I've gotten this place numerous times (the perk of living a couple doors down) and it has not once failed me. The pizza is great, the burrata and bruschetta apps are both fantastic, the tiramisu is out of this world. Legit everything I've had was delicious. I tend to do take out more, but have dined in a couple times and had nothing but awesome service. I think they've done a great job of keeping their menu pretty small and really knocking it out of the park. Love this place (and the cafe attached)! read more

Well rounded menu, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Great environment for just some casual pizza and wine. Desert options are great. I absolutely love this place. It's something different that the neighborhood needed instead of another asian restaurant. It's even better now that you are able to build your own pizza, since it gives those that do not eat meat more options. Other wood fired pizzas have a tendency to be soggy, but the pizza here actually has a crunch to it. Now if they had a goat cheese base to pick from, I'd be in heaven. Came here for lunch a little over a month ago and had a potato and rosemary pizza. The style of pizza here is Napoletano with a bready and yeasty crust. I decided to add Italian sausage to it. My pizza was superb, even though a little more rosemary would been have nice. The gal that took our order was friendly and personable. I sure wish this place was in my neighborhood, but for now I will just have to be content to know that when in the Southside that this place is close by in the Armour Square neighborhood, near Redline stop at the Sox ballpark. read more

I can't say enough about this diamond in the rough ! Surfing the restaurant section "near me" I ran across the enticing pictures of salad fixings with fresh apple slices. Gee! I had enough to take home for lunch the next day. Not to mention the Vegetarian oven-baked pizza. Tasty, hearty and more than enough to take with. Desert..free if you mention it when you arrive. They were great the other night, late. We got some pizzas and salad. They were friendly, speedy, food was hot, it was good. The only area of improvement that I have is the cheese slid off of the pizza, and it was on the box for less than 2 minutes. Will definitely be back. read more

As a life long South Side guy, I've always loved our food. I live the neighborhoods and the vibe around Comiskey. That's why it made me so happy when I saw a new pizza place and coffee shop open steps from where the best baseball team in Chicago takes the field. My one and only experience was when I planned a pizza party for my son at this establishment. The owner, Mario was super helpful and pleasant every step of the way. Being a pizza place in a pizza town isn't easy. But they set themselves apart with a crispy and authentic wood fire pizza. One pizza will serve 1, if your hungry, so size isn't their format, but it's tradition and quality. Service was outstanding! Everyone was nice and quick. My whole family enjoyed the experience. I grabbed a cold brew next store and as a coffee snob, I still enjoyed it. Places like this make Bridgeport amazing. Go there. Mangia! Make sure they stay around! read more

Came for lunch and had the large apple salad, which was very good; a good salad is somewhat hard to find in this area. Followed it with a Brown Line smoothie (nutty, not too sweet) from the Red Line cafe, the counter of which is where orders for both restaurants are placed. The pizzas and sandwiches looked great. I'll be coming back to try those soon. I was told Sox fans haven't really discovered the place yet, so it might be a good, less-crazy pre-game option. I have been to literally dozens of restaurants in the city of chicago. Stix is one of my favorites! Full disclosure I am a nearby resident of Stix. This is a great little restaurant new to the south side. Whether your ordering out or going to a Sox game it's a great place to sit down and have a great salad, pizza or glass of wine and relax! The server we have every time we go is amazingly happy and helpful every time. Never a bad experience. This place is fantastic! I bring the family here all the time the staff, especially April, is always very cordial and accommodating of my kids. Pizza is thin and light so will need to order a couple for your family. My wife and I came about an hour before closing yesterday. We ordered a bottle of wine, an appetizer, pizza, and desert. The bruschetta was out of this world good. Everything tasted so fresh! We got the margarita pizza that was so flavorful with an awesome crust! It had the perfect balance of elasticity and crunch. The desert was pretty awesome as well. The waitress was so helpful and nice. That's very refreshing in this day and age. We will most definitely be back again the next time we are in Chicago. read more
