One of my girl friends and I went there for happy hour. Happy hour is Sunday through Friday 3- 5:30 pm and also Sunday-Friday 10- close, which I think is really good for being in the city! This was my first time going I've been wanting to go for a long time as my friend said the burger is great. I ordered the STK burger with fries. My friend ordered beef tartare, meatballs and STK & frites. Everything was great I really enjoyed the meatballs and the beef tartare had a bit of spiciness to it which made it unique. My burger was good but I ordered it Medium Well and it came out Medium so next time I go I will order it well done :) I think the pricing was great for being downtown and the inside was very pretty with purple lighting. I recommend STK and I will definitely be back!

I love STK have been here several times. Best Happy Hour in the city of Chicago. Great food vibes. The bartenders are amazing. I love the watermelon martini. All their drinks and bites are delicious. They get it right everytime and have amazing customer service.

Finally got to try this place and have to hand it over to them for the bougie vibes place felt like a weird intersection between old money and new/hip spot with the purple wall lights The mixologists/bartenders were definitely the highlight of the entire experience - they spoiled us with fantastic drinks one after the other and were cheery throughout the night despite being slammed with drink orders The food was pretty decent - really liked their take on tuna tacos with thin taro slices as shells instead of the usual corn/wheat Oh and their house made mashed potato bites were fantastic!

STK has hands-down one of the best happy hour menus in the Chicagoland area. Where else can get a $3, $6, $9 happy you menu? This particular day, the girls and I decided to meet up to do happy hour at Stk and we were not disappointed. We pretty much ordered a great selection of things from the menu and everything was so tasty. Unlike some places, they don't jip and they give you a great portion of what you order. The drinks are about nine or $10 as well and you can't beat that. I know that I will have a great time when I go to Stk and I will leave feeling full and happy. I can't wait to go back.

I would say this visit for dinner on veterans day was better than my breakfast venture. Service was very attentive this time around and easy to order from. As far as the ambiance goes, I'd say the music was a bit much and I personally didn't feel like it matched the vibe. Now for the food. Mushroom Arancini 5 of 5: Excellent flavors and fried perfectly. This is part of the happy hour menu, but is very delicious even for only 4 bites. Just wish there was more. Wagyu Meatballs 3 of 5: also on the happy hour menu, but the flavor was lacking. I could tell it was not much wagyu going on in this dish. Only get it during happy hour. It's not worth getting otherwise. Braised short rib 4 of 5: Great sauce and texture. Would order again for sure. The mashes potatoes underneath was the side I suppose, so order one separately if you'd need more food. Slightly to much for the amount. Brussel Sprouts 5 of 5: best dish for me. The combination of the thick cut bacon and cider was the most perfect contrast in flavors for this dish. I had to finish it all simple cause it was that delicious. I'd say I left over stuffed because of this dish. I do really recommend this place as it's got some great dinner options.

Stopped in for happy hour. The happy hour menu is extensive with different price points. I think the burger is probably the best bang for your buck. Enjoyed the beef tartare but wasn't a big fan of the stk & frites (steak was a little overcooked to my liking), the meatballs weren't seasoned enough but the portions are shareable and they have a great cocktail list under their happy hour section. I'd go back for the burger !

Ordered delivery from here cause they had a great deal of BOGO free for their chicken sandwich with fries. Around $17 (not including taxes & fees) for 2 meals is amazing! The meal was yummy They use chicken thigh and that made the sandwich pretty juicy - good flavor The fries were also really good! I've had this twice actually (2nd time better than 1st)

