As someone who loooooooves STK in Chicago, I HAD to try the Scottsdale location while in town for my birthday and I must say, I've fallen even more in love with this restaurant! I went with my two aunties, who've never been to STK so this was a first time experience for them and they loved it! This location just opened up back in October, so it was fairly new to the area but such a great location especially with them having patio seating! The views were so beautiful and the music was just the right volume on the patio, which is where we sat. The service was also amazinggggggggg!! Our server was Izzy and our bartender was Bri -- together they're a dynamic duo for sure! Like I said, I was there for my birthday and surprisingly, Bri sent us a round of birthday shots -- they were so good! For food, we caught happy hour right in time so we did the corn fritters, short rib quesadillas, lil brgs (which my great aunt was so obsessed with she said she wanted to make it into an ornament, lol), the burger, and some more stuff! So we finally came in for dinner for my wife's birthday and even though we have order take out before we were left extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. We order 3 side dishes ( Potato gratin, corn pudding and mushroom pie) one appetizer tuna tar tar, the scallop aqua chile, the mushroom pasta , and finally the shrimp linguini. I can tell you that everything was below mediocre the sides were cold the scallop aqua chile was tasteless and the pastas were barely warm. Beyond that my wife whose birthday we were celebrating was very upset that the woman restroom was not in good order nearly no toilet paper no sanitary covers and broken toilet seat. Is there a way to give ZERO stars? We recently made a reservation at the new STK location, expecting the same elevated experience we've had at their Old Town spot. Unfortunately, this visit was a complete disappointment from start to finish. I had specifically booked outdoor seating for my husband's birthday, assuming it would reflect the same upscale ambiance STK is known for. Instead, we were directed to what can only be described as a metal, picnic-style table setup--right by the road. Between the uncomfortable seating and the noticeable exhaust smell from passing cars, it felt completely out of place for a restaurant charging premium steakhouse prices. Hoping for a simple solution, we politely asked if we could be seated indoors. At the time, there were multiple open tables both inside and outside, and no visible crowd. After waiting, a male staff member--possibly a manager--approached us with zero flexibility or concern. No attempt to accommodate, no alternatives offered--just a blunt "it is what it is." At that point, we chose to leave. This isn't about price--we're more than happy to pay for a great experience. But when you position yourself as a high-end steakhouse, service and hospitality matter just as much as the food. This experience felt dismissive, rigid, and far below expectations. If management doesn't address this level of customer experience, it's hard to see this location lasting long. We won't be returning. read more

Pretty good happy hour here. The restaurant has been completely re-modeled from when it was RA Sushi and it looks a lot more elevated and classy now. There's free street parking around the corner. Came in late, had never been but had a weird day and was hungry for dinner late. Luckily they're open until midnight. Grabbed a seat at the bar and was greeted quickly by Bri. She was so friendly and positive, took an instant liking to her. My wife and I both ordered the old fashioned and looked over the menu. We decided on a half dozen oysters and the steak frites. We asked what the oysters were and Bri went to find out for us. We decided on 3 west coast and 3 east coast. She was really helpful. Steaks came out and were cooked perfectly, medium for the wife and medium rare for me. We ended the night with an amaro. Biggest downside was the noise level. It was ear-splittingly loud. I indulged in my favorite cocktail, a Cosmopolitan which she made exactly how I like it. She made my friend slightly dirty Martini's perfectly. We indulged in several HH menu items: Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail, Steak Frites, Cheeseburger and Beef Tartare. All the dishes were well presented and tasted great and for the HH price, you didn't feel you were breaking the bank LOL. I spent Thanksgiving at STK last night and I'm amazed at all the yummy food and friendly customer service. Our server Jah Jah was great! He was funny and patient with us. There was a live DJ playing all the hits! Towards the end of dinner service we were asked by the manager if we can move tables and in return be compensated for the inconvenience. OK, let's start with the atmosphere. It was a tad loud as there seemed to be a DJ perhaps or just upbeat music being played over the loudspeaker. We went to our dinner reservation at 7:45 and as the appetizer we ordered tater tots, which were five out of five so delicious not greasy at all the potato was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, blended with cheese all throughout, it was really good. Next, we got the seafood platter that's on the appetizer menu which in my opinion was a little pricey for what we got, but perhaps the value is in the source as we do live in Arizona and quality seafood is probably just higher priced. That appetizer came with a half dozen oysters, a small dish of ceviche, which I think was the best dish on this platter and a small dish of muscles and a small dish of clams as well. The salad came with a bundle meal that we got it was like a two entrée +2 sides type of bundle for $130 I believe we got two steak which I forgot to take pictures of but I give those steaks and eight out of 10 because they were lacking in seasoning but they were cooked really well and the cut was really high-quality Now the flavored butter's are a little bit ridiculous in my opinion $12 for them to torch a chunk of butter on your steak just wasn't worth it in my mind, the butter did elevate the flavor profile, but I think the butter should be included if you get a steak or really anything that you would like butter with I don't understand paying $12 for a chunk of flavored butter read more

