honey lavender latte is too sweet, but it has a pleasant floral note. The chocolate croissant, however, is nothing special. Parking is plentiful unless it's during service. Crazy Sunday hours. Exceptional friendly baristas. First time here and it's a pretty place! I guess the timing was pretty bad because it is currently a Sunday and mass has just ended so its flooding with church patrons and loud gospel music. When I say loud gospel music.. I mean LOUD! Vanessa and I could hear it over our earphones! Vanessa and I wanted to try to find different cafes to study and at the same time do some traveling and sight seeing. I searched in Yelp for good cafe places and this cafe was top of the search! We decided to check it out and upon arriving we were confused! We knew it would he around a church but we didn't know it was going to be inside the premises! So be sure to park and travel inside to find this gem. So far right now as we study and read the noise level is 7/5 which is too loud. Again the timing could be bad due to a mass just ending but right now it is a bit too difficult to concentrate. There are little kids running and screaming with loud gospel music bumping. Praise Jesus! If we came on a different day we probably would have a quiter setting but still this place is really nice and is a hidden gem. Overall I think this is a great place to sit and chat with company rather than sit and study. I love the vibes it gives and the aesthetic of the place. Would definitely return but for different reasons than studying lol. For the review on the drink we got: Vanessa ordered a Matcha Latte with almond milk. It tasted really weird and we finally realized why it was like that. They ended up putting regular milk instead of almond milk. With both of us being lactose intolerant who knows what will happen next haha. We shared the drink and found out pretty much when it was half way so we will deal with the outcome soon. Such a random yelp find but what a cute place! This coffee shop is in the little plaza area out side of a church/schoolish looking complex. There is a large parking lot and plenty of people milling about late afternoon on a Sunday. The have open wifi and the two ladies working there were very pleasant. I ordered a $5 lavender latte and it was delicious - a little sweet and they have oat milk - I think the coffee they use is great! I liked it so much that I went back in when I was finished to buy a bottle of the homemade lavender syrup that they sell ($9) so I can try to make it at home! I'll definitely be back here. It's so random that it's in a church and people were literally walking around with bibles. So it was an interesting vibe but it was a nice place to get a little work done. There is some seating indoors and plenty of outdoor seating so this would be a great place to chill on a nice day and it's open to the public despite it being in a churchish facilty. I have to follow suit and give this place five stars because their service, their coffee, their location is all incredible. Nestled on church campus grounds, this little coffee house is the a perfect getaway to the wild life outside. There's not great coffee in the area, so when you read so many rave reviews about a particular one, you must go. Parking was plentiful and free. I parked near the family center and went through a couple of buildings, turned left and saw it right there. It wasn't some leap of faith or difficult place to find, you just have to relax and assure yourself this place exists and that you'll find it! A key observation is all of the courtyard seating. It's very clean and it looks so inviting. Upon arrival, two awesome baristas greeted me, gave me recommendations for I was appealed by the place, unsure if I wanted coffee or tea. I ended up going with a half sweetened salted caramel oat milk latte. Holy goodness. That coffee was smooth and that milk was delicious. And just a touch of sweetness. It was a steep price of $5, but well worth it and actually pretty comparable to other places - I just don't do coffee often and remember my good ol' Texas pricing. I worked a little bit on the beautiful patio bc it was such a beautiful day and I promise, Thane came over to check on me and other customers about three or four times. He was def on top of it! And he didn't need to be! It reminded me of my barista job back in TX years ago - nobody does that anymore. The ambiance of the patio and the church was so peaceful - it really was a sanctuary and everyone was so cheerful and kind. I feel so at peace and I was rocking my work. Came across this little gem on a Yelp search for Coffee. I was looking for somewhere other than Starbucks to get my fix and what better place than the house of God! Lol.. after a short drive from Pacoima, we arrived to a large Church campus with plenty of parking. The cafe is right in the center of a walkway, we walked in and the barista greeted us, really nice guy. Chi-Hong (Probably butchered his name) was awesome, he took our order and made some small talk. I had a Latte (I forgot to ask for Vanilla flavoring) it was pretty good. I can't remember what my uncle had although he was most impressed with the liquid sugar they had. Lol.. The atmosphere was relaxing, they had some good worship tunes on there speaker system, with plenty of seating and some nice wall art. I'll be sure to stop by next time I'm in the area. read more

I was SUPER iffy about coming here since it's located in a church and I'm not a religious person. But, the consecutive 5 star reviews persuaded me to come here and man, is the coffee good. Since it's in a church, finding a parking spot on a Sunday could be a problem but you could always park in the neighborhood that's next to the church if the parking lot is full. I came on a Tuesday afternoon and finding parking wasn't too bad. The coffee shop is right across from the worship center, where grace walk is...just look for umbrella patios and you'll find it! I also took a picture of their directory and post it on here for you guys. This is one of the few places that have a "flight" type of coffee and of course, I gotta try it and it was very interesting---in a good way of course. I got the purple and black flight. The lavender sparkling water acts like a palate cleanser, the ice lavender honey latte and espresso shot can be drank interchangeably. It was pretty tasty. My boyfriend got a pour over of their Colombian Omar and that was also delicious. Although sitting spaces are limited inside, the outdoor sitting is huge--so come on a pretty day! I didn't see any outlets outside though, so it could be a problem for those who want to do work on their laptops outside. The staff is also very friendly. Although I did overhear some bible talk while I was there, it wasn't as if they were having a congregation outside or anything---just some friends having chats over the interpretation of bible versus. I obviously eavesdropped