Let me preface with this, I have been to STK in Denver Colorado and had an AMAZING experience. My husband and I decided to spend our one year anniversary at STK in Chicago since we loved the one in Denver. My husband had made a reservation a week prior. We show up for our reservation at 8pm and are told there will be a 20 minute wait for our table and that we could get drinks at the bar, (we reserved a table a week ago so I found it odd that we would have to wait 20 minutes, especially since we told them and put under the reservation that it was our wedding anniversary, but I get it. I've worked in food service before and I get that things happen!) we waited at the bar for 10 minutes and no one had taken out drink order, my husband had to flag down a bartender to even take our drink order (2 drinks were $56, by the way). After 30 minutes my husband went up to the host stand to ask about our table and he was told that there was one more table ahead of us. For the next 15 minutes we saw several other groups and couples get seated. We finally were seated at 8:45 for our 8pm wedding anniversary dinner reservation (at a table where I was shoulder to shoulder with the couples next to me). Another 5 minutes passed with not so much as even water being brought out, so we left. We went to a sports bar down the street and were given three free rounds of shots and EXCELLENT service. Like I said, my husband and I have both worked in food service and I am now a nurse, so I understand that things happen and I really don't mind waiting. I do however don't understand how not one person even updated us on the wait time. If I knew we would have to wait 45+ minutes for a reservation, we wouldn't have waited at all. So do not waste your money here, it would be better send on pizza and fries at the Treehouse sports bar down the street! I will never recommend STK to anyone, save your time and money because they do not value it. read more

The food was actually pretty good but the ambiance is terrible. They can't figure out their identity. They have upscale food yet are trying to be a club for a younger crowd. There's an awkward DJ booth right in the dining room & then at one point they did a whole presentation of shot girls. I laughed hysterically, couldn't even believe it was real. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cute and elegant. DJ playing good music. The vibe was great. The staff is rude and impatient. While the server was taking my order I was reviewing the menu and he stated, "Time is running out." With a full attitude no laughter or joking. I had to send my food back 3 times because my steak was not cooked the way I asked. I asked for medium well it came back medium rare and gave me someone else's steak the second time I sent it back. Ruined the whole experience for me. Will not be back here because my first time was just horrible. read more

Ordered pick-up from STK during Thanksgiving holidays. We didn't try the steak, but everything we had was pretty good. We had their Maple Salmon, Wagyu Burger and Fries, and Mac and cheese and added lobster for an extra $13. I actually think it's probably more worth it to not get the lobster mac as they leave the shell to show you the lobster they've mixed in but then it feels like you're getting slightly less Mac and cheese! I'm sure when this is done for in store dining, it looks great though. Their heat lamps outside are nice and warm for outdoor dining or while you're waiting for your order to be ready. I waited around 15 minutes after my supposed pick up slot, but I'm sure they're still working out the kinks of balancing a lot of delivery orders, pick up orders, and outdoor dining. Noticed some others had waited 30+ minutes and received two bottles of wine so at least those who had to wait a pretty unreasonable amount of time got some sort of compensation. Right now they're also offering STK gift cards for a discount but it's for dine in only! read more

We typically get a feel for a restaurant (first) by trying the Happy Hour. Ordered an Old Fashioned that was half a glass. Tasty, but miniature. After finishing my drink, after three sips, I ordered another one which was a little bigger. Speaking of miniature, ordered the hamburger. My wife and I both laughed at the size of it when it arrived. The seven fries you get with it were tasty. Also ordered the tater tots. Saved the meal, otherwise we would have left starving. We are able to make an easy reservation for 6 people and we were seated right away. It was very dark and music was very loud. We all had to use the flashlights on our phones so we cod read the menu. Our server was great and gave us some good recommendations. The prices are very high so expect to spend $75+ for a steak and at least $18 for a drink. And the sides are all al a carte, big portions but also very pricy. I ordered the NY strip with truffle butter. They came out and seared the butter either a blow touch which was a nice touch and made the butter just melt thru the steak. However, the steak was not good. There was seasoning on the meat at all and I was wildly unimpressed. Also, they forgot one person's at the table meal and we all waited while the cooked it, which meant 5 of us had very cold food. For the price you would think they would ensure mistakes like that were not made. When our waiter learned that we had a birthday at the table they brought is a round of drinks which were appropriate. If you are on a date I would highly recommend this place. If you are going out with friends or business, I would recommend going somewhere else. You won't be able to hold a conversation it's so loud with the music and definitely avoid if you are a foodie. I am sure you can spend the same and get much better! read more