This was the 3rd and final stop on our happy hour trek and it did not disappoint! STK is always top notch, but the service and food here was downright delicious. First of all if you're going to multiple happy hours if you stick to the happy hour menu you can get out of here full and with a pretty minimal bill. We ordered a decent amount and we were stuffed by the time we cashed out. The steak and frites though they looked small were packed with flavor and the tenderness was just right. The Japanese wagyu tacos came in second. The only thing that we did not enjoy was the beef tartar, which sounded weird so I had to order it. They came out looking more like dog food and did not provide a very decent taste. The server was nice enough to take them off the bill, but we made up for them with the mushroom arancini and the wagyu meatball. Drinks were decent but I had to revert back to my jalapeno margarita. After we explored the regular menu in drinks we cashed out and learned that we should have stick with the happy hour drinks as the price for our regular drinks stung a little. All in all I really couldn't complain about anything. The vibe and the music completed the experience and I can say we'll be visiting a location closer to home just for the happy hour. I was excited to see STK in Old Town Scottsdale. Unfortunately, it was disappointing for me. The staff were great and attentive and I never had to wait for anything I asked for. The ambiance is nice but underwhelming. In their defense we sat outside. We were given a a bread in a skillet which was good but the pesto sauce was not good at all. The wedge salad was good. It had a small amount of bacon and cherry tomatoes instead of a good beef steak tomato. The filet was 6oz and came out medium when asked for medium rare. No big deal but for that kind of price they should get it right. I'm not sure why it had an onion slice on the plate but it didn't make it more attractive. The steak sauce was another sauce they got wrong not for my taste. The Steak Frites was a happy hour portion but still just okay. This was a disappointing experience and quite shocking. We had a $50 coupon so we came here for lunch HH. There was a brunch menu QR code but when we tried it there was and error code - we asked our waiter and she said it's not out yet. We ordered a ton from HH and the food overall was pretty good, until it came to our burger. We cut it into half to share and I look more closely and there's PAPER. Multiple pieces of paper. I thought it was lettuce but no it was paper. As it got busier our waitress just ignored us so it was hard to flag her down. We then flagged her down and told her and she's like oh yeah that's not supposed to be there. The manager came over and he apologized, said he would comp it. We had the coupon so he said he'd be back to give his card to contact him or have the burger comped. We got the new burger and it was completely well done (and SO dry) when we had asked for medium. Finally our server came and we looked at the receipt and she forgot to include the $50, even though she had thanked us for telling her earlier. We asked her to change it and looked at the receipt again and she charged us for salmon cones, which we never received because she said they were out of it (they were also out of tator tots and oysters). They also had two burgers on there and took off the price of one which we were confused about. We had never ordered two burgers. After about 15-20 minutes, we got a hold of her and she said the salmon cones were a mistake and for the burger it was because they had to make another burger and we had to pay for the new one. The manager never came back, and we saw him outside and he said bye but clearly didnt communicate with his staff and/or forgot about what happened. The food wasn't horrible but the service was absolutely ridiculous. They said all these things (eg. Comped or give us his card) after a huge mistake (and more mistakes after that) and didn't follow through. We also had to ask for things multiple times (steak knife, ketchup) because they didn't give it to us. Multiple things including dishes were dropped on the ground. We arrived for our 7:30 reservation at 7:25 and were told that we could go into the bar area and order a drink while our table was getting set up. So hubby and I went into the bar and sat down and proceeded to wait. And wait. No one greeted us nor said a word to us for a good 10 - 15 minutes. This is happening while there are no less than four bartenders behind the bar right in front of us making their drinks, but none of them ever looked up to acknowledge us. There were two other groups waiting to order as well, and we all were looking at each other in disbelief. After about 15 minutes, one of the bartenders asked us if we wanted something to drink, so we ordered two cocktails. They took a while to be made and finally arrived several minutes apart, but at least they were tasty. Finally at 8:10 we were told we could be seated at our table for our 7:30 reservation. Unfortunately, we were given a two‑person table, which we both detest because we prefer sitting on the same side as one another. After being seated, our waiter asked what we wanted to drink and hubby and I both requested an iced tea with lemon. Our waiter explained they were out of iced tea and asked if there was something else we would like. We both declined and simply stayed with water. I couldn't believe a restaurant was out of iced tea! Seriously?! Send one of your kitchen staff to Fry's or Safeway to pick up some teabags. We started off with two appetizers - the calamari and the crabcake. We found ourselves disappointed with the calamari, as it was not fresh, but rather frozen. The crabcake however was very good, chock full of crab meat and very flavorful. Hubby ordered the Delmonico steak and I ordered the bone‑in filet mignon. We also opted for a side of the potatoes and the crispy Brussel Sprouts. Our food came, and unfortunately, my medium‑rare filet