There are different two lines, it is very noisy and if you don't know where you need to go, it can be frustrating. If it is your first visit..do t go to the online ordering section. Instead go to the main line. They will ask you if you have a table, we didn't do I guess they get it while you wait in line. I ordered the lunch special. The food was delicious. The food is very tasty, but I am never prepared for the lack of quality service I receive either dining in or picking up. Something is forgotten or not prepared as I ask far more often than it is. I booked stonefire grill to cater a party of 30 at my home this past Sunday and it was a wonderful experience. Booking the event was so easy and hassle free and their prices are so reasonable. I had one server named Phillip at my event and he really did a great job. Not only was he punctual but he put together a beautiful set up and had outstanding customer service. He was a pleasure to have in my home and his presence made my event so stress free. The food was delicious and everyone ate well and we still had food left over after the event. How hard is it to get service with a smile and food brought to table hot? Rolled her eyes when we asked for butter. The server brought cold food and never came back to table. Catering is the way to go with this place because the restaurant has failed every time I have been here. Servers have an attitude as if asking for butter is some great imposition. Never came back to check on the table. Ended up having to go find her to see where our desert was and she said she would go get it and went off to serve another table and we ended up with desert to go. The food is so delicious and always prepared fresh. Revised as of 6/29/18 Management took my suggestions and is improving the takeout experience. I truly love this place and I am pleased at their response time and consideration of customer feedback. Previous- i go to this location often- weekly. The main issue I have is with the takeout service. It seems as though they have so many orders to fill at one time no matter what time in the day you arrive. I always double check the order on the phone with the person taking then when I get to the restaurant I make them open the bag and go over the items with me. I cannot remember a time when my order was correct. It's the little things that matter and feeling good about what you are taking home to your family is so important. It sucks when something is wrong and a person can't eat the dish you brought home. I would give it a no star but not possible. Anyway here is what happened. First I was picking up my order at 7:15 PM and I waited until 7:30 as the order wasn't ready. If it stated 7:15 shouldn't the order be ready by then. No excuses, no apologies from them. When I insisted for apology y asking the manager's name which was Cesar Gonzales then I got my apology. He was dumb founded why I ask for his full name as I really wanted to emphasize the importance of apologizing and on my end to note to them that if I was to wait they should notify me or the customer in general so we don't have to. The pasta was late and so the rest of the food was sitting on the table over 1/2 an hour. Then the bbq was not there and the manager got it. The sad part is that with this Covid situation and customer service being less personal I get it but a manager has a role to explain the situation and be humble to the customer. read more

Had a catering for 60+ people and the food was amazing as always. We ordered 3 "The Works" Crowd Pleasers, which was enough for 70 people in my opinion. 12 -chickens (cut in quarters) 9 -tri tip (slices up beautifully) 12 - large sides (6 Mashed, 6 Mac 'n' Cheese) which they put in 2 large aluminum pans. 6 - salads (3 Caesar / 3 Garden) And like 1 million breadsticks (my fav) We ware able to pick up the order by 10:30, which was the earliest I was allowed. Every "The Works" Combo was $207.99. We bought three. Everyone ate twice I think. Anyway, The tri-tip was excellent. The chicken was a tad too dry for me but noone seemed to complain (maybe they drowned it in BBQ sauce). My sides were Mashed potatoes and Mac 'n' Cheese (We paid $6 extra for the upgrade and it was worth every penny). Salads came in small containers, so I had to buy a big bowl so i can toss the salads myself. Worked out fine. Having all the extra containers at the end of the day was great, due to the left overs. They have heaters in the patio area and it is apparent that tables and chairs are being cleaned when people leave. All employees are wearing their masks correctly. I've been going to the Stonefire in West Hills and Chatsworth for a long time. Their food is out of this world with all their meats grilled to perfection doused in garlic lemon and butter or their bbq sauce. Their salads are always fresh and delicious and their mashed potatoes have the perfect amount of garlic in them. My one issue I have had lately is that the last three times I've gotten takeout, at least one thing is missing from my order, so best to go in in person. read more