a little and was intrigued by their conversation. So, the bottom line is, come here and try their coffee. Don't be weirded out by the location. Oh! I also tried their freshly-made cookie type of sandwich with cream in the middle---and that was also very yummy. I don't remember what's it's called but I did take a photo of it for you guys. Haha. They are passionate about the art of coffee, and their passion is seen in the excellence of their product. WiFi is excellent too, so you can get all your work done if you like working on the go. I don't normally go to church and wouldn't really think of goong to a coffee house in a church but on the suggestion of another Yelper I figured I would give it a go. I will say, it's very peaceful, especially given the craziness of any Starbucks within miles. And better than peace is really easy parking and really clean bathrooms! Based on those few things alone, I was already a fan and I hadn't even gotten in the coffee shop yet. Its a quick walk through the grounds, passing a tranquil waterfall. While the inside of the shop is small, it's nicely decorated and there is a beautiful outdoor area with plenty of seating...as long as you can handle the religious overtones all over and the extremly conservatively dressed people all around (a very stark contrast to the people you encounter around this area). The staff was friendly, the prices reasonable and the iced vanilla latte with soy (soy because for some reason they don't carry non-fat milk) was not too shabby. read more

Went back here again and tried their cafe latte and expresso. Both were superb. It definitely is quality and not just some bland, watery mix of a coffee. Their green tea latte here is great too. It's a unique cafe in the sense that it is quick, peaceful, and has lots of spot outside. It feels like a safe environment to be around (I guess since it is in a church). I'm so glad to have found Steeple House Coffee. I was working near the Burbank airport one day and this was the probably the only place within a 5 mile radius that serves specialty coffee. It's located on GraceWalk right next to the Masters Seminary and Grace Community Church. For the espresso, they use a custom blend of beans from Copa Vida called the Grace Espresso. It's neither too dark or bright, slightly more complex than the classic espresso profile. Besides espresso based drinks, Steeple offers pourovers, cold brew, and drip. For the more adventurous customers, there is a flight available called the "Purple and Black" that includes a single espresso, a lavender & honey latte, and lavender sparkling water. I went with the cappuccino. It's the standard 6oz size here. The cappuccino had hints of peachy flavor when the drink cooled down. For the price ($2.75), you won't find a better cup of espresso with Barista milk. Great drinks, low key environment, much lower prices compared to typical third wave coffee shops. I was apprehensive to exit my vehicle but I did not spontaneously burst into flames as some might think and I was not kidnapped and brainwashed.....phew. Truly & sincerely: Steeple House is one of my favorite coffee shops (& trust me, I've been to a lot!). I've been a faithful customer since its doors opened back in 2014. What makes this shop so special? 1) The BARISTAS. They KNOW what they are doing. They literally have knowledge about coffee and beans and the brewing process. It can get all scientific but really it's because coffee is an ART: made to be well crafted. They are kind! When they ask how you're doing, they genuinely want to know. And they strive to remember your name, your "usual", and offer up different drink options if you're in the mood to venture our of your "usual." 2) The ATMOSPHERE. Steeple House IS located on a church campus specifically at the Grace Walk. There are plenty of benches and tables around the church where you can enjoy your treat & see friendly people hanging around. Parking makes the most sense in the back lot. Bathrooms are throughout the campus as well. 3) The DRINKS. What's so great about Steeple is that they are CONSISTENT with how the drinks are made: from temperature, foam, smoothness, and flavor. I like to think of myself as a coffee/tea lover and any chance I get to try a new place, I go! But I'm always disappointed when I visit a place and the same drink I've ordered in the past tastes funky.. or is too hot/cold.. or too much ice, etc. Steeple makes their drinks the same EVERY TIME. Obviously no one is perfect. And like I won't be a hater if sometime in the future, my drink isn't consistently made (who has time to be extra like that, HAHA). But legit, all my fave drinks have been made AMAZINGLY every time. Favorite drinks: - Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk: Steeple introduced Oatly to my life and it has never been the same. I go on Oatly's website to find where else they serve Oatmilk around the country because it's just THAT good. As far as the matcha goes.. Steeple makes it the best. I've had a TON of matcha in my lifetime and it's always either too sweet, too "melon-y", too bland, or too "earthy/grassy." Whatever Steeple uses, KEEP USING IT. It's so yummy. - Lavender Honey Latte with Oat Milk: I've tried various lavender lattes as well and it always tastes too flowery for me. Steeple makes it so smooth and yummy! It's delicious iced or hot! - Rooibos Latte: Rooibos is an herbal red tea made originally from South Africa. It's so good either iced or hot. - Purple & Black Flight: so this drink is when you're feeling a little fancy. It's basically a small cup of espresso, a small cup of lavender honey latte (chilled), and a small cup of lavender soda. The point is the experience of drinking each item and how the flavors and textures compliment each other. Anyway. My review is long enough. And WAY overdue. I hope you all enjoy Steeple House! REAL QUICK TIPS: - Since it is located at a church, Steeple can be involved with weddings, private events, youth group nights, etc so I've found that sometimes their hours are not consistent. Apparently, coffee shops inside Churches is a thing (Mar Vista Coffee Connection) but this one is way better. Park all the way in the back and follow the suited men towards a narrow walk way which will lead you here on the right side. Intimate and cozy spot, simple menu and extremely strong Wi-Fi! I got a latte which was really good, my friends enjoyed their drinks as well. The bar stools can hurt the booty but i guess that what keeps you going when trying to get your work done. Sweet place for great coffee and hanging out. It's quiet, unhurried, lots of tables, plenty of parking (most of the time; depending on activity at the church). Don't look for signage; there is none. It's a room adjacent to the plaza with tables between two buildings (just to the north of the only 3-story building on campus). Ask anyone on campus; they will happily point you to the right place.
