Located on the campus of Grace Church but not itself religious. There is abundant outside seating in the courtyard (that is also part of the church complex). Also indoor seating with a small but tasty selection of pastries. Being it's at a church, lots of ties and clean cut guys having serious dialog at the tables over their javas. Good, free WiFi. The church campus this coffee shop is located in is very beautiful in of itself! No matter where you enter the campus from, the coffee shop is not to hard to locate, and there are various directories showing you the way through out. I love love love cold brew coffee and obviously had to try steeples. It was absolutely fantastic! The coffee had a very distinct taste, but not to strong or bitter for being cold brew. Adding in a splash of almond milk made it even better. I tried the almond croissant as well which also was amazing in taste! Together a 20oz cold brew with almond milk and almond croissant was $6 even, which is a lot less if you were to get these very same items at a place like Starbucks. I definitely recommend coffee lovers, pastry lovers, or even tea lovers, try out this hidden gem. I know I'll definitely be back! read more

1. It's in a church, yes. Anyone is welcome. 2. Workers are the nicest people possible and can answer all menu questions. 3. They have indoor sitting with huge tables for people to do work, bring their laptops, or just chill. They also have an outside area with umbrellas if you want to enjoy the outdoor weather. 4. I ordered an Earl Grey Latte and was very pleased with it. It wasn't too sweet and it was a good size portion and reasonably priced. I also got some monkey bread, and even though it was good, I think it would've been better if they had heated it up a bit before they served it, it was a little stale. 5. There was also a lot of gnats the day I went in. I was sitting there mostly clapping my hands trying to get them or just swishing them away from my face. We ended up moving our drinks outside instead. I don't know if that was just a bad day for that to be a problem, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Overall a really great place to enjoy a coffee drink. It's also pretty tranquil and quiet so you can definitely get some work done or just read in peace. read more

There are only a few outlets, but there were several seating options located near them. I settled in near the window at the bar. My cappuccino and a complimentary water were brought over to me. I can't not give this coffee shop less than 5 stars. I haven't been this impressed by a coffee shop in all categories (quality of coffee, ambience, barista friendliness) in quite a while. First off, you have to know that this place is located smack dab in the middle of the Grace Community Church campus, so you're going to have to navigate your way through some buildings to get here. I find the Edison bulbs on campus that lead the way to the cafe endearing especially close to sunset and after a long work week. I came here yesterday to decompress, muscles aching and body low on sugar after quite a week/series of days that tested my emotional well-being. I was immediately greeted by a lovely barista with such a genuine smile on her face. You can tell she enjoys bringing joy to peoples' lives by simply making them coffee! I ordered my usual at any coffee shop, which is also my litmus test for any coffee shop I happen to be trying for the first time: a cortado. Also ordered the pumpkin tea cake because hey, it's pumpkin season. I paid with my card and the barista made it a point to include my name when she said she'll have my coffee ready shortly. It's the little things :') Anyway, ambience. The space itself is small with two wooden stumps as tables + two bigger tables perfect for study groups. Outside, there is a courtyard with even more tables where you may enjoy your coffee. My cortado was smooth and the pumpkin tea cake was delicious. I stayed here for about two hours just catching up on reading. Asked for a bag for my cake leftovers, said thank you and good night, and the barista again included my name when she said good night! She was wonderful and I wish I were friends with her! All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by this little coffee shop. Based on my yelp research, there aren't really any unique coffee shops in the immediate area, but Steeple House Coffee is everything people on yelp have reviewed have said. Located within a church with ample parking, the cafe is peaceful and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to stopy by with friends, grab coffee on the go, or to get some light studying and reading done. The barista's are soooo friendly and offer great recommendations for your needs. To top it all off, the coffee is delicious and not over-priced! I would highly recommend anyone to visit this coffee shop (you don't need to be Christian) and will definitely visit again when in the area! read more

So I was looking for a place I could work and not be bothered. I found it! I give Steeple House 5 stars because of the vibe. I was able to sit alone as chairs and tables are spread out nicely so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of another table. They have indoor and outdoor seating although from what I could see, there is nowhere outside to plug in your computer and inside there seems to be a few spots. The only downside is that they are very limited in types of coffees. It's pretty basic here but I adjusted:) They also only have a few pastry items to eat. I was told however, that there is a cafe type place open from the limited hours of 11:30-1:00 in which you can get sandwiches so keep that in mind if you come here hungry. I was also told that they are working on opening up another area to eat that would remain open much longer so look for that in the future. They play very light music in the background so it doesn't bother you. I'm going to assume it's Christian? Not sure as I can't hear it very well but I found it pleasant. Outdoors is pretty nice as there are several big tables to work at. I'm assuming they can be communal if you don't mind sharing. Hey, it is a church so I'm assuming you are a person who likes people and wouldn't mind sharing a big table? Needed a break from hipsters and this seemed like the perfect place. And it was. It's located on the peaceful campus of a church/seminary and from the moment you step onto the grounds you can feel the wholesome, welcoming vibe. Strangers smiled at me. The people who worked there shook my hand and asked my name. The experience was so quaint and so disorienting that it was as though a time machine had delivered me to a drought ravaged, ethnically diverse version of Iowa circa 1952. First of all - they have great coffee! Really some of the best I've had since living in LA. Great prices (10 oz latte was $3!)! Also, really great design and atmosphere. You can sit inside the well put together space, or outside in a nice, garden-y, quiet area. We parked behind the church, and walked a tiny bit through the sidewalks into the center of the campus, and there it was. Regardless of your religion, if you are in the area, you know good coffee is scarce! Not to mention, seriously - Hannah was the friendliest and very sincere. Such a beautiful sunny morning and I thought I want coffee but not from Starbucks! I've been working down the street for over a year and never thought a church would have such a good coffee house! Was pleasantly surprised that it was located inside a church campus. My latte with almond milk was on point, cookie was super crispy but it was actually not that bad. After 5+ hours here, tried their iced green tea and it was flavorful. There's a God-given abundance of outlets you can plug your laptop or phone into inside and outside the cafe! Also loved that there was a bookstore nearby :) Spent a good 7 hours here. Tons of males. It was very questionable. Went here the other day for the first time to study since my friend highly recommended this place. It's kind of hard to miss since it is inside the Grace Community campus- so when you're mapping your way to this coffee shop, you're gonna have to go inside the parking lot and park in the back lot. Parking is free and there's lots of space. Interior is super cute. Wood furniture all around. Great to take pictures and post on Instagram! Staff is super friendly! My friend and I were greeted automatically once we entered. Mikaela(sp?) gave such great hospitality and asked for our names as well (which you don't normally get asked when you go to a coffee shop). Ordered a honey lavender and rose latte, and my goodness, yes! Highly recommend ordering that! Might try that iced next time I go. Downside of this place is that it does close at 4pm. Wish it closes later so I can study longer and not have to move to a classroom upstairs (which is why I gave a 4 star...wish I could do 4.5) Overall, one of my favorite coffee shops in town!