Dear Manager, Customer service should begin at the door. My fellah and I had a 415pm reservation tonight to celebrate our 7th anniversary. The STK hostess, in my opinion, requires more customer service training. We entered an empty restaurant with only one two top seated. I asked the hostess to seat us by the window and her response was that she only had one server and that wasn't his section. I am a veteran of the NYC fine dining industry and I have never told a customer that they could only sit in a certain section in an empty restaurant. I asked the hostess if the waiter would walk the extra 3steps to the window seat and she said in a louder voice that wasn't the servers section. At this point we left. We are now blissfully sitting down the street at Harry Carey's Italian Steakhouse. The staff is service forward, friendly and attentive. The food has been amazing!!! One star is far too many for this horrible establishment. After showing up early for our 7:30pm reservation we had to wait over 2 hours to get our table. We ordered immediately and received our food after 12am, which all showed up completely incorrect. We ordered dry aged ribeyes and were served the end cut of a filet with a tremendous amount of gristle, all cooked to the incorrect temperature. None of the sauces were correct. The fries would likely have been tasty had they been served even in the slightest bit of warmth. After 5 hours of being at this joke of a facility we were offered 2 free desserts for our group of 6 to enjoy. This is the worst restaurant experience of my life and I'd recommend avoiding this place at all costs. One member of our group ended up with food poisoning and has been extremely ill. Simply stated, this establishment should close their doors. read more

STK...STK...STK.. This steak house has been on my list for to long and the day finally came. As soon as I walked in I felt good vibes. Greeted immediately. Good music and what an aesthetically pleasing ambiance. The soothing white wave on the ceiling. The huge beautiful pastel flowering bouquets all over. Now to the food. We ordered calamari which was ok, not my best, nor my worse. The filet mignon was dry, which is weird because we ordered it medium/rare. Also, seasoned with peppercorn(no..no...no). The lobster tail was average. And could definitely use a better seasoned butter. I ordered the dry aged bone in strip medium/rare and it was mainly on the medium side. Ughhh ok. Not the end of the world. Mac N cheese and mash potatoes were average. Just like the rest of the meal. Overall average food with 5 star Michelin pricing. Open for outdoor dinning only, I wouldn't recommend going right now. The food was amazing and the service was great giving the circumstances. I thought there would be a tent or something to block the wind but only heaters were provided. They did the job for the most part but there was nothing blocking the wind and it was a little unbearable at times. We had the dry aged porterhouse steak with lobster mac & cheese and asparagus, spilt it between the table it was more than enough for the three of us. I definitely will be back once inside dining opens back or the weather permits. read more

Not a good choice. Clearly the concept is a draw, and the organization runs a chain of these through various big cities. I don't mind that; when done right there are strengths to be drawn from such. But. If you have a raw bar, first I try the jumbo shrimp cocktail. Because if that isn't good, no way will I trust you in oysters, clams, mussels, lobster. The jumbo shrimp in the jumbo shrimp cocktail have been boiled and then refrigerated for at least a couple of days, if not all week. No texture, no flavor. Limp and lifeless. Covered with stuff, but they could not hide. The bartenders are not attentive, The drinks have zero panache. Make sure you watch their prep carefully and taste to be sure you were given the top shelf spirits you ordered. I did not get what I ordered. When I pay these prices - over $200 a person without tip and tax and only 2 drinks - I expect more than just a trendy and visually appealing Applebees. Also, the staff is overwhelmed. Not unusual, post-early pandemic. I can't blame them for the long delays - there's no way for them to cope with the ratio of staff to customers. Suggest Rosebud's Steakhouse not too far away which is excellent, and shockingly, the Chicago Chop House - which seems cheesy at first glance - is actually far superior to STK. read more