was way overdone. The waiter apologized and returned it to the kitchen so they could make me a new one. Meanwhile, hubby gave me a bite of his Delmonico and I couldn't believe how good it was! So flavorful and juicy, with all of the various flavors melting together with the butter on top. Delicious! After a short wait, I received my replacement and was very pleased with it. The cook on it was perfect and the choice of sauce was spot on. The sides complemented our steaks nicely and I found myself too full to finish. At this point, I was feeling a little sluggish so hubby asked if we could get a couple of espressos only to be told they did not serve espresso and the only coffee they had was decaffeinated. He did tell us they sold cold brew in a can, so we ordered a couple of them. In all honesty, I was still shocked that a restaurant could be out of two basic items that seem like staples to have on hand. While waiting for our check, we both decided to use the restroom and hubby had some very strong words to say about his visit. Not only was it filthy and dirty inside, but the wall next to the urinal was polka‑dotted with dried loogies that had been spit there to hopefully dry until they were official artifacts. To top it off, hubby was aghast at having to stare at a very well‑used plunger that hadn't been cleaned and was sitting right next to the urinal instead of in the closet a few feet away. He said it's definitely time for that one to be retired and once management springs for a new one hopefully whoever is cleaning the restrooms knows that they need to be cleaned after each use and not allow the biohazard matter to build up so much that it creates a misshapen mess. And it definitely should be hidden out of the line of sight of your patrons. And finally, the biggest reason we will not be returning any time soon: that music was just way too loud! We understand that you want to be lively and energetic. However, the atmosphere is more like a dance club than a nice steakhouse. You have good food (with the exception of the overdone filet, but that was corrected) and I know many people who would enjoy dining at your establishment, but not with the current vibe. I left that party scene many years ago. Now when I go out for dinner, I want to enjoy having a conversation with the people I'm with and not have to fight to make myself heard or constantly lean in and read the person's lips across from me simply because of the loud music. If you really want to be a dance club, then open one up next door and allow your restaurant side to focus on simply serving good food. That's just my two cents! read more

Corporate couldn't even confirm whether the restaurant was actually open. When they finally let people in, I was seated, ignored, and then discovered the advertised lunch Restaurant Week menu apparently wasn't even being offered. When I asked if Restaurant Week was still active, the hostess literally said, "I don't know." I left. From the moment we walked in, the host gave the impression that she did not want to be there. She barely spoke to us, seemed annoyed, and acted like seating us was a challenge even though the restaurant was practically empty. There were only about three tables occupied in the dining area (including us) and two couples at the bar. We asked for the AZ Restaurant Week menu and when taking our order, our server asked if I wanted chimichurri with my steak. I was simply thinking about it because I'm picky, and before I could even answer she said, "It's not extra," as if cost was the concern when it wasn't. Then when our steaks came out, she told my friend, "Just a tip, I'd cut the steak this way." We didn't ask, and this wasn't our first time eating at a steakhouse. The steak was difficult to cut regardless, so the comment felt unnecessary. To top it off, she completely forgot our dessert and had already brought us the check. We had to remind her, and instead of asking if we wanted to enjoy dessert there, she boxed it up automatically and put both desserts into the same container. There was still an hour left before closing and the restaurant was empty. Also, we weren't even going to the same place after dinner, so why combine them into one box? Went to STK last night and honestly, it was a mixed bag. The food was solid and our server did a decent job, but the atmosphere was so loud that we were basically shouting across the table. Drinks were another letdown--mine tasted like it had melted before it even got to me. The weirdest part was seeing a $2 charge for each large ice cube after someone in our group ordered tequila to sip. I've never seen that before. Wife and I stopped by for happy hour and boy were we "happy". Morgyn was our server and she was just terrific. Great attitude and checked in with us on many occasions. The food was phenomenon. Just a great old time. Do stop when you are in town. read more

The reason my review is 3 stars is because the service from our waitress, Morgan, was amazing! She was very kind and accommodating. Had it not been for her, this review would be 1 star. The atmosphere here at the new location of STK doesn't match the price point of the dining experience. We came on a Friday night and DJ Adrian was decent. The music that he played was decent background music but it doesn't create a "vibe". The food here was EXTREMELY mediocre and not worth the money paid. I was told that there was a new chef on the line and they were "getting used to things". However, this is the second time I've been to STK in Scottsdale....once at the old location and once at the new and the food is still mediocre for me and my family's taste. Our son, whose birthday we celebrated, ordered a steak, I didn't get a picture of it, but he said the steak didn't have a good flavor and he's had better steaks made at home. My husband ordered the Halibut Fish and Chips of which he said lacked all flavor in the fish and batter and tasted like fish you'd get out of the frozen section in Walmart. My braised short rib was good and tender. I believe the short rib is the specialty here. I say this because the table next to us ordered steaks and they sent them both back.
