Highly suggest if you go here to not work with sandy once so ever!!!! He has no patience, degrading, condescending, arrogant, know it all (which mind you he was opinionated and honesty didn't even know half the things he should and only tells you answers based off his "favoritism" for certain models etc ) non-urgent (VERY slow paced) and unprofessional all around. I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH ! In a field where you have to work with people on the daily (with all different personalities) you need to know how to do that and know how to be courteous and patient. It's time for him to hang up his hat and or reevaluate the type of work he is in. His personality and how he treated me was disgusting and unacceptable with a relic attitude that needs to be fixed ! I've leased two vehicles many years ago from Steven Todd. Was always thrilled and very happy with their service until today. I was looking to lease a vehicle for my elderly parents and was put in touch with Sandy Silverman. I have never been treated so rudely. His verbal communication was erratic and demeaning. Our neighbor used Sandy as a broker for a new car purchase, eventually purchasing a BMW with his help. We used Sandy a week ago in the same capacity and had a great experience. We test drove a few mid sized SUVs together and then purchased an Audi Q5 with his help and guidance. Frankly, I think it's the way to go. Dealer sales people can get a little too intense and he acted as a buffer for us, and negotiated the deal as well. Since he's been in car biz for over 20 years he had a lot of insights and also great contacts. All the dealer sales people knew him and treated us great. DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS!!!! This is what happened to me, I found this 2018 mazda mz-5 grand touring convertible on Craigs list for sale $23990.00 (vin no: jm1ndad72j020277) I do have it printed. When I call and talked to Mike Allen (847)361-3711 on 05-22-2019, Mike told me everything about the car etc. I then asked him about the listed price of $23990.00, he stuttered and said I thing its a thousand dollars more, he had to check, when he came back after talking to his boss, Mike said the owner he was selling the car for under consignment wanted the car back, so its not for sale. Mike tells me this stuff happens all the time. I laughed, and said that story sounds off. Today I look at the web-sight (Steve Todd Leasing) and I see the same car, same vin no. for sale for $25,490 $1500.00 more than the craigs list price. WOW How nice!!!! read more

Although the service was good, I will say it took forever to produce a car fax. Once I read the car fax I noticed a huge accident on the report. No wonder it took forever to cough one up. Kind of shady if you ask me. Glad I walked down the street and bought my Ford Escape at the Ford dealer with a clean Carfax for a fair price. These guys are good but be careful. I recently purchased a 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan from Mike at Steven Todd Leasing & Sales. Throughout our discussions on vehicle availability, Mike was prompt in his responses about the vehicle. The negotiation process was fair, and without pressure. From a transaction perspective, this is how car sales should work everywhere. However, not long after owning the car, we began to have issues with the windshield fluid sensor and washer fluid dispensing onto the windshield. After a visit to our mechanic, we were told the problem was likely from whoever did the recent maintenance on the car and put incompatible washer fluid in, or didn't remove the incompatible washer fluid. The hoses were completed clogged and corroded and needed to be flushed out to repair the issue. Unfortunately, Mike was not apt to step up to the plate for the issues that were caused, or missed, by his mechanic. This leaves us with mixed feelings on dealing with Steven Todd. read more

I would definitely recommend staying clear of this dealership. I have purchased 4 cars in the past 2 years from several dealerships around the country and this dealership claims to work for/with you when in reality they string you along and then sell out to a dealership that offers them more money after you agree on a deal. Very unreliable people... Deceptive and typical used car sales people...they fit every bad stereotype to a tee. I honestly cannot believe they don't have more negative feedback. Easiest and most pleasant car purchase I've ever made. I paid on the low side of Kelly Blue Book for a lightly used Nissan Leaf, far less than the best offer I got from a traditional dealer on similar cars. No haggling or mind games. Since I live about 80 miles from their office, I took a train in and Mike offered to pick me up at the station. The car was spotless and fully charged when I picked it up. So I just bought an awesome 2010 Lexus RX 350 from this dealership. I had been shopping around for a few weeks and knew what I wanted, but this dealership truly had the best deal by far. They sell used cars that were leased prior to being put up for sale, which gave them the ability to sell at a nice discount! In addition, I was already slightly over my budget as-is, so I had to negotiate the terms of the sale and got a great deal that worked very well for everyone. In all, Mike was an accomdating and helpful gentleman throughout the whole process. As a first time car buyer, he answered all my questions with patience.