Went here for their second year anniversary party. The sponsor was Ketel One vodka. Great drinks, great food, great service. The steaks here are too good not to try. Be prepared to bring your whole wallet as dinner for two can easily go over $200. Love the decor, kind of an upscale club/party style. The music is great, people really dress up to come here. DELICIOUS! Stk is one of my favorite steakhouses and I had an amazing experience. I ordered the dry aged tomahawk steak which was plenty for 2 people. It was seasoned to perfection and cooked MR just how I like it. I also ordered a side of garden vegetables and mushrooms which were cooked to perfection. The ambience was perfect, but just know the music is loud on Friday and Saturday evenings. They gave everyone free shots which was a great way to end the evening. Fantastic service, very well prepared meat, and well done cocktails. Ambiance was trendy and chic, without being an assault to the senses. My only complaint is the sharpness of the cranberries, their flavor could have been more mild and sweet while still providing a pallet cleanser for the rest of the meal. David was a fantastic server and Chef Will was conscious of our table's dietary restrictions. An overall fantastic experience. read more

I'd never been to Willow Room and liked that they had a four course dinner menu, with items I liked. I was able to make a reservation for a Saturday night at 8:15pm. PARKING Parking on Halsted on a Saturday night can be a nightmare, and it did take a minute to find street parking. North of the 1800 block is busier because there are several restaurants within a two block radius. Side streets are permit parking after 6pm. Meters on Halsted are $2.50/hr. ATMOSPHERE Willow Room was pretty packed. We had a reservation for 8:15pm and my party of two was seated right away. The restaurant features a full bar, dim lighting and is nice and roomy. They have banquette seating around the perimeter, in addition to tables in the middle. SERVICE Our server, who was very nice and accommodating during our dining experience, came by and gave us our menu's. I had already decided on the RW menu and after review, my friend was interested in the Beef Wellington (not on RW menu). Our server informed us that normally the whole table had to order off of the RW menu if one person does, but said she would check with the kitchen since this was the last day of RW. Luckily, we were able to proceed with ordering from different menu's. FOOD I ordered a raspberry Cosmopolitan. I'm a Riesling/Moscato girlie, but I tasted the Riesling and didn't like it. RW dinner was priced at $60. I ordered: First Course: Caesar Salad (Typical salad, was good) Second Course: Mussels (Tasted fine, came with a baguette) Third Course: Short Rib (Could've been slightly more tender and better seasoned. I've definitely had better. Wouldn't order again.) Fourth Course: Orange Ricotta Donuts (Donuts were very good. Three were served, a few more would have been more filling.) It should be removed from the menu altogether.) The busboys and server were very attentive. Our water glasses were always filled. OVERALL The atmosphere was nice, our server was great. Of all the food we ordered, I would order the truffle fries and Cosmopolitan again. I did leave full and did take my leftover Short Rib to go. Main dishes needed more seasoning. I would dine here again and try a different menu (brunch/lunch), or Happy Hour if they offer it.

Both of the cebiches were fresh, well balanced, and offered different experiences than each other. The bao was straight up delicious, sometimes baos can be a miss and this is something I'd definitely order again and recommend. The pork belly wasn't all fat either which was my favorite!! Anticucho de Pollo was also very yummy. Cocktail I had a Chicha Punch which wasn't exactly my favorite but it's because it's a red wine and tequila mix, the red wine didn't do it for me. I tried my husbands pisco cocktail though and that had something to offer! The bathroom is down some stairs, so keep that in mind. I probably would not be leaving a review on social media had my early efforts in attempting to address my concerns been met with any effort or concern on STK's part. We were entertaining clients. After still not receiving drinks approx 45 mins after ordering - we flagged a mgr down. About 5-10 mins later our drinks were delivered but no apologies. Two small tables pushed together to accommodate 4 - and tables wobbly. Small issues. Dinner ordered and received promptly but at least two entrees were not enjoyed - jumbo lump crab cake was not that - at best was shredded crab. For swanky steakhouse they could do better. The other meal that was not enjoyed was a steak that was tough and overcooked with a burned butter. Some of the issue COULD have been just a taste preference, but you can't say that about tenderness or temperature. Shared side dishes ordered - no serving spoons provided and was cold. The 2nd shared side was in a hot skillet with no way to serve or pass around. Did not see our server to get utensils or remark about meals. Two other entrees were ok - nothing remarkable. No entree plates were picked up/cleared off at anytime - even at the time of paying the bill. Since food was left on the plates we wrongfully assumed the server would notice and ask if we had enjoyed or not. The next day I emailed a request for someone to reach out to me from their "contact us" page. Crickets. After several days and some remarks among our guests about the bad experience, I thought I'd call. I was transferred to a voicemail and again, after requesting someone call - crickets. I tried again and finally did speak to a nice lady who took my notes and said she agreed none of what we experienced was what they expect from themselves. We left it she would provide the Director of Ops of that location the info and I would expect a call within 24 hours (but if I didn't get the call, I was to call back - really?) Crickets. I tried to call back minutes ago and was punted around and no one knew who should take a complaint call. I recognize this was (likely) a one-off bad experience but I am finished and cannot possibly recommend this place. Plenty of other steakhouses that would initially do a better job - and if not, fix it on the spot or be way more responsive to customer complaints. read more