Yeah, I've experienced better, and I've experienced better from Stonefire Grill. I ordered the chicken breast and tri-tip "from the grill." I'm guessing it came from the grill adjacent, because the second it got to my table it was all already lukewarm. Half way through the meal - cold. Flavor of the chicken good but the trip-tip was just tough and chewy. Mashed potatoes dry and crumbly. Just all around disappointing for the price. I do not know why I have no written a review of this place? Ive been a regular since I first was granted permission to go out with friends. Using my parents money I used to buy some breadsticks and was in heaven. I one time came to watch a movie at the Pacific Theatre and snuck in a whole order (6 breadsticks) into the movie #Truestory Honestly everything I have always gotten here has been delicious. I have been by myself, with friends and with family and we typically stick to the same formula. Some meats- chicken and tri-tip, salad and maybe some pasta but always breadsticks. I am especially fond of the tri-tip with lemon garlic and gorgonzola spread. For salads I typically like the BBQ salad which is their specialty. It's delicious and full of flavor and crunch which I love. Another favorite side of mine is the mashed potatoes. But really for me the breadsticks make it for me. I ordered online yesterday for my sons birthday and truly disappointed. My sons favorite is pizza. And the one i got was substandard. It was cut unevenly that it came in 5 irregularly pieces. Like someone played cutting it. Even my 3 yr old can cut it better. In short he didnt eat it because one piece would be half of the pie which is huge. And the rest would be 1/8 of it?!! Who else is out there trying to eat good during the Holiday Season? I like Stonefire Grill because I can get a petite tri-tip and a Caesar salad, ignore the breadsticks, and feel pretty good about myself. But I went there for lunch today and maybe it's because Thanksgiving is three days away, but they were totally off their game. I paid with my debit card and when he gave me a receipt to sign the pen didn't work so I asked for another one. The second also didn't work. So you know what he said to me? "Well, if it happens twice it's probably you and not the pen." WHAT??!!!! I signed with the 2nd pen that didn't write and handed the receipt back to him. Not only was that rude, but where's my thank you? Where's that warm & fuzzy "we appreciate your patronage" feeling??? (I wish I could say he said it as a joke but he didn't laugh and wasn't smiling.) Next, cause yeah, it didn't stop there, the gentleman who delivered my tri-tip spilled hot butter and grease all over the table and my coat. Then he left saying he would return with a towel. He didn't. The manager walked by and noticed the order # still on our table and asked if we had gotten everything. I said we didn't get a towel. (We had covered the mess with napkins...) She apologized and said they would pay to have my coat cleaned. Then, as if by magic, the gentleman reappeared with a wet towel to clean up the mess he had made. Since everyone is a bit tense during the holiday season I'll give them two stars instead of one. That's me showing off my holiday spirit. Food is great! Haven't been disappointed. This was the first trip that we went into the restaurant and we were very confused. There was no way to understand the ordering/seating process and when we asked the host she explained in a way that was still very confusing. Apparently you have to give your name for a table and as you wait for the table you have to wait in line to order at a counter. We each ordered the petit salad size except one coworker who was confused and ordered a medium. Once we were seated we realized that his salad was meant to feed 3-4 people! The MacDonalds of barbecue. The restaurant is designed so they can get as many people through as quickly as possible, NOT for comfort or a pleasant experience. The three registers where you order are so close together that we could barely hear each other, and I was bumping elbows with the guy next to me. We were assigned to a table across from the soda machine next to a table of about seven kids (and no adults) who were horsing around in the aisles acting like kids with no parents. I saw there was room outside and it seemed less cold and a little quieter. We picked a small table for two, but because of the bad layout, servers and customers were constantly brushing by us. It was too late to move to the only other small table next to the big group with the cute toddler in the Prince Charming bib who screamed every 30 seconds. I'd rather enjoy him from afar and put up with the parade of butts going by. Our table was too small for the food. The server even said, "Sorry this table is so small." No one offered to give us to-go containers nor did anyone make eye contact with me as I wandered around looking for them. So I went to the front to the girl I ordered from to ask where they were. I put my plate inside on the barbecue sauce station so I'd have room to pack up leftovers. I didn't want to put it on a table that was assigned and there were no other horizontal surfaces. Oh yeah, the food! Tri-tip, bread sticks and barbecue sauce were good, cartwheel salad not as good as it used to be, and the potatoes okay. The service here is exemplary! Servers are courteous, attentive and efficient. Unfortunately the food is bland, mediocre and poorly prepared. I tried the petite chicken breast, tri-tip medium rare, garden salad and chicken tortilla soup no strips. Both meats with different flavoring were served on the same plate thus mixing the steak sauces with the chicken sauces uh NOT GOOD returned to have them served separately. Steak was cooked rare returned to prepare as medium rare some dark with a bit of pink inside NEVER GOT IT RIGHT i left with the rare steak . Garden salad is a mix of old salad thrown into one bowl then add carrots. Most of the lettuce leaves were brown or yellowing. The soup was served cold the first time and returned for a hot bowl. There's plenty of seating inside (you seat yourself btdubs) and the sauces and drinks are all refillable at your convenience. We love getting the Stimulus package here. It comes with tri-tip/chicken, pizza, salad, and breadsticks all for $30! It can comfortably serve 3. However, it's only a To-Go option and it used to be $22 (back in 2010). So, for almost a decade, an $8 raise isn't too bad. It's our thing to come here every now and then because of its quality of food as well as value for the price! read more