I am extremely disappointed and honestly hurt by my experience at STK Chicago. I made a 7:45 PM reservation for two people and was not seated until 9:15 PM -- an hour and a half later. That kind of delay might be understandable with proper communication and professionalism, but that was absolutely not the case. I went to the host stand five separate times asking for updates. First, I was told it would be a 30-minute wait. Then I was handed a buzzer and told it would be about 25 minutes and to come back when it lit up. It never went off. When I returned to ask another host, she told me the buzzer wasn't even set to my reservation name. She finally corrected it, but by that point the disorganization was obvious. While still waiting, I heard a host loudly call out that she had a table for three. I asked politely if they were seating in reservation order, and instead of giving a professional response, she yelled at me. Being spoken to that way as a paying guest was embarrassing and completely unacceptable. What made the situation worse is that no manager ever came to check on us -- not while we were waiting excessively, not after we were seated, and not during the meal. With such a long delay and visible confusion at the front, management should have been aware of the situation and checking on guests. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, and no effort to make up for the time we lost or the way we were treated. The only positive part of the evening was our server, Patrick, who was kind and professional. Unfortunately, one good staff member could not make up for the poor handling at the door and the complete lack of customer care from management. I came expecting an upscale dining experience and left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and overlooked. Customer service should never make a guest feel like they're a problem just for asking about their reservation. This was not the level of hospitality STK claims to provide, and it was a very disappointing night overall. read more

I have found my new favorite spot to take clients and friends celebrations as well as any private event! I came into STK not knowing what to expect, typical Chicago steak house is what I always think. But to my surprise this has to be the sexiest steak house in Chicago! When we walked in we were greeted by a young lady who was welcoming and very nice, we didn't have a reservation and she called the manager right away and MANNY the mgr. came right over and got us a table within minutes. He stayed and talked to us and made us feel at home right away! Then our server came and greeted us and just the hello was so different than any other place in the city! He was so fun with a big smile and had great a vibe! The music was making me dance in my seat, our wonderful server Hugo then surprised us with two appetizers as we told him to, great choices, the tuna tartare has to be the best we've ever had, but the crispy lobster tails where seriously the best starter I ever had , nice crunchy and very tasty! We then got a porterhouse steak to share for the table along with Wagyu and two entrees also picked by Hugo and another one recommended by Manny. The short rib to die for and the Seared Tuna was the perfect addition to our food! The sides where too good that I wanted to take some to go just to let my employees at work know what they are missing out on! We then got a couple desserts as it was my friends bday the next day! We weren't planning on starting to celebrate her birthday until the next day but STK brought out the fun in us and we had to start then!! I will definitely come back and I recommend if you love to party and get great food and drinks them StK is the spot! Thank u Manny and Hugo for all the attention from the moment we arrived until our departure! Wish we we could've stayed all night! But will b here on Saturday! I recently had the opportunity to celebrate my daughter's birthday at STK Chicago, but unfortunately, the experience was far from what we had hoped for. Right from the start, things went awry. Our initial server was not up to par, prompting me to request a new server, which the manager graciously arranged. However, we spent an agonizingly long time waiting for basic items like drinks and bread. After reordering drinks, we still waited over 30 minutes, and when it came to our food, it took an additional 48 minutes. By that point, my patience was wearing thin. While your restaurant markets itself as an upscale dining destination, I found it lacking in several aspects when compared to other fine dining experiences I've had in Chicago and beyond. The claim of an upscale yet relaxed atmosphere seemed inconsistent; I spotted diners in baseball cap, the stench of marijuana aroma and women in attire that felt out of place for a fine dining setting. This is something I would never expect to see at places like Gibsons, RPM, The Chop House, La Grande Boucherie, or Smith & Wollensky. If STK Steakhouse aims to enhance its reputation, I believe a serious reevaluation of the service and overall atmosphere is necessary. A little attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the standards of fine dining could go a long way. I truly hope that future diners will enjoy a much-improved experience, because I will not be patronizing this restaurant again. read more

It was my husbands birthday last night , and we decided to go to the opening of STK. the restaurant is very small. Very loud also. The atmosphere is very modern and chic. The appetizers were ok shrimp cocktail and oysters. The best thing was the truffle fries. Everything else was terrible! The steaks and sides came out ICE COLD. Me and my husband shared a steak asked the waiter to split it for us, and he did not not do that. We gave our steak back and said it was cold and the sides were cold too, and the manager acted as though he did not believe me. I ordered the porter house steak, he said he could give me a skirt steak in 15 minutes. I said ok because it was opening night and I couldent really hear him over all the noise, but why would you offer me a skirt steak after I ordered a porter house? The skirt steak took about 25 mins, it tastes terrible! Like a supermarket steak. Tastes very sweet also for some reason. Sides came out STILL COLD. I told the manager. "I don't meant to be rude but you asked me how everything is and the sides are still cold," his response was " I didint ask you, I asked your husband." RUDE. The sides were ok, nothing special about this place for the place. Mastros is 100% better. And they never even offered a dessert for my husbands birthday. This was my first time at STK. There were seven in the dinner party for a birthday celebration. We enjoyed the music and the general atmosphere. Despite the fact that we had a reservation, we waited approximately 25 minutes for our table. This would have been more of a problem, if not for Nicki, the bartender. We sat at the bar and Nicki was great. She was personable and made excellent drinks. Our server was nice but overworked, clearly. No one assisted her with filling water glasses or bringing bread, etc., the table. We ordered appetizers and drinks. The calamari and sliders were cold and overcooked. The cocktails were delicious. The mocktails were nothing special. Dinner was disappointing. Nothing, including the steaks, was hot. More important, the Strip steak was not tender. The salmon and lobster mac and cheese were overcooked. We were there on Saturday night. Yes, the restaurant was busy. However, the food quality was not acceptable, under any circumstances, especially given the check amount. Our server said that she would let the manager know. However, no one came to discuss this with us. I cannot imagine that we will dine at STK again. read more

I went to STK Chicago with some co-workers for drinks after work on a Thursday night. We originally were just going to call it a night after drinks, but the energy and vibe in the restaurant was awesome so we decided we had to stay for dinner. Not sure the name of the DJ spinning but there were great beats. The quality of the meal was strong. The Little Burgers are a must! The combination of truffle, cheese and the brioche bun just made for an explosion of flavors....basically a party was going on in my mouth. For my entree I had the Glazed Beef Short Rib and the Parmesan Truffle Fries. The short rib was very moist and had great flavor. The truffle fries were crispy and what I loved the most was at most restaurants the truffle can be overpowering but that wasn't the case at all. My vodka soda's were very strong, so it was nice to see the bar tenders don't get skimpy with their pour. As for the atmosphere and service. I found all of the staff members were accommodating and the host was superb, she was able to get us a table even though they were booked that evening. Very good looking crowd and plenty of women. I stopped into STK Chicago during the week, and it was such a great experience from start to finish! The service was top-notch--our server was attentive without being overbearing, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. The vibe was chic but still relaxed enough to enjoy a weekday dinner. Now, the food! I started with the wagyu burger appetizer, which was absolutely a standout--rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Caesar salad was another favorite: crisp, fresh, and well-dressed without being heavy. For my main, I went with the steak and asparagus, which was cooked beautifully and hit all the right notes. I also tried the mac and cheese, which came out extra cheesy (some people might love that!), but it was a little too much cheese for me personally. Next time I'll definitely switch up my side--but that's more of a personal preference than a knock on the dish itself. Overall, the atmosphere + attentive service + solid food makes STK a spot I'll absolutely be returning to soon. If you're looking for a place that combines a fun vibe with great food, this is definitely it. read more

Getting seated was a breeze, but I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time, as the place can get quite busy. The ambiance was fantastic--the music set a great vibe, and the room had a night-time lounge feel that was both calming and inviting. The highlight of the evening was definitely the bartender, who was engaging, entertaining, and made the experience truly enjoyable. I wouldn't be surprised if I found myself becoming a regular here! Despite the busy crowd, the team, including the manager, kept things running smoothly while maintaining a fun atmosphere. If you're planning a visit, be sure to check out their Happy Hour specials from Sunday to Thursday, 2:30-5:30pm, and a late-night Happy Hour from 10pm to close. Worst Dining experience ever. Booked 2 weeks in advance of valentines day, arrived 15 minutes early to a 45 person line in -2 degree weather outside in Chicago. After waiting for 45 minutes to check in, we were told we needed to wait another hour, outside in the cold. It is clear that STK overbooked reservation times that could not truly accommodate guests, with no intention of even seating them. Instead they offered a "refund" for a $200 gift card that can be used at their restaurant at a later date. It cost us over $100 in uber fees to have STK ruin our valentines day. Not only did their overbooking violate many of the city health codes in regards to COVID-19, with hundreds of people crowding outside and inside the lobby, but the entire experience was awful - staff was not helpful and often rude to us and other customers. We waited over an hour and a half before taking our "refund" and leaving. Would not recommend anyone make reservations or dine here. read more

I had an opportunity to visit STK during the holidays and we had an amazing time from start to finish ! Sylvia our Hostess greeted us with professionalism and a smile when we arrived. She sorted out our situation with speed and she even came and checked on us during our time at the restaurant. Mark and Warwick were masters behind the bar with cocktails and food and some good stories too. Dauphe the Maitre'D was amazing as well with a smile and excellent customer service. The food was superb on the Happy Hour menu and the one item we didn't love, they handled for us. The cocktails were delicious and I think we tried them all. The ambiance and vibe was great, we left there after making a few friends as well. The whole experience was like coming to a friends house, not a stuffy restaurant. I felt so welcome and invited and it was my FIRST visit to the STK. Thank you for a wonderful experience and we will be back. read more

I may still recommend this restaurant for special occasions such as birthdays and bachelor/bachelorette parties. The atmosphere is upbeat and the music somewhat loud -- they have a DJ after 9pm, I believe. Food was good. Service, however needs to be improved. We were drinking our first glass of wine with dessert, and it was clear the waitress wanted to flip the table right away. She brought the bill without asking if we would like another glass of wine. We left the bill untouched on the table while we drank our wines. The waitress kept coming back for the bill. I finally asked her if she was in a hurry, and she said we could finish our wines at the bar! I had never been asked to leave my table at a restaurant and finish my drink at the bar. Borderline rude. Well... the bar was very crowded and my friends and I had to finish our drinks in a corner. This was not ideal and tainted our impressions of the restaurant. read more

We had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful hip restaurant. The ambiance was very trendy and elegant with it's black and white enterioir. A very modern setting and the dim light made the experience superb. The food was beyond my expectations. The steak was so soft that the knives cut through it like butter. The sour dough appetizer was a magical experience. The lil brg appetizer was among one of my favorite appetizers too. For our main course we had the opportunity to enjoy a mouth water, moist cod. The mashed potatos were an out of this world experience. For dessert we recommend you try the chocolate cake. This experience would not have been the same if it wasn't for our amazing server Brett Bergen. His hospitality was very kind and very knowledgeable. Lastly thank you to the manager Neil who took the to come visit our table and make sure we were taken care of. Thank you, we will be back! read more

This has to be my new favorite spot in Chicago!! It is SEXY, Great food, Awesome Drinks, and The best service I ever had in the city of Chicago! We started at the Bar with a couple of cucumber stilettos which were to die for, nice and refreshing right before dinner. We were then sat Ima beautiful booth that was big enough for our party of 8! Appetizers on point, steaks and entrees very very deliscious! I.e. 20 ribeye with Oscar topping and Brussel sprouts side yum!!! Red velvet cheese cake to end it but the best part of the whole experience is who made the Best experience HUGO our server was amazing he explained what STK is all about and brought to the table! I would definitely recommend dining at STK Chicago! The staff was incredibly kind as my spouse and I came in this past Sunday for our anniversary dinner. Neema was exceptionally kind to us, she let us know she would be assisting our server during our dinner and she did not disappoint! She made great conversation whenever she stopped by, always had a smile on and we could tell it was a very busy night yet she still checked in on us multiple times, helped us take some great photos, made sure our table stayed nice and neat and our waters stayed filled until the moment we left, she even went the extra step and helped us box up all our food to take home! My wife and I have worked in the industry for a while and it's those simple things that really make a restaurant's service impeccable. Thank you Neema! read more

Worst experience ever! Very rude staff including the seat organizer and the manager that I spoke to in person who ended up yelling at everyone who have been waiting outside the restaurant for over one hour without any accommodation in such a freezing weather while they were hiding inside the restaurant despite everyone having a reservation ahead of time. STK cared about nothing but to take everyone's money ahead of time, overbooked the place and had everyone stay outside without any heads up or even a well heated accommodation. Some people asked for cancellation. However, all what they were offered is a gift card from STK despite paying $200 for the reservation. So basically for the restaurant it was a win win situation. SUCH A NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. read more

Me and my friends went to STK for their Dare to Brunch. It was 10 of us. We came in, got mimosas and out table was ready in 2 minutes. We ordered crab and avocado omeletes that were amazing, we also got caviar and that was delicius. One of my friends wanted customized omelet just with egg whites, with no cheese and mushrooms and he got it. He was very satisfied. We ordred steak and egg which was so good we couldn't stop eating and the potatoes that comes with it are the bomb. We also got short rib which was melting in the mouth and boujee french toasts and we didn't leave a piece. Also if you go, get their doughnuts, they are so good. Music and atmophere were exactly what we were looking for. Definitely not a boring brunch. We can't wait for next one. read more

I asked for the best steak experience in Chicago and i was not disappointed! The food was phenomenal...my filet was cooked to perfection and the brussel sprouts & corn casserole were the best I've ever had. Our meal was complimented with a fabulous cabernet and finished off with an ice cream sandwich made with chocolate chip cookies, birthday cake ice cream & chocolate chips...to die for! But were it not for the exquisite service & menu suggestions of Elizabeth, the meal would not have been so enjoyable. She anticipated our every need and accomodated our gluten free guest....so very delightful! DryScott, you should be VERY proud of your staff and your restaurant!! We had our annual office holiday party at STK and couldn't be more pleased. Jessica was beyond accommodating from beginning to end. From setting us up in our own private room, to making sure each of our specific needs were met. Not only did Jessica contact the chef to make sure our allergy friendly food (vegan, vegetarian, gluten, and other allergies) were cooked to the exact needs for a few of my staff, the night of our dinner Rachel oversaw us personally to triple check our plates. The two servers for us that night were Jessica and Tara who made us feel so comfortable and kept our glasses full. I would highly recommend anyone to STK not only for large parties but for dinner and/or drinks as well. Great food, great service! read more
